4-0 out of 5 stars fun western
this is a very enjoyable, light hearted, easy to watch western, not a great one to some but is high on my list. i wish someone would tell me why it never came out on dvd.

4-0 out of 5 stars In this corner, Flynn; in that corner, Smith!
I don't generally care much for Westerns, but "San Antonio" is a highly enjoyable, often laugh-out-loud example of the genre.Errol Flynn and Alexis Smith engage in a lot of snappy repartee, Smith belts out the classic "Some Sunday Morning", and S.Z. Sakall, a staple of 1940's musicals and comedies, shines here.

4-0 out of 5 stars A charming, lighthearted mid-'40s oater
Errol Flynn was never more debonaire than in this briskly paced, totally enjoyable, two-fisted Western romance. Flynn plays Clay Hardin, a rancher who's been chased out of town by a syndicate of corrupt rustlers, but is back in town with the proof that will vindicate him... and with a hankering to meet actress Alexis Smith. She's a high-tone New York gal who finds herself charmed by the dapper, self-assured machismo of Flynn's good-natured rustic roughneck. You'll be charmed, too: it's hard to imagine anyone else being so suave and polite when they're whomping on the bad guys. Filmed in brightly saturated Technicolor, with the ruins of the Alamo eerily lit by the Texas moon. This film is a goodie! [Cast note: anyone who was charmed by S. K. Sakall's famous comedic cameo as a German emigre in "Casablanca" ("What watch mama?") will get a kick out of his extensive supporting role in this film... More cutesy ethnic schtick than you can shake a schntizel at!] ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Leonard Nimoy Naked?
Catlow is a good western about the friendship between two men; Bijah Catlow(Yul Brynner)and Ben Cowan(Richard Crenna).Based on the novel by Louis L'Amour, Catlow tells the story of Cowan's pursuit of his childhood friend Bijah Catlow.Brynner as Catlow is completely believable as the amiable outlaw that L'Amour wrote about.Good action sequences and quick dialogue.Sometimes a little confusing if you haven't read the book, which is better than the movie.Watch out for a bizarre and unnecessary Leonard Nimoy butt scene! However Nimoy plays a decent gunman although he has very few lines. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Unconventional Western
Henry Levin's post-Civil War western, shot in Techincolor, features real-life best friends Glenn Ford and William Holden (both RIP) as former Union officers who find themselves on opposite sides after Owen Devereaux (Ford) becomes town judge, and who begins to abuse his power to punish anyone who opposes him. Del Stewart (Holden) is made town marshal but he sees that his friend is slipping more and more into insanity (which today would be referred to as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), brought on by his experiences during the war. Enemy lines are drawn more strongly as Devereaux marries Carolyn (Ellen Drew), with whom Stewart is also in love. As Owen's mind deteriorates and his madness intensifies, the town is thrown into a uproar and his sadistic, murderous tendencies only grow. Of course, there has to be a showdown that only one man can win.
5-0 out of 5 stars In Glenn Ford' s memory!
With the sensible departure of Glenn Ford, also has extinguished the last exponent of an actors' generation gifted of the interpretative versatility per excellence.
4-0 out of 5 stars Great Psychological Western With Ford and Holden
The late forties saw an interesting subgenre of the Western appear-the psychological Western, which emphasized characters' thoughts and emotions as much, if not more, than action.

A "High Noon"/"3:10 to Yuma" storyline (one good man against dozens of bad ones, no one to help him but one woman, yada yada) but with a few twists that take the ho-hum out of it.Good performances by Quinn and Douglas and Earl Holliman plays the evil/weak/horrid son so well you want to reach into the screen and kick him silly.
5-0 out of 5 stars Superb Kirk Douglas Western - His Best
Kirk Douglas and director John Sturges had worked together in 1957's The Gunfight at The OK Corral, and Douglas and frequent co-star Burt Lancaster had made a memorable Wyatt Earp/Doc Holliday pair.

