It's a good dvd, and there are no comercials or and mess ups skippings. It all depends on what it looks like on the dvd cover and the description the seller tells you about. But just be carefull, and its really cheap, the one I bought was only $10.00 dollars. So there ya go, not only a cure for Wolfman was found buta cure for the monster lovers in your lives. I just want to warn you, thou, if you get it off Ebay, you will have the movie on dvd, but don't expect any special features, its just the movie, it'clear and its good as new but its better then nuthen. 4-0 out of 5 stars it's the first one.what do you expect?
I enjoyed this movie immensely. But, like "The Phantom Menace," I've had a very hard time viewing it objectively. There was so much anticipation leading up to its release, I simply enjoyed the experience of being there. Having read all four books in the series a few times each, I am overly familiar with the events in the story. As I watched the movie, my continuing thought was "How well will the next part of the story be translated to the screen?" rather than "How entertaining is this film overall?" I have trouble answering the latter question because I was already entertained by watching a wonderful story dramatized, so I'll never know how I'd have reacted had I seen this movie without having read the books.

this movie was awesome. columbus starts the move sirius brilliantly, it was just awesome. it stuck to the book so well. i think ive watched it a hundred times. its just so great

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing film that gets you hooked from the first minute it begins
Wands at the ready! Daniel Radcliffe takes up the role of mysterious boy wizard Harry Potter from J.K. Rowling's epic seven part fantasy series. Fans of all ages have been going crazy ever since they heard that Rowling's popular series was going to be transfigured, so to speak, into a film to be showed on movie screens around the world. Yet what makes this movie so unique is that it was not derived from a modern video game or television series, that the younger generation seems to enjoy, but from an ancient form of entertainment. A book! Just what is the magic that is held within those pages, that seemed to have hooked readers into its compelling storyline around the world?

3-0 out of 5 stars NOT A CLASSIC BUT GOOD
Street salesman Daffy Duck inherits a million dollars from the estate of J.B. Cubish, then sets up a ghost-busting service with pals Bugs Bunny and Porky Pig for the purposes of destroying Cubish's ghost. This is basically some new animation which frames several other older Warner Brothers shorts:
3-0 out of 5 stars Interesting Movie
In case anyone didnt know, this is an animated film made in the late 80s.Daffy Duck inherets money from his rich uncle and starts a ghost hunting company with Bugs and Porky.Although Daffy is the star, all the classic WB characters apear in this film. This is a pretty good movie, as it combines a bunch of classic Warner Bros cartoons together into one story with new animation. The new footage is nicely animated, although the difference between it and the old cartoons are quite noticable. However, the writers do a good job of making tons of old cartoons flow together as one story.5-0 out of 5 stars Finest Animated Film of All Time!!!!
This is not only the best Loony Toons film, but quite possibly the best animated film of all time!!! I remember when this movie first came out in 1988, I rented it CONSTANTLY until my parents finally bought it for me. I have gone through several copies and am waiting for my latest copy to arrive in the mail. This is THE BEST movie ever!!! It is hilarious and GREAT for halloween coming up!! Buy this movie! 4-0 out of 5 stars Some of Scooby's Finest Work!
I will begin by saying a whole box of Scooby snakcs for Shaggy, Scooby Doo, and Scooby Dum! That's how good this tape is. The 1st episode has the luxury of being based on a classic horror. Like good horror, it starts normal, but there are incidents on the sooner side. There is some wonderful chemistry between Velmah, Scooby Doo, Scooby Dum, and Shaggy. Shaggy's comical and famous lines from his fear are there: "I'll remember this Halloween for the rest of my life....That is...if I have a rest of my life." The scene with Scooby Doo, Shaggy, and Scooby Dum and the 'Headless Horseman' is hilarious: "This head hasn't worker right since the day I got it.Mr. Headless Horseman, you'd be very unhappy with this head." The mislead is well placed, as well as the 'bad guy's' slips. There is also a good alternation between normal scenes and creepy scenes. Some other good humor is Shaggy's possible useful clue: "Aliens land at convention. The headless horseman is from outerspace." Finally, the solution and motive is on the plausible side. As good as this 1st episode is, the 2nd follows it quite well. It starts normal enough, but an eerie presence is there. The misleads are well done. We are also given time to wonder what the 'bad guy's' motives are. We are made nervous around innocent characters while we are relaxed around potentially dangerous characters. The chases are suspenseful as well as comical. And ofcourse Shaggy's one liners are there: "I gave at the blood bank." The solution is plausible and a little stronger than other episodes. Rather than just saying to ourselves: "The bad guy is found out and going to jail," we should at times feel a little upset when we discover who the villain is. True horror exists when not from a stranger wearing a mask, but being betrayed by someone we really we felt we could trust. Since vampires are in this episode (in a way) I can use this example. The Gary Oldman "Dracula" tries (AND FAILS) to be scary by making him a grotesque monster. The Frank Langella "Dracula" tries and (SUCCEEDS) to be scary by making him very human. REALITY CHECK! The more human and plausible something is, the more scary it is. This is one of Scooby's best tapes. Don't miss it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Most favorite episode
This has to be the BEST Scooby episode ever made. The writing is superb. You feel like you are actually there experiencing the fear along with Shaggy and Scooby.5-0 out of 5 stars This is the best episode of Scooby Doo ever made.

