5-0 out of 5 stars Omigosh, Sears is having a sale!
This video is flat-out awesome. Those Hanson boys do some crazy things! From the footage of touring around the world ("in Frahnce, haha!"), to clips of them interacting as a family ("We love each other!")it is so much fun to watch. Also, the two music videos (MMMbop and Where's the Love) are excellent. You will not be disappointed with TTAMON.

5-0 out of 5 stars Tulso Tokyo & Middle Of Nowhere
This is a really good, movie/ documentary. It shows concerts, and what they do on their spare time. The are serious and wacky. They go to places like L.A., NY, Australia, Jakarta, France and many more!

5-0 out of 5 stars Freakin awesome :P
This is a great dvd. A must have for ANY hanson fan. There are great performances.Plus, it's so funny! From Ike's "documentary" of redwood trees (Hi, my name is Joe...) lmao, to the end where they all fight, while talking about not fighting.Wow... now I want to go watch it.Unfortunately, I have the VHS, so I'm gonna buy the dvd... the vhs is all messed up from watching it so much.So... funny.... 5-0 out of 5 stars Tear Jerker!!!
Ok, for any fan of the Judds or Wynonna...this video is a MUST!!!Not only does it include about a million of the Judd's greatest hits, but it is a tear jerker!!!You really see the raw emotion that not many stars let themselves show.By the last song I was crying along with Wynonna and Naomi. As a HUGE fan of Wynonna I really recommend this to country music lovers!!Not only will you cry, but you are gaurenteed to laugh at the sense of humor the duo has!I hope they continue to make great music because I LOVE THE JUDD'S. They are the best!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Love those Judds!
This is the Judds at their absolute best.Mother and daughter, sharing the end of a professional union and putting on the show of their lives! This video is both touching as well as entertaining and if you don't end upcrying when they exchange their professional "good-bye" thenyou're not a true "Judds" fan.Excellent viewing... ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Kiss this Perry Farrell!!!
I worked as a record store clerk back in the late 80's and remember we got this video as a promo. It was my first introduction to Jane's Addiction, who by now had a pretty serious buzz surrounding them. It's been a while but I remember what obnoxious poseurs they all came off as.Some of the scenes include one dude being interviewed as he's taking a dump, another beats an eel against the floor. It seemed like they were all trying too hard to shock. On the plus side, the video does include the uncensored version of Mountain Song. For fans only.

5-0 out of 5 stars To be a Teenager Again
This video was like a walk back into highschool and early college. The days of Perry Ferrel in corsets and long green dreds. To watch this is to relive the days when Jane's Addiction was just out of sight of the main stream, and you could still see them in a small theatre that seats 1,000.There's no story line, no sense of reason to what is flashed before you.Just little clips of insight into the insanity that made up Jane's Addiction in the late 1980s.

5-0 out of 5 stars Gimme, a Soul Kiss...
this video is way under time. i should have been at least an hour or more worth of footage. as it is, it's golden. the segments, featuring all of the band members in their prime as members of jane's addiction, are very revealing, even if they weren't meant to be. some of the footage is set up to be in a fan video, some of it seems like normal day activity. it's labeled as the fan's video and it is just that. if you are a fan this video is just as important as the three main records released by jane's addiction.Read more

best show to hit the stage!

