One of my favorite Pilates workouts
Ana Caban's P.M. Pilates is designed as an evening Pilates routine to help you wind down and de-stress at the end of the day. It's perfect for this purpose (although a bit too strenuous to be used right before bedtime), but it would also serve well as an energizing routine in the a.m. or almost any time. Ana works out alone against a rocky, oceanside backdrop, and the soundtrack consists of soft, soothing piano music.

A nice full-body workout using the Pilates fitness circle
This is a full-body Pilates workout which incorporates use of the Pilates fitness circle, or bodyring.Instructor Ana Caban works out with a partner, Tara, in a pleasant setting by a pond.The workout begins with approximately 24 minutes of matwork, starting with a few simple stretches and then moving into traditional Pilates moves such as the hundred, the roll-up, and the single leg stretch.For each move, the bodyring is used to enhance the work, either by holding it in-between your feet or squeezing it with your hands to involve the upper body.The second half of the matwork focuses more on the legs and contains a lot of leg press work very similar to Karen Voight's Total Body Toning.The last 10 minutes of the workout are performed seated in a chair.In this segment, Ana uses the ring more for the upper body, but you will also do some additional inner and outer thigh work.Finally, there are some brief stretches, bringing the total workout time in at just under 34 minutes.

A Real Pilates Workout
My schedule makes it difficult to attend Pilates classes regularly so I purchased several DVDs to work out at home.I was looking for a good workout and this is the best one I have found.Each level of exercises, from Basic to Advanced, flows along in real time so I can work out straight through.The Modified Basic level is great for people just starting out and the Super Advanced exercises are challenging!I recommend this DVD or VHS to anyone looking for a real Pilates workout.

Awesome!
I started the Pilates work out hoping to exercise without being dog-tired afterwards, like when I did aerobics.Then I bought this DVD because it looked like a serious Pilates work out, which it is.I use it faithfully four or five mornings a week and feel energized once I finish.My co-workers noticed the difference in the way I walk and the inches I lost off my waist.I started taking the Pilates class at the Y and I was well prepared for that class from working out with this DVD.It is Awesome!

REAL GUYS DO PILATES
I was checking out the exercise video selection at our local B&N, when my boyfriend blurted out that he had wanted to try PILATES.We looked for a good video, but they all seemed to be made for women only.Even though he had heard REAL guys like Danny Glover are into Pilates, those videos seemed silly to him and didn't give the impression that they could deliver the kind of workout he required.We got home and went on-line to see what a wider assortment offered and FORTUNATELY found this one.We knew it was different right away.First of all, there is a GUY on the cover and the INSTRUCTOR is also male.He appreciated that.I liked that it included several workouts on the same tape.SOLD.After just a few weeks of working at different levels, we are now both doing the intermediate and exercising together is FANTASTIC.This is a good tape for anyone no matter what, but what's more, it's exceptional for MEN. ... Leslie does it again!
I was looking for ab work to do after my walk and this set is perfect!I can do the ball workout or the Pilates and then use the yoga for a great stretch.You can tell Leslie is a real woman with a real life, her products help you fit fitness into your life.

Easy, fun and non-intimidating
This series is the easiest method of learning yoga, pilates and ab work with the balance ball.I have thus far only done the Yoga and Pilates, but both are incredibly simple and surprisingly effective.A good way to add variety to your workouts, esp. if you're already doing alot of Leslie's other workout programs.I recommend this series and commend Leslie for doing a service to the fans who love her workouts-a little change here and there challenges the body and keeps the mind motivated and fresh.

The Ultimate Work-out
For the more advanced Pilates student looking for a challenge, I urge you to order the body ring set. I own probably three- quarters of the Pilates videos listed on Amazon. I love the long lean muscles that Pilates builds, and being a former dancer, I appreciate Pilates' focus on the core. My problem; however, is that while Pilates tones and sculpts the lower body, I felt that I needed something more for my upper body. Many months(and much gym equipment later) I found myself wishing for some way to incorporate the grace and fluidity of Pilates with the strengthening work-out of a machine. Also I found that most Pilates videos, even the more advanced ones, were too easy. I needed a way to improve my practice while challenging my body. Enter the bodyring and work-out video. I found Ana Caban to be a lovely instructor, not too chirpy or annoying, but self assured and graceful. I always look at the instructor's body and form as a hint to what the work-out will be like, and Ms. Caban was true to form; long, lean and,focused. Good variation
I already had the Beginner Mat Workout from Gaiam, so I decided to get the body ring one for some variation.I like the resistence that the ring adds.Even the 100 is a lot more difficult when you've got to keep pressure on the bodyring as well.I can never tell, though, what she means by keeping my knee slightly bent, how far is slightly?And what effect am I going for when I do that?It'd be nice to know if I'm using the right muscles.Read more

This unusual 65-minute workout works and lengthens your muscles using yoga, Pilates, and dance conditioning. Trainer Grace Lazenby warms you up with yoga (impossible to view while you're doing it, so watch it first). She then alternates yoga with intense segments of ballet-like muscle conditioning (done barefoot) and Pilates mat work. In a standing lower-body segment you're supposed to use a body bar for balance (you can substitute a chair) and a seven-inch ball held between the knees, and another segment requires light dumbbells. You'll get more out of the difficult abdominal segments if you're already familiar with Pilates. One minor annoyance: the camera sometimes lags in showing the limb you're working. If you're bored by your exercise routine and have some familiarity with yoga and Pilates, this video will work your core muscles and increase your flexibility and muscle endurance. Read more

OUCH, OUCH, OUCH!!!
I am so addicted to this workout, I actually have 2 so I'm going to sell one but I've been doing this workout for the past 2 years and it still hurts when I do it! I've never done a workout that toned me up as fast as this one does. The moves are original and they hurt. You haven't exercises until you've done this one!!
Worth it, but...
An excellent and uniquely interesting workout as described by others, but FYI FitnessOrganica.com sells this new on dvd for $25.

A great fusion workout
I have had this tape for almost one year now and I really enjoy working out to it.It is a challenging blend of yoga, Pilates, dance conditioning (not dancing)and strength training with light hand weights. Pilates Exercises for Osteoporosis
The quality of the tape is poor.The voice of the instructor is monotonous and at times speaks like she is not sure of what she is about to say, like it is hard to get her thoughts in order.I could not watch the whole tape due to the tape quality and the instructor does not provide motivation.It seems like it was a home made tape, due to the quality and setting.

Excellent workout
I bought a number of tapes for osteoporosis and this was the only one I have used.Sherri Betz is an excellent teacher, and as a physical therapist she is very knowledgeable as well.Her voice is melodic and perfect to work out to.I have found the workout just the right speed and length for me and has caused NO injuries.I have osteopenia and am very flexible.I had never done pilates but have really enjoyed doing this tape 4 times a week.I would highly recommend it to anybody.

Very helpful exercise routine
I had been looking for some guidance as to which specific exercises would be best for preventing further deterioration and rebuilding bone.I found this video very helpful in explaining osteoporsis and the rationale for the exercises.The instructions for the workout were clear and I could watch and see exactly what needs to be done.Options were given so that I could accomodate the exercise to my level of fitness and flexibility.The speaker seemed to be medically knowledgable.I have quite a few exercise tapes, some of which are very good and others very bad.I would rate this as among the best and very user friendly. ...