4-0 out of 5 stars A GOOD FAMILY HORROR
Welcome to Dead House is a pretty good family horror edition of Goose Bumps with some genuine, but not too intense scares for young one.A family of four moves into an old house in a town called Dark Falls. The name Dark Falls is appropriate as it always seems to be dark in the town.Even when the sun is out, the large, overgrown trees seem to always block it out.Josh and Amanda are the two kids that immediately have bad feelings about the town. They meet up with some other kids in town who act very strange and are very pale.
3-0 out of 5 stars Welcome to dead house
The movie was okay, but the pacing was a little slow. I was actually waiting for the movie to be over. At the end when all of the dead people were in the house, they sound really stupid. But, otherwise, it was a good movie.

4-0 out of 5 stars The ghost is real, not a masked person...
Ok, from someone who partakes in _NO_ religion at all...so there!
4-0 out of 5 stars Caution Advised, But Still Great!
This 2nd chapter takes place almost immediately after "Zombie Island" concludes. While I don't consider this 2nd chapter quite as good as "Zombie Island," this 2nd chapter nails down the formula for a good sequel. It brings back enough familiar elements (the gang), but it offers a different adventure. While this 2nd chapter is not quite as intense as "Zombie Island," it would probably still be a good idea for parents to screen it before they give it to their children. Scooby and the gang solve a mystery (at least in part) at a museum and meet the writer Ben Ravencroft. He invites the gang to visit his 'quiet' home in Massachusetts. For an animated movie, the scenery is actually quite impressive. Well, Ben and the gang discover that the town is anything but quiet due to the publicity over the possible presence of a witch's ghost. (The Mayor and the T Shirt guy bear a striking resemblance to Boss Hogg and Sheriff Roscoe.) Naturally, our favorite gang gets curious but Scooby and Shaggy are more interested in food. (Big surprise.) There is a hilarious scene where they go to a restaurant that is too good even for them. Well, Ben and our gang meet the Hex Girls who play good music and at the same time draw some suspicion. This is a difficult movie not to ruin, but I'll try. The misleads make sense upon discovery, and just when we think the movie is over, we find out that the real horror is yet to come. Though it doesn't quite pack the punch of "Zombie Island," the climax is really well done and surprisingly scarey. Again, this movie may be a little too much for young children, but older children and even some adults are bound to enjoy this.