5-0 out of 5 stars Ifit's Roy It's Great
If you are a Roy O. fanyou gotta have this movie ! His one and only where he performs a roll not as himself but as an actual charactor.2-0 out of 5 stars Roy Orbison's big mistake
The mistake isn't this film, but the decision that led to it.In early 1965, Roy Orbison left Monument Records - where he had his biggest success - for MGM Records, partly so he could try his hand at movies. His recording career promptly skidded downhill (at least in the US), and this silly Western comedy was the only film he completed; he's adequate enough, but when he's not singing he seems bland and colorless. Still, if you're a big Roy Orbison fan, or a fan of this kind of movie, this tape is for you.

5-0 out of 5 stars Real Duke Fans Should See This If They Haven't
If you like John Wayne but you've watched all the really good ones over and over there are a couple that you may not have seen that are worth taking a little trouble to get. This is one of them.I have no idea why it's not better known, probably because for some reason it hasn't been shown on tv three times a year for the last thirty years.I saw this as an adult about seven years ago and thought it was very, very good.
5-0 out of 5 stars Another Blockbuster Production from Samuel Bronston
Samuel Bronston producer of epic productions such as "El Cid" and "55 Days at Peking" turns to the circus for his setting of "Circus World." John Wayne plays Matt Masters who brings his exciting Wild West show to three rings under the Big Top across Europe. Veteran director Henry Hathaway applies his reputation for atmosphere and characterizations to make this more than just another formula movie. Dimitri Tiomkin's score lends just the right touch of melancholy often associated the circus. The ship disaster and the climatic fire sequences are truly spectacular. The film also features Rita Hayworth, Claudia Cardinale, Lloyd Nolan, John Smith and Richard Conte. This was originally filmed in single lens Cinerama Super Technirama 70.

5-0 out of 5 stars I really loved it !!!
I remember seeing circus world when I was a kid! I really enjoyed seeing it again. John Wayne is one of my all time favorites. He played in alot of westerns and military movies, it was great to see him play in somethingdifferent. If you have kids it's a great circus movie to show them and theywill remember it like I did. I highly recommend this movie to all ages. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Funny, Slapstick Western Pays Homage to Original TV SeriesAnd Then Some....
Richard Donner's "Maverick" probably deserves ample recognition as among the funniest westerns ever made since Mel Brooks's "Blazin' Saddles". Based on the atypical 1960s television western starring James Garner, Mel Gibson does a great job taking over from Garner as the suave, debonair gambler Brett Maverick, en route to the World Series of Poker in Saint Louis, Missouri. He joins forces witha younger, ambitious gambler Annabelle Bransford (Jodie Foster), who is as sly as a fox, older U. S. marshal Zane Cooper (James Garner) and a sympathetic Indian pal (Graham Greene). Both Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster are hysterically funny, giving us two of their finest portrayals in their long cinematic careers. Along the way they have to contend with a devious gambler (Alfred Molina) and a whole colorful assortment of other ill-mannered Wild West bad guys (Many of these are portrayed by some legendary actors from the great Hollywood westerns, like James Coburn and Denver Pyle.). Donner does a fine job directing his cast, which apparently had a lot of fun making this film since the chemistry amongst Gibson, Foster and Garner is absolutely superb.

4-0 out of 5 stars no title
From the director of "Lethal Weapon" and "Superman" and it shows.Really enjoyed this film.Spectacular shots of the West - shot in Yosemite.Mel Gibson is looking old - like early 40s - but his blue eyes and long lashes are still something. He's too comic here, as he has been of late.I much preferred him in "Mrs. Soffell" and "Hamlet".And James Garner was perfect - all cool to Gibson's manic energy. And tons and tons of cameos, from Danny Glover, to Doug McClure, to Robert Fuller. But Gibson was not as smooth as Garner in the original "Maverick", nor in fact did he seem to have the same confidence in himself. The movie was entertaining but gimmicky, from the borrowings from "Lethal Weapon" and "Raiders" to Graham Greene's wisecracking Indian. It was just a little too precious.Gibson should go back to serious stuff. (And look what he does now!) I must admit the ending caught me.I had not a clue. But as a fun movie, it definitely works.James Coburn must be mentioned. He looked great, sounded great, was great. How old is he anyway?Mel Gibson should age so well. And a beautiful old steamboat.Plot was all about poker and money, what else?