1-0 out of 5 stars That's the most boring Who video I know of
Very disapointing. It's like a paid commercial to sell the Broadway version of Tommy. Nothing new to see here. Contains a few short (10 seconds at most) excerpts of live Who concerts.4-0 out of 5 stars Provides insight into the world of "Tommy" and The Who
This video is a compliment to the wonderful compilation of music created by The Who.A must experience for any avid fan of The Who.It is somewhat reminiscent of the film " The Kids Are Alright"and shares someof the same footage.I am fortunate to have a copy on laser disc to bepreserved well into the next century.Catch it if you can!! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars THE GREATEST OF ALL ELVIS FILMS!
This movie has it all -- Michelle Carey, Elvis, changing times, psychedelic sequences (check out the "Edge of Reality" bit -- the girls "morph" *years* before the technology was invented!), taboo subjects (sex, etc.), and the original version of "A Little Less Conversation." It is a true romantic comedy; had it never been made with Elvis, and had been shot this year with Ben Afleck and Cameraon Diaz, it would be a smash hit! Actually, it was a pretty big hit in its own time, even though it was one of Elvis's last three or four movies. This film needs to be released on DVD soon! Especially wonderful is the widescreen version that airs on TNT every now and then. Michelle Carey was incredible -- I wish she was still around. The songs are great (all 4 of them), and this movie, written by the same dude that wrote "Private Lessons" (1981), rises above the rest of the awful schlock that Elvis concerned himself with for the majority of the sixties. Relax, check it out, and have a good time.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of Presley's BEST!
This film is very in tune with the 1960's and even has an acid-influenced Elvis-dream sequence!Elvis is very relaxed in the role and seems to actually enjoy it.He gets to be a cool photographer with a cool dune buggy and a great big dog for a pet. This is fast-paced, not slow, like some other reviewers have said...Elvis fans will be surprisingly pleased by this very-late-stage film.I think he made only 1 or 2 others after this one.I bought it for the psychedelic acid-dream sequence and ended up really enjoying the whole movie and I'm wasn't even a hardcore Elvis fan.(But now I am!)

5-0 out of 5 stars PleasePut On DVD!!!!!!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars DVD - Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert 1992
When I bought this DVD, I was under the impression it was a re-release of the VHS concert. I have the VHS version and was wanting to update my collection. The problem is - the quality of video on the DVD is very poor, most of the concert was cut out, the commentary by the celebrities about AIDS awareness was edited out as well. (Half the basis behind the concert in the first place.)My opinion - DO NOT BUY THIS DVD !!! I'm throwing mine away. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Marsalis on Music
All four Marsalis on Music videos are entertaining, educational, and good enough to watch again. My mom puts his vides on our car video system because of the beautiful music she gets to hear in the background. My 5 year old sister and I particularly enjoyed Why Toes Tap where he explains the jazz and ragtime beats.Marsalis relates well to kids.I play both alto and tenor sax in my junior high school band, and would recommend Toes Tap for lunch time viewing for everyone before band practice.

5-0 out of 5 stars Well worth buying AND watching (over and over and . . . .)
This video is targeted toward young, basically beginning music students. It works well for that, but adults and more seasoned students will also benefit immensely. It is not only worth watching once, but worth watching every few months. Watching Marsalis and Yo Yo Ma trading licks is alone worth the price!Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A true King of a Movie!
A perfect movie that never fails to make me smile. The scenery is gorgeous, the girls are gorgeous and Elvis is gorgeous so what more can you ask for? Best of all, you can watch it with the whole family without ever having to worry about hustling the kids out of the room due to inappropriate content. Too bad Hollywood stopped making films like this. Elvis can look down and be proud that he made quality family films that have stood the test of time!

5-0 out of 5 stars Wow! Great Pic!
This film rates 5 stars as a gorgeous movie musical, as a well-made film in and of itself, as a piece of sixties surf-and-sand nostalgia, as an Elvis vehicle, and as an Hawaiian "picture book" of sorts. It's young, it's fun, it's sunny and upbeat. You won't be disappointed.

5-0 out of 5 stars I just bought the tape...
...and I got it for less than $10.00 (including S&H), so IN YOUR FACE! Ahem. That being said, I think this awesome concert deserves to be seen in digitally-remastered DVD. I also recommend "Live at Donington", which is about twice as long as "Let There Be Rock" and includes some very cool Special Features. My rating (for the band & this tape): 10/10.

5-0 out of 5 stars In the beggining Bon Scott is the man
The best AC/DC movie. The interviews are pretty cool but the concert is way better. It's got Shot Down In Flames,Let There Be Rock,Live Wire,Highway to Hell, and other great songs.I like Brian Johnson but he cant sing anything like Bon Scott. If you've never heard AC/DC pick this up or if u love AC/DC and dont own this(i feel bad for you) PICK THIS UP!

