They skydive, they kickbox, they travel through space. Is there anything these crayon-colored teens can't do? The answer seems a resounding "no," until some construction workers unwittingly open a manhole cover and loose Ivan Ooze upon Angel Grove. Although incarcerated in his egglike tomb for 6,000 years, Ooze gets right to work at that world domination thing. First up: Strip those eager teens of their morphin uniforms and associated powers and send their leader Zordon to his crystalline deathbed. There's nothing to do but head for a distant planet to meet up with a bikini-clad warrior babe who imparts ancient wisdom and power. Meanwhile, Ooze has been turning parents into zombies who craft giant metallic insects--all the better to take over the world with. This 90-minute film features some cast changes from the Fox television series, as well as better special effects and extended fight scenes, which account for the PG rating. Parents must weigh in for themselves on the famous violent-influence-or-not question. Although, like anything else, what seemed violent in 1995 may seem a bit tame today. Ages 5 and up. Read more

    5-0 out of 5 stars 1995--I was 7. Power Rangers--cool!!
I'd have to give this movie an A-. I read the original script and wish that most of the footage and ideas left out could have made it better. But for what was delivered, it was awesome!!! I've even ordered the DVD from Amazon.com.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Product
Very good product sent in excellent condition. Would purchase other items from this vendor.

5-0 out of 5 stars Greatest Ever
To this day, Power Rangers the Movie is forever the greatest spin-off of the series, ever. This was the first to not be based off the original Super Sentai series that the show was spliced from. While the dialogue is still cheesy and the movements over-exaggerated, it's a drastic improvement from the show. I decided to re-watch it after I found that Johnny Young Bosch who played Adam Park was going to be at Anime Expo this year. Thirteen years later and I still enjoy it. I can't help it, it's a brilliant movie perfect for young children. Unlike today where many of the so-called children's movies are filled with double entendres and adult humor, this has very few jokes a child will not understand. A perfect movie filled with good vs evil, silly over the top villains (come on...Ivan Ooze?) and giant robots. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Some Good and Some Blah
I was so excited when I found this old movie on my shelf.I remember liking it a lot back in the day when I was a kid. This time when I watched it though, I was surprised to see it drag in several places.George goes through the same comic routine of getting caught in the sprocket machine several times, and it takes forever for someone to come up with an idea of staying in the plant after working hours to figure out what's causing all the trouble.
3-0 out of 5 stars Tiffany almost ruins it.
When they made this movie, they recorded the voices with the original cast. Before release they thought that it would help marketing to replace Janet Waldo's voice with Tiffany's. If this were a new creation that would have been fine, but everyone knows what Judy Jetson is supposed to sound like, and it isn't Tiffany. I don't think enough people knew or cared about this to affect ticket sales anyways. Since they did record the whole movie initially with Janet Waldo as Judy, if that recording still exists, when this makes it to DVD it should have an alternate track with the original vocals. It wouldn't be hard to do, but movies like this rarely get much love on DVD. Hanna-barbera has given a lot of love to their series sets though, but since Universal and MCA are mixed up in this one, I'd be surprised to get more than a bare-bones movie disc.

3-0 out of 5 stars Feels more like a long TV episode than an actual movie
Jetsons: The Movie is like a long episode of the show - but with music. It's a fun enough ride, but it never takes on the feel of an actual movie. With its diverse set of characters and intergalactic creatures, it's an interesting enough story.Judged solely as a movie, though, it comes up short (and not only in terms of its running time of 82 minutes, 7 of which are the end credits). The film just never really managed to distinguish itself from old episodes of the show, making you wonder why they bothered to make a movie in the first place.

The swashbuckler genre bumped into science fiction in 1954 for one of Hollywood's great entertainments. The Jules Verne story of adventure under the sea was Walt Disney's magnificent debut into live-action films. A professor (Paul Lukas) seeks the truth about a legendary sea monster in the years just after the Civil War. When his ship is sunk, he, his aide (Peter Lorre), and a harpoon master (Kirk Douglas) survive to discover that the monsteris actually a metal submarine run by Captain Nemo (James Mason). Along with the rollicking adventure, it's fun to see the future technology that Verne dreamed up in his novel, including diving equipment and sea farming. The film's physical prowess is anchored by the Nautilus, an impressive full-scale gothic submarine complete with red carpet and pipe organ. In the era of big sets,Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Disney fans don't hesitate to buy this!
I purchased this as simply and add on to my ever growing Disney DVD collection. I did not really expect much. What a wonderful surprise awaited me inside this little package. The movie was very good, but the special features made it excellent. I learned so much from watching them about the Disney studios at the time of the filming as well as about Walt Disney himself. The features also included great detailed info about the making of the film, the musical score and many many other intersting things. This is a must own for Disney fans and Sci-Fi movie fans. I assure you, you will not be disappointed.