1-0 out of 5 stars Bad movie for young kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mr. Timothy Lee-you should be ashamed to let your 4 year old watch this movie over and over. This movie crosses many lines of cartoon and horror flick.Compared to the other Scooby movies, this is more graphic and not quite so much fun.It is fine for teens and up, but get real. This shouldn't be a movie called a 'family' movie, and you should be doing the responsible thing and knowing what is OK and what isn't for young children to watch.Your 4 year old relies on you to be his parent-so be one!

5-0 out of 5 stars Scooby's Ultimate Movie, But Beware.
For some time Scooby Doo was all but retired and made a brief comeback with "Laughalympics." In 1998, the original Scooby Doo gang would reunite to make this phenomenal movie. But do beware. PG 13 would probably be a more appropriate rating for this movie. It goes to levels Scooby Doo never before went. And while well done, it would probably be a good idea for parents to screen it first and then decide if it is appropriate for children. Well, that said, this Scooby movie is quite arguably Scooby's greatest movie. To make sense of Scooby's long retirement, there is a flashback with Scooby and the gang solving yet another mystery. Some time passes, and the gang has went their seperate ways. Daphne and Fred have a television show and decide they want to see some real ghosts. Except for Fred, the voice casting is different. But they did a good job of finding voices that at least resembled the original voices. (If it's any comfort, the original voice cast would eventually reunite for the 5th and 6th movies.) Moving on, the gang does get back together, and they head towards New Orleans in hopes of seeing some real ghosts. (2 of the 5 parties are of course reluctant. Guess which 2.) Down in Louisiana, they find some more cases of just 'bad guys in masks.' Later they meet Lena who flirts with Fred and offers to show them her employer's (Simone's) haunted house. They also meet Jaques who seems nice enough and the gardener who does not seem so nice. After Scooby fights with Simone's cats, Simone is understandably annoyed, but she agrees to let the gang in. Soon afterwards, we see some things that appear to indicate the presence of ghosts, but as any Scooby fan knows, there might be a rational explanation, and if so, what is the motive? Scooby and Shaggy offer some comical moments with their too healthy appetities. Soon afterwards, clues start appearing that would make us suspect that some real ghosts are involved, but there is some room for doubt. One thing about this Scooby movie is that the expansion from 30 minutes to 90 or so is a good one. It gives us time to remeet the gang, and time to wonder if the ghosts are real or not, and enjoy some welcome suspense as well. Of all Scooby's adventures, this is one of the LEAST contrived and predictable. Another thing you will notice in this Scooby movie is a surprisingly intense soundtrack. (And I had NO problem whatsoever with that!) In a typical Scooby fashion, the gang gets separated and the horror unfolds. This is one ending I won't give away. But I will say true horror unfolds as we find that surprises shock us for a moment, but then make sense upon discovery. The explosion of misleads enables us to say: "Oh! No wonder!" In all honesty, this movie is more frightening than a lot of so called horror on the market. And perhaps the most frightening moment in this movie is when the 'villain' explains the events that preceeded that of the movie. Good writers seem to know that recognition is often the most horror filled aspect of a story. Again, I consider this a strong contender for Scooby's greatest movie, but do be warned. It may very well be too much for young children.

1-0 out of 5 stars ALERT!!!!!!!! this isn't for young children!!!!
this is not a movie for kids! it has real monsters (i know the box tells you that but the art of the film is very grapic and the story is very much ment for adults) so be sure you watch this movie before you show it to kids.