5-0 out of 5 stars Why McQueen Was A Star
Nevada Smith was made at the heights of McQueen's short, but terrific career. This film, along with Love With The Proper Stranger, The Thomas Crown Affair, The Cincinnati Kid and Bullitt, proves just why McQueen was a star.
4-0 out of 5 stars A very good western and great entertainment
I love this movie for it's "revenge" story line, the good action, terrific acting, and beautiful scenery. I've actually been to many of the exact locations where the movie was filmed (Eastern slopes of the Sierra Nevada range in CA), which gives me some nostalgic memories whenever I watch the movie.
4-0 out of 5 stars Choose to live over vengeance.
A favorite Steve McQueen vehicle, the sprawling western that stretches a bit too far. To me, this was just a hip take on the western melodramas of the 50's. In the early scenes, McQueen could have helped cedibility a great bit by letting another actor play himself as an adolescent. I believe this was an early Harold Robbins novel and toned down into the lengthy story. As McQueen's character moves across the land in hunt of those responsible for killing his family, there are wonderful life-changing moments. Brian Keith's gun lore and rapport with McQueen is worth the whole viewing. Another mini-scene within this adventure is with the under-utilized, Suzanne Pleshette, in the swamplands of Louisiana. Love nearly conquered, slowing the story until McQueen catches up with Karl Malden and his thugs. Malden is strong in his scenes, but there is too much horseplay at the end that makes the revenge a bit silly and wrong-headed, since any red-blooded man would have run off with Pleshette anyway. Right when you want McQueen to kill the thugs, there's some nonsense with a Mission priest that slows the finish even more. Cut-up and shown on TV, it was a tighter, more fluid story. Like Malden's "Left-handed Gun," the film is uneven and crawls in spots. We forgive this movie when the sum of the mini-scenes do not add up to a successful whole, for the fact that an editor did not do what was best. I don't even remember what revenge McQueen's character had at the end. 30 years later I watch the movie to see Pleshette, Keith and McQueen do what casts of 10 or so on TV sitcoms can never approach.Kudos for casting, thumbs down for pacing. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars The western (almost) starts here
It's refreshing to see this well-loved, simple classic in such good condition. The VHS print is excellent, the film itself is only slightly dated, and the actors don't ham too much (Ernest Torrence and J Warren Kerrigan are stand-outs). The direction by James Cruze is solid. His use of close-ups is sparing, but effective. The storyline began to wander a bit after the wagon-train had crossed the Platte, but the final 10 minutes puts things to right again. 5-0 out of 5 stars Early Silent Western Was The TITANIC OfIts Day.
THE COVERED WAGON was based on the novel of the same name by the now forgotten writer Emerson Hough and recounts the 1848 trek of a wagon train from Kansas City to Oregon. It remains a landmark film in many ways. Originally planned as just another Western programmer, it was expanded by director James Cruze into the TITANIC of its day. Cruze, the son of Mormon parents, grew up in Utah and could still remember the Old West as it really was. He saw this film as the opportunity for him to advance beyond the programmers and Fatty Arbuckle features that he had been doing at Paramount up until then. He demanded total authenticity which included not only the original locations, but also a cast of 3000 (including real Native Americans) and over a hundred genuine Conestoga wagons. Despite the enormous expense and the prolonged shooting schedule, the film was one of the biggest successes of the Silent Era and Cruze was on his way to becoming one of the top directors of the 1920's (another of his epic films OLD IRONSIDES is also available on video). The acting is restrained by the standards of the time which helps the film to play well with modern audiences. J.Warren Kerrigan and Lois Wilson are fine as the lovers but the film belongs to character actors Alan Hale Sr.(the father of GILLIGAN'S ISLAND's Skipper), Tully Marshall, and Ernest Torrence. Watching the film is like having history come to life before your eyes. The print used for the video is of high quality with a colorful score by Gaylord Carter, one of the last great practitioners of silent film organ playing. Many thanks to Paramount for making this landmark epic along with several other silents available for home viewing and at a reasonable price too.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great classical forerunner of all that came after.
Considering the era of films and the yet unexplored technology of the firm industry, The Covered Wagon remains a classic unto itself. This film is the granddaddy of all the great western epics yet to be filmed.I mustalso mention that the star, J. Warren Kerrigan is my third cousin, and Ihave spent my lifetime trying to discover if The Covered Wagon was on videoor if the film still existed.Casually strolling through your website, noteven thinking about this great film, I was in shock when the title poppedup on my computer screen.I must say I became quite emotional.Thank youamazon.com. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Flat and Uninteresting a/k/a "Boring"
Although there are a lot of familiar "television" names associated with "A Man Called Sledge", there is nothing extraordinary about the film itself or about any of the performances. In fact, the only thing that distinguishes it from a 1960's-70's television series like "The Rat Patrol" is a bigger cast and a lot more violence.
3-0 out of 5 stars The curse of other men's gold
There's a cache of gold stored in that there prison, and notorious outlaw Luther Sledge wants it.The trouble is - how do you rob a gold wagon when it's either locked up in a state prison or is being escorted by forty professionally trained sharpshooters?James Garner plays the title character in A MAN CALLED SLEDGE, a kind of good spaghetti western/big heist hybrid that was written and co-directed by actor Vic Morrow.
4-0 out of 5 stars Late Spaghetti western
A Man Called Sledge stars James Garner as Luther Sledge, an outlaw who attempts to lead his gang in a robbery of an enormous gold shipment guarded by a Gatling gun and a cavalry company.Claude Akins, Dennis Weaver, and John Marley as gang members with other recognizable faces from other spaghetti westerns. Not one of the best westerns made in Italy, but very entertaining.Very pessimistic ending. An excellent musical score( as is typical with spaghetti westerns although it isn't Ennio Morricone).Garner is very good as the lead role, a part similar to his role in Hour of the Gun as Wyatt Earp.Well worth the price! ... Editorial Review