5-0 out of 5 stars I probably don't need to add another 5 star review, but...
I really, really like this movie! It is THE best adaptation of any Jules Verne movie I have seen. While the special effects aren't amazing, they were great for the time (I mean, when was this thing made? In the 50's or 60's I'm pretty sure). James Mason turns out a wonderful performance as Captain Nemo, the tortured genius of the sea, and the other actors played their parts very, very well. Watch the movie and read the book, they're both quite excellent!

5-0 out of 5 stars Still Entertaining After All These Years
I've always been a sucker for Submarine Movies, and as a kid, this one really captured my imagination. The Nautilus is rendered here with amazing, gothic detail. The film also has a great story and themes, and some fine performances, and underwater action. I recently watched it again with my own kids. I was a little concerned that with today's rapid fire non-stop action kiddie movies, they would be bored by it. In fact, they were quite entertained by it and watched the squid sequence over several times. I also still found it very entertaining. As far as the extras go, don't miss the original "Sunset Squid" sequence which was scrapped in favor of the one which was used in the film. It is hilariously bad: you can see the wires on the tentacles. A smart decision to drop this one. The short documentary on the real Humboldt squid is also worth a look. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Fairly dopy movie
Very odd and original movie about shrinking people to microscopic size and injecting them into a man's body to allow them to do laser surgery in his brain and save his life.
3-0 out of 5 stars Hard to place
On one hand, this movie is absolutely incredible. The special effects, suspense, and adventuristic elements are very well done and very engaging. In general, it's definitely entertaining and fun to sit back and just allow to take you along, like the ship in the bloodstream. It also throws random thoughts about religion and philosophy out in a way that should at least be appreciated for trying to cater to an intellectual audience, I suppose...
4-0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun and very visual
A group of specialists are miniaturized and, along with a bacteria-sized submarine, are injected into a genius to repair a blood clot in the brain. The premise certainly demands a healthy dose of suspension of disbelief but, once accepted, the result is a colorful, visually amazing spectacle that has enough plot, enough intrigue and tension, enough action, and enough good acting (not a plethora, but enough) to make it a real worthwhile viewing experience.Donald Pleasance was the perfect choice as the team's medical sopecialist, with Stephen Boyd (what ever happened to him?) as the no-nonsense commander, and Raquel Welch is beautiful but brainy. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars The Titanium Ranger is who?!?!?!?!?
This is a pretty good movie, adding to the chalked up points of the Lightspeed series. The beginning of the movie shows Carter trying out the new Titanium Ranger morpher, but the circuitry is too extreme and powerful for a normal human*. Soon after, Dana and Captain Mitchell celebrate the 20th birthday of their brother and son respectively. That night, the Titanium morpher is stolen by a secret agent of Diabolico's, who seems to feel something for the two Mitchells. The next day, the Rangers are introduced to the evil Titanium Ranger, who kicks their multicoloured butts. Although soon, they beat the evil Ranger with the help of new weapons called V-Lancers. Before they can destroy the Titanium Ranger, Captain Mitchell calls them off, recognising the eyes that are inadvertently shown during the fight. When the Rangers get back to the Aquabase, they demand to know why he called them off. The next part will shock you, so buy the movie!5-0 out of 5 stars Fabulous
This recent PR reincarnation is superb, in any way I can name it. It practically contains NO (I repeat NO) cheesy plot lines and plot holes, because of the original plotline--Ryan, the new Titanium Ranger (takes off his shirt many times--female viewers will appreciate the eye candy he provides) is cursed with a cobra tattoo which crawls closer to his neck every time he morphs. Once it gets close enough, it will destroy him.5-0 out of 5 stars From a mom's point of view
Of all the power rangers episodes I've seen, the writing of this video is one of the best. The mysterious appearance of an evil ranger turns out to be the long lost brother of the Pink Ranger, and their father runs the Power Ranger operation! Please ignore the fact that although the monsters recently escaped their prison, somehow they got a hold of Ryan (the Titanium Ranger) some 15 years ago. Think to deeply and you'll ruin the fun. These shows remind me of the hokiness of Ultraman(if you're under 30 - don't ask)with the morality of the Brady Bunch. These guys just kick more butt. Definately a keeper. ... Read more

    3-0 out of 5 stars It's Morphing Time(Mastedon)
This video faetures two episodes from mmpr(way better than the wacky one's now) about the black ranger. The first episode is about when the rangers plan a surprise party for his birthday and then they have to face a new monster of Rita's named The Nasty Knight. The second episode is about when Lord Zedd casts a spell on these glasses that Zack and the blue ranger Billy have worn to take a test. Now they are seeing the other rangers as putties plus they have to fight a new monster that Zedd has created.

