1-0 out of 5 stars Do yourself a favor: READ THE BOOK PRONTO!
I'd like to say first off I'm twenty years old and relatively new to the Stephen King library, but Stephen King's IT is the longest book I've read at a formidable nine-hundred-fourteen pages in small print.Very in-depth, and very good, possibly the very best I've read.It had everything I think a decent book needs, action, suspense, romance, lust, gratuity, dialogue . . . you get the picture, yes?
2-0 out of 5 stars Looks like a "Murder She Wrote" episode
I know, I know it's from 1990 and was made for tv... but man!!
3-0 out of 5 stars Decent treatment for a creepy TV movie
I'm assuming that you've come here looking for a review on the DVD presentation of the film, right?

5-0 out of 5 stars The story is the best of this movie
Surprising ending, well worked.Even Bruce, as always himself, blend enough with the story to ignore him and pay attention to the story and, of course, the boy, who does a wonderful work. More suspense than terror, meaning you can see the movie before going to bed but... don't share it with your little kids!

5-0 out of 5 stars I'm not one to watch a movie twice...
...but I had to watch this one again, right afterward, because I needed to go back and watch for clues.
5-0 out of 5 stars The Sixth Sense
I didn't see this movie when it came out in the theater.Someone also spoiled the ending for me too.I still really liked this movie. The story, acting and direction were excellent. This is one of Bruce Willis's best movies.Willis and Osment work well together in this movie. I too highly recommend this movie and the dvd.It is worth the money.I would put this movie on my top 10 or 20 movies of all time. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars This movie is well worth watching.
The vicious cycle of events had started in Motaba River Valley in Zaire. In July 1967, a deadly virus, which caused deaths of tens of people in the Mercenary Camp, was discovered by the army. The doctor of the camp wanted supplies to treat the patients. However, the army officials preferred bombing the camp in an attempt to erase the evidence of the virus's existence along with the potential carriers of the virus. Although, they developed the antiserum, "the E-1101," from a blood sample taken before the bombing, they kept it as a secret to be able to use the virus as a biological weapon.
4-0 out of 5 stars Great film
when this movie openned, back in 95; i remember there had been an ebola outbreak in africa, so there was this sense of paranoia about the possibility of it spreading to the U.S., so when i watched this film i was like 12 and it scared me to death, it made me wonder how, then; president Clinton, would've handled it. needless to say i feel much more concerned, today as to how our current president would handle a similar situation. but politics aside, this is a 4-star film with lots of action, suspense, and good acting.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Perfect Murder?....NOT!
This review refers to "Dial M For Murder",DVD,Warner Bros...
4-0 out of 5 stars Some notes about the 3D aspect...
First of all about the movie itself: this is good, if not great, Hitchcock. It's very entertaining if a bit stage bound, and the performances are uniformly fine.
5-0 out of 5 stars Hugely Entertaining and Rewarding Mystery
OK, I'm not a film critic. I do like older movies, especially Hitchcock mysteries and John Wayne Westerns and that makes me decidedly middle-brow. All I can say is that 'Dial M for Murder' is a hugely entertaining mystery that rewards the viewer who pays attention (umm, it is a mystery after all). Several delicious plot twists. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Glorious!
This Bond movie is one of the better ones.Granted Tim Dalton looks like a weasel, but I very much enjoyed it.I think it is extremely underrated by most people. Many forget about it, but it is in my top 5 favorite 007 films of all time, and I've seen all of them.Dalton does a fabulous job portraying Bond.I also enjoyed the character of Q being as involved as he was.Very Very Good!Buy it if you can!

5-0 out of 5 stars The first Bond movie I had ever seen....
......and the Bond movie that got me interested in the Bond series. Just for that reason alone, I would give this movie 5 stars. This is a very underrated movie. If I had just strictly seen the Pierce Brosnan Bond movies like most of my friends, it is doubtful I would have become a Bond fan or at least nearly as big of a Bond fan as I am now. This movie is different. Bond shows some real emotion in this movie. Bond is upset and angry but still doesn't defeat his adversaries through just anger like a lot of other action movie characters. Bond still uses his intellect to defeat his foes. But the way Bond uses his intellect to defeat his foes is different in this movie than in the other Bond movies. Timothy Dalton is awesome. Maybe the Roger Moore fans wouldn't agree with me on that one. But Dalton is the second best Bond ever (behind the legendary Sean Connery of course). But the distance between Connery and Dalton and the rest of the guys who have played Bond is so great (I hope to see where Daniel Craig ranks in there in a couple months). And to the people who criticize this movie because of its low budget-you guys should watch the Special Features of the Licence To Kill DVD. It's very understandable why this movie had to operate on a low budget. Even with the low budget, this movie is still awesome.