It was the last roundup for Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe, who gave their final performances in this melancholy modern Western. Arthur Miller wrote the script (some say overwrote) as a contemplation of his then-wife, Monroe, and set the piece in the half-world of Reno, Nevada. The dangers of this kind of meta-fictional approach are not entirely avoided, but the clean, clear-eyed direction of John Huston keeps the film grounded. And then there are the people: Gable a warrior past his time, Monroe overwhelmed by the world and its attentions, Montgomery Clift visibly broken in pieces, Eli Wallach a postwar neurotic. If the encroaching mortality of Gable, Monroe, and Clift weren't enough, the stark photography and Alex North's score confirm this as a film about loss. It may have its problems, but seen at a distance of many years, Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Life at the End of the Trail
The film opens with a broken-down car (is the dead battery symbolism?). A young woman is rehearsing her testimony for her divorce in Reno. We see another woman leaving by train. A mechanic makes plans with an older man to go into the wild and capture horses. The invite the woman to go with them. [It is a slow starting film.] The dialogue brings out the personality of each character. The group starts out with a drink of whiskey (more symbolism?) "You can't change things" seems to be their working philosophy (see the title). So they have another drink of whiskey.
4-0 out of 5 stars Brutal but satisfying drama
Gable and Monroe save their best performances for last in this heartbreaking, often brutal drama expertly written by Arthur Miller and directed by John Huston.Thelma Ritter and Eli Wallach should be duly noted for their stunning supportive perfomances and Montgomery Clift delivers another pitch-perfect turn, this time as Percy the rodeo rider.
5-0 out of 5 stars Hollywood's last Hurrah!
I love this movie. And I never say I love a movie or movie star or song, etc. you get the picture. The cast in this picture is gone forever. How the director ever got these stars together for one picture still amazes me. And it's not a great story, but, in a way it mirrors the actors real lives at that particular point in time. This cast, the likes of which you'll never see again, is what makes this movie unique.I don't know if future generations of movie goers will ever appreciate the specialness of these actors, I always wondered if Clark and Marilyn could feel that this was the last movie they would ever make? You'll never see the likes to them again.Enjoy! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Scared men make mistakes
THE RIDE BACK opens with a couple of young boys playing marshal and bad guy on the sleepy streets of a small western town. One is play captured and led away at wooden gunpoint when a real gunshot is heard and Anthony Quinn storms out a barbershop, his face still covered with shaving cream, his gun still smoking.Cue Eddie Albert - yes, that Green Acres' Eddie Albert - to sing the title song, "The Ride Back."Roberto "Bob" Kallen (Quinn) flees, presumably over the border into Mexico, and the audience next joins up with Sheriff Chris Hamish (William Conrad), extradition papers in hand, soon to be on the trail south to bring Kallen back north to face trial for the killing.