5-0 out of 5 stars How About Also Doing Complete DVD box sets?
I love the Scooby Doo, Where Are You?, and the Scooby Doo Show cartoons and Mystery Mask Mixup is one of the best from Scooby Doo, Where Are You?, It's great that it's on video and they even have a couple of classic Scooby episodes on DVD but it would be great if they included all of the classic episodes in order in a series of videos and DVD's individually and even in complete DVD box sets which is what I would like and I don't care that some people will think that wanting to own every classic Scooby episode is silly and a waste of money because their shown on TV all the time, I would love to be able to have every episode on DVD's and to be able to watch them at my convenience and if they do put every Scooby episode on DVD's I hope my mom will let me buy them with money I have saved.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the funnier episodes!
Actually, this episode takes place in San Francisco! It's by far one of the funniest episodes I've ever seen. The chase scene through down town San Francisco takes the Mystery Machine rambling through a hotel room and ends at the famous Fisherman's Wharf.3-0 out of 5 stars Better Scooby Exists, But This Is Still Good.
Actually, I give this video 3 1/2 stars. I have seen better episodes, but this tape is certainly worth adding to your collection. The first episode takes place in China. We don't see the gang too often in China. It starts normal enough with Daphne buying a mask. Later, some strange things happen, and the kidnapping of Daphne creates some suspense. We get to hear the famous whimpering of Scooby and Shaggy. Ofcourse, Scooby and Shaggy accidentally find the criminals. Shaggy's hilarious one liners are there: 'I warn you, I know Judo, Chop Suey, and Chinese Checkers.' Scooby and Shaggy are able to disguise themself quick under pressure. The sassy but reality orientated Velmah offers a memorable line: 'It's up to Shaggy and Scooby? Oh boy are we in trouble.' The second episode is also quite good. As many Scooby episodes do, this start offers a combination of creepy and seemingly normal events. It is interesting that this episode has many scenes that are in the opening and ending credits. We get to see Scooby's desperate attempts to avoid these situations. The abduction of the gang's friend Sharon provides some suspense. The sudden appearance of the bad guy is done in a creepy but entertaining fashion: 'I found a clue. Him.' There is also a great moment between the level headed Fred and the frantic Shaggy. FRED: 'Well, we're not going to let him scare us.' SHAGGY: 'We're not?' In this episode, Shaggy steals Scooby's food for a change. We also get to see Daphne's talent for causing accidents. The villain even offers a funny line: 'You brought the fortune. How fortunate for you.' The funniest part of this episode is when the gang uses the bad guys own props and methods against him. DAPHNE: 'He's running like a ghost is after him.' And the finish shows us Scooby's natural talent for getting to the food first. I grant that there are better Scooby episodes out there, but this tape is well worth buying. ... Read more

Most people probably say this isn't worth your time since it's no where compared to the orginals, however I would so disagree since most of 80's scooby-doo are really hard to find. The fact that it lacks the possible charms of a good mystery solving then unlike the 70's ones however I think it was more focus on the humor to help obtain a younger audience. Anways if you are a good scrappy-doo fan and would recommend you get this one.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good, But Not Essential Scooby
In some ways, this is really bargain basement Scooby Doo. Don't get me wrong. This is an alright video, but I have certainly seen better Scooby tapes. The first episode involvesthe gang along with Scrappy going to a Halloween gathering at a castle. Soon, they realize that these party guests are really monsters. But they are in fact being haunted a ghost who possibly is a danger. I'm not so uptight that I'll deny this is an alright episode. But the plot is not really up to Scooby's usual levels. This episode is just a little too campy, and it lacks the charm we find in the better scooby episodes. (Notably 'Hassle in the Castle,' 'Scooby Doo and A Mummy Too,' 'Foul Play in Funland,' 'Go Away Ghost Ship,' 'A Night of Fright Is No Delight' and a few other episodes.) The second episode involves a tar monster haunting some archeological sights in Turkey. Again, it's a decent story, but it does lack the charm that we find in many other Scooby episodes. I guess my bottom line is that if [dollar amount] is not a big deal to you, you may as well add this video to your Scooby collection. If on the other hand, your budget is on the tighter side, try to borrow this first and then decide if it's worth the [dollar amount].