5-0 out of 5 stars AC/DCLet There Be Rock
This is absolutely the best concert film of this band, and it is screaming for a remastering/sound touch-up. I went to alot of concerts in my younger days, and this video makes me nostalgic for that time, when a band just plugged in and ROCKED.Let's get this on a nice 5.1 surround DVD!If you like AC/DC, you have to find this. Few comebacks in rock and roll history have been as amazing as that of Aerosmith. Their triumphant return to the charts in the '80s not only rekindled the band's earlier success, but also significantly surpassed it. With their top 20 hits "Dude (Looks Like a Lady)," "Ragdoll," and the top 10 power ballad, "Angel," the group proved they had even more fire left in their fight than anyone could have imagined. Leaving behind its reckless lifestyle, the band sacrificed none of their rowdy rock and roll."Ragdoll" and "Love in an Elevator" built upon Aerosmith's raunchy blues approach to hard rock, complete with singer Steven Tyler's howl in the best form of his career. 5-0 out of 5 stars A Clasic
All the hits in one CD great I invite to all of you Aerosmith fans to buy this album.......enjoy

5-0 out of 5 stars "Great Ones"
Thats what this CD should be called! I have had this CD for many years now and I never get tired of it! This album consist mostly of Aerosmith's top singles released up to 1994. I have to admit that I wish that "Walk this Way" was on the album, but what can you do? I enjoy compilation CDs because every song is great! One of my favorite songs is on the album- "Livin' on the Edge", I think that this song is one of those classic s tunes that you can just jam out to while you are driving in your car. Another favorite of mine is "Amazing". Its another classic. I can remember the video so clearly, from when I was like 9 years old and watching MTV with my sisters. I love Aerosmith's sound. I have never heard a voice like Steven Tyler and Joe Perry is an amazing guitarist. I don't think that there is any other band out there that sounds similar to Aerosmith, they are in a genre all on their own. I am amazed at Aerosmith's ability to continue to rock out and continue to put out great music over so many years. I recommend this CD especially to someone that is just discovering Aerosmith, They will be able to hear some of the classics and "oldie but goldies" from them. If you buy this CD I hope you will cherish it for many years, like I have.

5-0 out of 5 stars What A Great Rare Musical Classic
This is a really great Classic Musical starring Danny Thomas and Doris Day.1-0 out of 5 stars Doris Day and Danny Thomas and music.
Doris Day works for a sheet music company where singers look for new music and where songs are published.Danny Thomas is a down-on-his-luck, persistant lyric writer who tries to persuade Doris to at least see his music. He then shows up at her home.Boy, what a pest. But she does like one song, quits her job and helps him get a song published. Not even Doris Day in "black face" can save this film.Fast moving, but not the best film for Doris Day and not the best of Danny Thomas.Mary Wickes and Jim Backus also in the cast. The young children Robert Lyden and Bunny Lewbel are a delight.

4-0 out of 5 stars Another Great Film By Michael Curtiz
Well directed by Michael Curtiz (Casablanca, The Adventures of Robin Hood), emotionally satisfying Doris Day film has terrific performances throughout; especially from Frank Lovejoy in a key supporting role. The film loses one star from me due to an unecessary scene with Doris Day performing in black face. ... Editorial Review