5-0 out of 5 stars Better Than Many People Remember
Timothy Dalton's James Bond career lasted all of two movies, and I, for one, think it a shame. The late 1980s Bond was different - sex scenes edited and now implied (this was due to the pending AIDS crisis), Bond more vicious, escapes even more ridiculous than before, and a not-as-handsome (but still good-looking) protagonist, Welsh actor Dalton.

This is a Hilarious movie! The characters are crazy! This film does have adultry and sex talk in it, so young kids should not watch. There are three differant endings, my favorite being the second ending.

4-0 out of 5 stars Murder Case Turned Eerily Kafkaesque
If the words above could be used to describe another Lynch movie - the much applauded "Lost Highway" (1997) whose plot is inspired in part by Kafka's "Die Verwandlung" and the well-known O.J. Simpson-case - they are as much descriptive of his earlier and less critically acclaimed film "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me" (1992).

Neil Simon wrote this 1976 spoof in which virtually every famous fictional detective of the 1930s and 1940s congregate at the home of a mysterious fellow (Truman Capote) to try and solve the mystery of who's trying to kill them all. Simon's jokes are mostly obvious, and the film's real appeal is the clever concept matched with fine--sometimes legendary--actors. Peter Falk plays a very Bogart-like Sam Spade equivalent, James Coco is a Hercule Poirot wannabe, Peter Sellers does a Charlie Chan bit, David Niven and Maggie Smith are reflections of Nick and Nora.... You get the picture. Lighthearted and silly, this is cotton-candy comedy for the cast as well as viewers. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Gets better with every viewing!
With it seems less and less worth watching on television, my wife and I can always count on many a good laugh when watching this outstanding classic.Funny without having to be vulgar, this movie should be in everyones collection.

4-0 out of 5 stars Don't believe anything you see or hear
"Murder by Death" is a delightful and loving tribute/criticism about murder mysteries in the mid-20th century. Bringing together the characters from many famous series--Sam Spade, the Charleses, Miss Marple, Charlie Chan, etc.--and having them played by some of the great actors of the period--Alec Guinness, Peter Sellers, David Niven, Elsa Lancaster, etc.--produced an enjoyable story. The twist after twist after twist amuses right to the end. My only concern is that, once one realizes that nothing is as it seems, a bit of the "suspense" is lost and replaced by waiting for the next layer to be peeled off.

5-0 out of 5 stars Classic Neil Simon!!!!
I have loved this movie from the very first moment I saw it for a number of reasons.Firsta very well-written spoof of murder mysteries with some top-notch jokes and some not so top-notch jokes. But when you look at the whole you are very pleasantly surprised and you will enjoy this project over and over again.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Sequal Ever Made---The Best Movie Ever Made
In my humble opinion, The Godfather Part II outshines all of them. I have seen literally hundreds of movies in my lifetime, and this movie is the cream of the crop. A more than powerful story, wonderful score, brilliant acting by all involved makes for the classic of not only our time, but, for all time. If I could give it more than five stars, I would. Extremely recommended not for just casual watchers of movies, but the movie lover in all of us. A perfect, perfect movie.

3-0 out of 5 stars The Godfather Part II
Pacino was perfect in his role, as Michael continued on the path he mapped out in the first movie. DeNiro was masterful as a young Vito Corleone, a fitting tribute to Brando. But they were revisiting old ground. I didn't see a whole lot here that wasn't in the first movie. They're just doing "that thing they do." I have the third movie, but I don't feel motivated to watch it, and I'm not saying that because the critics panned it. Maybe I'm just gangstered out. Post-Godfather, I've seen THE UNTOUCHABLES as a syndicated TV series and as a Kevin Costner movie, THE SOPRANOS, ANALYZE THIS, ANALYZE THAT...

5-0 out of 5 stars A seamless continuation
It's not often that a sequel does justice to the original, but "Godfather II" is remarkable. It picks up seamlessly and effortlessly where the first film left off. I prefer "The Godfather" over part II, but I think that's because there were actors in the first film (Brando, obviously) not appearing in the second. Part II is a little darker, and not quite as romantic as the original. Nevertheless, it's a truly great film, and highly recommended. It's fascinating to watch Michael Corleone evolve and develop with such misery, trapped by circumstances, betrayed by those he loves. In some ways, the last scene felt a bit tacked-on, but it's very important to understanding his character. Pacino is one of my favorite actors, he is just amazing in his ability to make me forget that he's playing a part.