4-0 out of 5 stars The original Scooby Gang takes on their greatest foe!
This is the only complete episode of Scooby-Doo I have ever seen and its amazing it did not get me hooked on the show.Dracula is the perfect villain for the gang.Kids will like this and they will still like it when they stop being kids.Besides, Drac looks cool in this one. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Fight the snowghost,or board the ghost ship to get this!
Maybe3 1/2 stars is more accurate. There are some better Scooby episodes like "Hassle In The Castle," "The Headless Horseman of Halloween," "A Night of Fright Is No Delight," and "Scooby Doo And A Mummy Too." But all in all, this video tape is worth buying. "That's Snow Ghost" has some plausible but creepy scenery. The snow ghost is mentioned, and we are allowed to think it is pure nonsense. Then the snow ghost's first appearance is both shocking and funny. Velmah gets to carry the whole gang in their panic. Shaggy's one liners are there: "This ski trip has turned into a real scare trip." Scooby has to deal with being suddenly separated from Shaggy and Velmah, and he gets to be Velmah's hero at a crucial moment. The recluse is an interesting guest star, and the flashback is not only well done, but it connects to the present quite well. You'll probably know who the Snow Ghost is on the faster side, but remember, they only have a half an hour to tell a story. Granted: Other Scooby episodes have stronger misleads, but this is still a good episode. "Go Away Ghost Ship" is also a really good episode. We have some nice spooky scenery that is still plausible. The mislead is fairly well done. Scooby steals Shaggy's food. The scenery of the ghost ship is surprisingly well done. Velmah and Daphne make an attempt at some one liners: VELMAH "Maybe they're haunting for a new house." DAPHNE "Or out with some old goul friends." Shaggy and Scooby get into serious trouble, and their attempt to buy time by making pirate ghost stew is well done. (Chances are you won't forget the ingredients they used.) Shaggy comes back with some hilarious moments, especially when his attempt at the password is what works. (I don't want to spoil that funny moment for you.) But it displays clever humor. On one hand, we know Shaggy would have probably used that password; but on the other hand, we know the pirates would never have used that as a password, and that's what makes it funny. I don't want to spoil the ending, but I will say Shaggy and Scooby (after sharing some Scooby snacks for energy) show just how capable they are when they're not running in fright. The ending is plausible which gives it an edge. All in all, I think better Scooby exists, but no Scooby fan should be without this tape.

Love the classic monsters Frankenstein, the Mummy, Dr. Jekyll, the Creature, Dracula, the Werewolf, and the Invisible Man? They're all here in this animated, 90-minute video--and so are the vocal talents of Boris Karloff and Phyllis Diller. After discovering the secret of destruction, Baron von Frankenstein is retiring as head of the World Wide Organization of Monsters. He's handpicked his mortal nephew Felix to be his successor, and his fellow monsters are less than pleased. Even though Felix politely declines to carry on this family tradition, the monsters band together and double-cross one another in comic attempts to expel Felix from the group.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Mad, I tell you!!!
Despite the presence of Harvey Kurtzman and Jack Davis from the original Mad, this picture isn't quite the clay-animated Mad movie one could have hoped for.

5-0 out of 5 stars Interesting version...
This is another version of the "Legend of Sleepy Hollow", or the Headless Horseman, based on a short story from Washington Irving that was published in his book "the Sketch Book. Rabbit Ears is a production company that used to produce audio stories in the 1980's for the radio, using famous actors to do naration. They were high quality productions, featuring classic stories, and folk tales. In addition, they went to great lengths to locate just the right composers and music artists to fit each tale.
5-0 out of 5 stars Simply, SLEEPY HOLLOW at it's element!
Glenn Close does a FLAWLESS narration of Irving's classic spooky tale! Truly, Rabbit Ears brings the actual story to it's full glory with stunningimages, music, and timeless storytelling. I have watched this videoannually every October. Perfect for a windy Fall evening or a Halloweenparty! Woderful, I can't say enough about it! So enchanting, you will bedrawn as much into the story as your kids!

4-0 out of 5 stars Archie: The Supernatural Remix
Archie and the Riverdale Vampires is composed of 4 episodes from the 40 episode animated series Archie's Weird Mysteries, which first aired on the PAX network between 1999-2000. Now it's syndicated, and can usually be seen on Saturday afternoons or Sunday mornings.