Part concert, part documentary, part travelogue, this video hit duplicates the sleeper success of Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli's album compilations and underscores his unique crossover appeal. In the U.S., Bocelli's critical response has been confined to fusillades of scorn from classical and opera writers, but the bulletproof superstar is better understood in the context of Europe's more established tradition of pop-classical fusions.Ironically, fans abroad are less prickly than stateside arbiters about the need for a discreet wall between high (classical) art and low (pop) kitsch, which Bocelli cheerfully ignores with his mix of operatic chestnuts, soft pop, and traditional Italian songs.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfection
Andrea is a gift to the those of us who dare to dream and be happy when listening to the beautiful melodies he interprets in such a fantastic way, and regardless of the language!
5-0 out of 5 stars the best of bocelli's CD
Personally I like opera in general, but I also like this DVD. So first, to somebody who always say sth like: "oh he sucks, his voice is not even close to operatic, those who like him must have ear problem, come on...compare with real tenors like pavarotti this guy is only like a college level vocalist, since I am a vocal student myself I know there are so many vocalists who sings better him."
5-0 out of 5 stars The Wonderful Romaza Concert
The Itallian Singing Sensation Andrea Bocelli returns to his hometown Pisa to Perform Popular Arias and songs from his albums Il Mare Calmo Della Sera and Romanza. This Concert was shown on PBS on a series called In The Spotlight. He performs with an Italian Orchestra conducted by Marcello Rota who conducted his Europe Sentimento Concert and has 3 Special Guests. The Best Part of this Concert is the Duet he sang withThe Phantom of the Opera Broadway and London Sarah Brightman which is Time to Say Goodbye. If you get this Concert on DVD you'll love this beautiful Duet. Also this Duet is on Sarah Brightman live at the Royal Albert Hall and Mr. Bocelli himself is on that DVD as a Special Guest. Also the Duet is in Andrea's Statue of Liberty Concert. So enjoy this Wonderful night of Romance in Tuscany with Andrea Bocelli. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Bill Wyman is NOT retired!
You can't believe everything you read.Mr. Wyman was recently interviewed on a radio show where I live, and he is quite happily involved in a band he deliberately does not want to get big called The Rhythm Kings so he can stay close to his family's home and not drag them out on the road.He also likes to indulge in archeology when he's on his land, no doubt the same place he dug up some of the old, egomaniacal relics who are sorely misinformed about everything they write because they are so in love with themselves.

5-0 out of 5 stars Only "Gimmie Shelter" Is Better Than This
This is absolutly, unequivocably the very best..."packaging" of the Rolling Stones in the early daze of video. The "plot?" Well, the now-retired Bassist, Bill Wyman dresses himself as a museum curator and sneaks into some generic museum's "locked-up exhibits" room.We wanders around some "exhibits," and finds an ancient computer which triggers the videos "She Was Hot" and "She's So Cold."The "She Was Hot" video alone justifes the entire "Rewind" video - watch, especially, for Keith Richards' experience with a torrid redhead. Bill views all-too-brief clips of Mick performing "Hey Negrita" and the infamous "Midnight Rambler-slap the belt on the floor" routine. He muses, "The old devil - 'ey, he must be around here somewhere!" He finds Mick trapped in a distinctly "Mick Jagger Pose," encased in a glass booth - and the scene where the discovery is made and Mick taps on the glass and begs, "Let Me Out" is absoluetly hilarious. Bill plays around on the computer some more, and after generating the "Neighbors," part of the "Emotional Rescue," and the "Waiting For A Friend" videos, he then generates a hilarious "interview" with the Stones, circa the "Some Girls" era.And once again, Keith steals the show, when he replies to an unctuous "interviewer," "I haven't had any problems with drugs, only policemen."Bill says, "HE must in in 'ere somewhere," and Mick sort of whispers, "I think he's in 'ere" -and when he and Bill pull the sheet off the "Keith" exhibit, the glass is broken (no Keith!), and Bill observes, "He must've gone out for another bottle!" - and Keef's "top-A chime on the guitar" riff triggers the beautiful "Angie" video.Further treats in "Video Rewind" include the Keef and Bobby Keys dropping a television set out of a hotel window, and then, we get our first glimpse of the infamous "airplane scene" from the still-unreleased "C********r Blues" video (are you listening, Robert Frank, and/or Allen Klien?)Whew! And that's just the tip of the iceberg (sort of)! To close, this is basically just a vehicle for "MTV-era" Stones' videos, but it's encased in a very, very funny, "laugh-out-loud" milieu starring Bill and Mick."Video Rewind" is no "Stones' story" kind of thing, as is the most excellent "25 X 5," it's just sheer escapism entertainment.Andit, along with Michael Nesmith's "Elephant Parts," are THE TWO videos for "party" (a'huh-huh-huh) purposes.Enjoy yourself!Tell 'em beatsuburban recommended these!