...kind of a let-down since it's directed by Sam Mendes, responsible for the masterful "American Beauty."
5-0 out of 5 stars Father and Son
If you are a parent, especially if you have at least one son, this movie will really hit home. It's brutal; it's emotional; it's violent; and it's heart warming.
4-0 out of 5 stars Can Michael Sullivan find redemption for his sins through his son?
The bonding that awkwardly begins after a traumatic incident between the far different father Michael Sullivan (Tom Hanks) and Michael Sullivan Jr.(Tyler Hoechlin) makes the story achingly beautiful.

4-0 out of 5 stars One of the best films on chic !
I have to agree with another review , this movie had me thinking when I was a teenager too , I loved audrey hepburn and all the cast in this film , I didnt read the book , maybe I should .
1-0 out of 5 stars Audrey 's worst film!!!
How Sheldon's wonderful novel was turned into such a bad (and very boring) movie is a mystery. Good cast (Hepburn, Mason, Schneider) wasted...Buy the book instead!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Suspenseful, Sexy, Mason/Gazarra Worthy Adverseries
James Mason and Ben Gazarra were still virile and energetic enough to pull it off as two middle-aged adverseries for the eternally charming Audrey Hepburn. Enjoy it for what it is, a straightforward, by-the-numbers suspense thriller with plenty of '70s fashion and atmosphere. The ending, where Hepburn must decide to believe either Mason or Gazarra, is great. Mason's 1978-79 performances in "The Boys from Brazil" and "Salem's Lot" and here made for a notable trifecta of quality acting. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Not very impressive...Jay Mohr as a killer?? Laughable!
The movie "Cherry Falls" is not very good, even for its type. The movie is about a psycho path killing virgins in Cherry Falls, Virginia, but there is more than meets the eye.The sheriff, played by Michael Biehn, harbors a dark secret which may have something to do with these killings. It actually sounds more interesting than it is, but the movie is really lacking in suspense. Also, I thought the acting was pretty bad to be frank, except for Michael Biehn, who did a pretty good job.
1-0 out of 5 stars Cherry Peaks Twin Falls ScreamI Know...wait...what the hell?
This is one of those yet again slasher teen pics gone into the waste disposal. This time its in a town called Cherry Falls, Virginia. A killer is on the loose and apparently killing virgins...hmm killing virgins in Virginia...get it? Anyway, it seems past secrets resurface to haunt the town. When the whole town finds this out..every single teenager in school goes and throws a sex party. This floppy non suspenseful movie proves again slasher movies can be kind of boring after awhile. I totally Saw Jay Mohr (Last Comic Standing, GO) as the killer coming a mile away...it's not hard to pick up the clues and get the character. Also starring Michael Biehn (Tv's Hawaii, Jade), Brittany Murphy (Just Married, Spun), Michael Weston (Wishcraft), Jesse Bradford (Swimfan, Bring It On), DJ Qualls (The New Guy, Road Trip), Candy Clark (Buffy The Vampire Slayer Movie), Gabriel Mann and Keram Malicki-Sanchez (Tv's Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Happy Campers). The beginning was a total Twin Peaks rip off.

3-0 out of 5 stars SOMEONE IS KILLING THE VIRGINS OF CHERRY FALLS, VIRGINIA...
I caught this straight to video movie on the Independent Films Channel. A slasher film with a decent enough cast, Michael Biehn, Brittany Murphy, and Jay Mohr, it is scary, campy, and funny. It has all the makings of a future cult classic.

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing erotic thriller
There are erotic thrillers that succeed in their genre (e.g. Basic Instinct, Jade), but this one felt awkward and contrived. I think its producers were trying to ride on the coat tails of the immensely popular Basic Instinct by attracting some of that audience. I know that's why I and friends went to see it in theatres. But we were disappointed, both in the story and the acting.2-0 out of 5 stars pointless
The villain had no motive to commit his crimes. At least, the director chose not to reveal what it was. This movie was an utter waste of time.Sean Young is pretty, but too thin in this film. She looked far better in "Ace Ventura."

3-0 out of 5 stars The unrated version
This was the review I wrote on "Full Body Massage": "An unreal plot with senseless flashbacks, but Mimi Rogers' bod rules -- no question about it, so don't bother about her acting (or lack thereof)". Well pretty much the same thing applies here. Only Sean Young is younger and slimmer. So make sure you got the unrated version. ... Read more