Anthony Quinn and William Conrad (of Cannon television show fame and the voice of Matt Dillon on the Gunsmoke Radio program) star in this overlooked western about a Texas border town marshal who goes to Mexico looking for accused killer Anthony Quinn, who has taken up with a woman and endeared himself to the citizens of the little village where he lives.

Here's something you don't see every day. Then again, would you want to? Several years before the 1950s' Davy Crockett craze, John Wayne donned a coonskin cap to play a militiaman in early-19th-century Alabama. He and his fellow Kentuckians are just passing through--"marching 600 miles," as they merrily sing (and sing, and sing), because riverboat magnate John Howard has refused to haul them. Howard and all-purpose scoundrel Grant Withers are scheming to dispossess a community of French émigrés--veterans of Napoleon's Grand Army who've come seeking life, liberty, etc. in the New World. Howard's also out to marry Vera Ralston, the French general's daughter. Naturally, Wayne's just the lad to gum up both plans.Read more

"The John Wayne Collection, Vol. 2" offers three Republic features over a nine-year span, during Duke's rise to major stardom, in the 1940s. While none could be called 'classic', each film is exciting, funny, and eminently watchable...and at a very reasonable price, to boot!
4-0 out of 5 stars John Wayne meets Oliver Hardy
For the first and only time, John Wayne appeared in a film with Oliver Hardy of Laurel and Hardy fame, in the 1949 Republic production "The Fighting Kentuckian."Laurel and Hardy had actually made their final American film, "The Bullfighters," and were "at liberty."By this time the comic team was frequently touring Europe and making live stage appearances, where they presented some new comic routines that were, unfortunately, never filmed. They would eventually make one more film, in France: "Utopia," also known as "Atoll K."
5-0 out of 5 stars A CLASSIC FILM TO CHERISH FOR THE AGES!
This classic film that was written and directed by George Waggner is an old fashioned "GOOD STORY" told and pictured in a manner of story telling that has become a "LOST ART!" Most film makers today rely on spectacular special effects and few if any will use the black and white format for conveying their story any more, even when black and white works best! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Ann Margaret Gets What Ann Margaret Wants
I must admit that Ann Margaret has always been a favorite of mine. That probably, make that certainly, affects my judgment of this film. It is not one of John Wayne's best. I still like it. Only part of that is because I like Ann Margaret.
2-0 out of 5 stars One of the worst of Wayne's
Although it is great to see Wayne seeing him is about the best in this film. I did not really care about these people riding left and right. It has to be something about the story, because the actors are a great bunch of people. I expect Wayne always to be real hero, but here it is not so. Take any other Wayne, even those of the 30's rather than this one.

4-0 out of 5 stars Underrated western
I would considered Train Robbers to be one of John Wayne's underrated western movies he have made during his post True Grit era. While its not as good as some of his earlier ones, it probably the best one he made between True Grit and the Shootist (next to Rio Lobo). The Train Robbers seem to be a throw back to John Wayne's older westerns. The story developed slowly but with a purpose as the characters get ironed out. Ann-Margaret plays widow trying to restored family honor by getting the half million dollars worth of gold back to the train company from which her husband stole it from. John Wayne and his gang tries to helped but the usual bad guys, the late husband's gang gets into the way. Its an adventure all the way.

Editorial Review

Movies about the movies are a particularly rich vein, especially in comedies. No one understands just how ridiculous Hollywood is like the people who work there. This film is an affectionate behind-the-scenes story about a bumpkin (Jeff Bridges) who moves to Hollywood in the 1930s with visions of a career penning the kind of Westerns he loves to watch, especially the ones starring his favorite Western star (Andy Griffith). Instead, through a series of mishaps, he becomes an actor himself--and a pretty bad one at that--starring in B Westerns (and becoming a rival to Griffith, who turns out to be a particularly nasty piece of work, in a bit of casting against type). Alan Arkin and Blythe Danner join in the fun in this good-natured and amusing spoof. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Wall of the Rio Cafe
What a pleasant surprise!Caught this little gem by lucky accident.
5-0 out of 5 stars Very nice
I only saw some of this movie but i think it is very funny. Jeff bridges can act very good. and andy griffith plays a very good meanie. i remeber the last scent when griffith saves the day. i think it is funny movie