4-0 out of 5 stars Probably the best we'll get.
Outside of bootleggers' copies of the Stones video history, this is probably the best representation of their '70s/early '80s era that we'll get from a band not particularly known for being organized. While sadly lacking the great 'Start Me Up'-'Stones craggily arise from the ashes for another decade'- video, 'She's So Cold' is goofy fun, 'Too Much Blood' is Mick in vintage mid-life crisis, and 'Waiting On A Friend,' even abbreviated, will cut deep into anyone who's ever spent a summer in that most transient of cities, NY.Plus, the between video excerpts of Keith quotes and pieces of bearded Jagger and 'Hey, Negrita' perform the perfect magician's trick of giving us a faint glimpse of the enormity of the band's history.Buy it used and have some fun. ... In 1996, composer, producer, and guitar legend Ry Cooder entered Egrem Studios in Havana with the forgotten greats of Cuban music, many of them in their 60s and 70s, some of them long since retired. The resulting album, Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars The story behind the music...
Ok it wasn't exactly what I expected, which teaches me to read the reviews :D, but its still worth the watch to get a feel of those times and how the music came together. I bought it as a gift, and though more music would have been appreciated...it was a good blend of documentary and the music.

5-0 out of 5 stars Superb music!
I rented this movie on DVD having little knowlege about the subject matter other than it was an award winning documentary. Essentially, for me, it was an introduction to a new type of music. Many years ago in junior high school in a small town in the Rockies my Spanish teacher was a newly arrived Cuban immigrant. He was an excellent teacher and that memory made me curious about this movie. This gathering of semi-retired musicians still has so much soul and if you don't get goose bumps at least once you are probably tone deaf. Unfortunately, I have seen only the Japanese edition here in Japan which has no English subtitles for my Spanish which has grown rusty. Although I can read Japanese subtitles I would prefer English ones for the lyrics.

Great music! Great cinematography too. Loved the stories of the musicians. Watching the movie gives me the feeling of being in Cuba. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Look...
Look you'll either love it or you'll hate it. There is not to much middle ground on this movie. I loved it. Yes it's crazzy, yes it's odd, yes it's historically incorect, but it's fun and it is full of vibrant energy. It is not quite your typical musical, but turn of the centry paris was not a typical town, and despite its flaws its an amazing and fun to watch movie.

1-0 out of 5 stars Total Trash: An Abuse of History
This is a film for people who know nothing of history and don't mind seeing one of the most talented and tragic artists of all time portrayed as a singing and dancing life-of-the-partymidget. Never mind that the REAL star of the Moulin Rouge was an obese redhead (a far cry from Kidman) nicknamed "The Glutton", never mind that the film is chock full of ridiculous anachronism (who the hell sold these jerks the rights to "Smells like Teen Spirit", fer chrissakes??? they should be found and punished. Severely.), never mind that the entire film is directed to look exactly like an extended music video: Euen MacGregor is SO DREAMY WHEN HE SINGS and that is all that matters! (Ugh, excuse me for just a second: I feel ill.)
5-0 out of 5 stars An amazing movie
I love "Moulin Rogue". I thought it was a beautiful, cool, and amazing film. The singing and the speical effects were incredible. It tells the story of Christan, a young writer who comes to Paris at the turn of the twenith century. He goes to the Moulin Rogue, a night club where he sees the "sparkling dimaond" the beautiful Satine who she falls in love with. But the Duke also wants Satine, and he is jealous of Christan and Satine's relionship. Nicole Kidman and Ewan Mcgregor are great actors, and I love the music and the increible feeling I get when I watch this movie. ... Read more