5-0 out of 5 stars Genuinely sweet, genuinely funny, and urbane cowpokes too
This film is full of scoundrels and opportunists and still manages to make life seem delicious. Long before Gwenyth Paltrow was famous her mother, Blythe Danner, was known by aficionados as someone that picked superb material. She's here as The Girl, savvy but still sweet enough to fall for the truly endearing and monumentally naive Jeff Bridges.Alan Arkin does a sublime high strung director of 1920s cowboy movies, and you won't believe what Andy Griffith can do.See it and feel great not in a sappy way:a truly grown up delight. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Movie!
Support Your Local Sheriff is one of those great comedic efforts written back when the viewing public was intelligent enough to "get it".The characters and the writing is first rate. Casting should have won an Oscar! Humour from beginning to end with subtle and obvious one liners throughout.
4-0 out of 5 stars An affectionate, wry Western spoof, with fine jobs by all the players
Jack Elam, with his one askew eye, was a guy who could watch two tennis matches at the same time without moving his head. As Jake, he's one of the reasons Support Your Local Sheriff! is as funny a Western spoof as it is. The other reasons include James Garner as Jason McCullough, Walter Brennan as Pa Danby, Joan Hackett as Prudy Perkins, Harry Morgan as Mayor Olly Perkins and Bruce Dern as Joe Danby.
5-0 out of 5 stars An Excellent Western Comedy
James Garner always does a great job in playing acerbic comic roles and his role in this one is no exception. He plays a man who is hired as sheriff in a gold rush boom town and who takes the job seriously enough to clean the place up. He does so with wit and charm and the bad guys never no what hit them.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Errol Flynn Film
Errol Flynn is one of a kind. He pulled this Western adventure off with style and little effort. The film looks at how position and power can change our best intentions. A good film in all.

4-0 out of 5 stars Morality and secular power
The previous opinions are similar to my own opinion , except I'll add that Ann Sheridan looks great in men's tight riding pants and tall boots. She has a fantastic alluring figure. Both Errol and Ann do strong confrontational roles.

3-0 out of 5 stars Flynn's Disillusionment
Errol Flynn stars as an unfairly disgraced Union officer who decides to look out for number one in post-Civil War America. He quickly builds a financial empire, methodically taking over Silver City, a town dependant on its silver mines.Of course, a lot of people have to pay for his ambition and ruthlessness, and in the end, so must he.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars "There was a time I didn't know where my next husband was coming from."
Lady Lou (Mae West) is the diamond covered singer kept by shady saloon owner Gus Jordan (Noah Beery). Lou's boudoir--her lair full of imported French furniture--is where she hosts an ever-rotating line of men. There's Flynn (David Landau)--who's so crazy about Lou, he's ready to do whatever it takes to get her away from Gus, Serge Stanieff (Gilbert Roland)--a man who's prepared to steal diamonds to impress Lou, and convict Chick Clark (Owen Moore)--who's naive enough to imagine that Lou will wait for him while he's in jail. But apart from all these competing rivals, there's also Captain Cummings (Cary Grant) the crusading do-gooder director of the mission next door to the saloon.
5-0 out of 5 stars Mae bustin' out all over.
Who hasn't heard of Mae West? Even those of you who haven't, you must of heard some of her witty "West-isms".
3-0 out of 5 stars Mae West at her Best
If the rest of the cast was as good as Mae West in "She Done Him Wrong" this would have been one heck of a film. She has plenty of great lines and she delivers them as only she can do.Let's face it, we probably wouldn't be watching this film in the first place if it wasn't for her.I don't mean to short change Cary Grant who had the leading male role in one of his early pictures.I also noticed Gilbert Roland in one of his early roles. However, every one was pretty much in a supporting role to Ms. West. The movie certainly could have added at least 15 minutes more of character development to keep the plot from lurching so quickly to its' finish. The relationship between Mae West and Cary Grant happened quicker than a Tijuana divorce.I know that the point was to underscore how alluring Ms. West is but this relationship evolved too quick for any credibility. As an overall movie, "She Done Him Wrong" merits no more than a "3" on the Amazon.com scale.Mae West enthusiasts may be excused, however, if they rate it a "5" based on her preformance ...