4-0 out of 5 stars Power to the Black Ranger
This is great for lovers of the best, and original power rangers. When the Black Ranger was Black and the Yellow Ranger was asian. Unlike the power rangers nowadays, the ones in this video dont need stunt doubles, They can actualy fight. Jason and Zack really beat down the putties with some fighting skills. The secound episode of this tape had some good action. Get this tape for some action with the REAL power rangers. Holla!

4-0 out of 5 stars Power Rangers: Black Ranger Adventure

1-0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointing
I love Power Ranger since I was a kid, it was nice to see the Lost Galaxy Ranger back again but the major problem is that this isn't a movie! It's an episode I saw it when they aired Lightspeed Rescue. Leo's voice is 100% different and the Lost Galaxy Morphing was different then the actual episode morphing. I was very disappointed.

All those Saturday mornings ago, did you ever wonder what would happen if the Jetson family was jettisoned back in time? Or how Fred and Wilma would fare in the future? Well in 1987 the good folks at Hanna-Barbera put their heads together and came up with this animated answer. You might predict that boy-crazy Judy would get a crush on a prehistoric himbo or that Fred would elbow Barney out of the way to appear on the Joan Rivers Show. (Remember it was 1987.) But would you guess that Dino and Astro would become such pals? It all starts when a work-weary George agrees to pile the family into Elroy's time machine, never dreaming it will actually work. Landing outside Bedrock, the family is rescued by the prehistoric couples, who give them shelter in exchange for some high-tech help, as the fellows are having job troubles of their own. Long story short: Due to a technical glitch Fred and friends wind up in the Jetsons' futuristic home with Rosie the Robot and an angry Mr. Spacely, while the Jetson clan stages a Bedrock takeover. This 92-minute caper is suitable for any age. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Greatest Coming Together in the History or "Prehistory" of Family
Hanna-Barbera brought together their legendary families, the prehistoric family, the Flintstones and the futuristic family, the Jetsons in the full length feature "The Jetsons Meet the Flintstones" Elroy invents a time machine that sends his family to a Million years back in time to Bedrock, Home of Fred and Wilma Flintstone and Barney and Betty Rubble. Fred & Barney show George their prehistoric city, Wilma and Betty show Jane cooking brontosarus meat, Judy is out to hook up with a prehistoric boy and Astro has found Dino to chase. The time Machine accidently sends the opposite family to the opposite time, so until everyone gets back to the right time, the Jetsons experience ancient relics while the Flintstones experience advanced technology. It's delightful and fun coming together of Two legendary families from Hanna Barbera.

4-0 out of 5 stars great nostalgia, good movie
this movie was really enjoyable. i'd forgotten how great these two shows are. my favorite characters elroy, rosie, and jane are still as awesome as ever, as are wilma, betty, and barney. includes all the little things i'd forgotten about the originals, like little puns thrown in and the machine/animals in the flinstones making comments. this 90+ min movie is a little disjoint and the two families are only actually together for one section, but it's a great gimmick. highlights include barney dressing as a woman, wilma and betty trying out jane's hair and makeup robots, and elroy mowing the lawn -- the first time he's ever seen grass. all in all a load of fun. i'm going to have to track down the other movies now.

5-0 out of 5 stars the ultimate get together
i remember when TBS/TNT used to air this cartoon every Thanksgiving. i always loved it because it combined two opposite families and it provided the ultimate get together. imagine The Jetsons meeting the Flintstones...it was a logical step. in the story we see Elroy (voice of legend Daws Butler) building a time machine that transports the entire clan to Bedrock. chaos soon ensues as the Flintstones get transported into the future. Fred and George become "celebrities" with their appearances: Cosmo Spacely, George's boss, (voice of legend Mel Blanc) wants to make a killing with nostalgia buffs with authentic people from the stone-age with the leopard suits and fashion. meanwhile, "a million miles back that way" as Fred would say, the Jetsons are impressing the folks of Bedrock with their space age methods prompting Mr. Slate, Fred's boss (voice of legend John Stephenson), to hire George for his time and money saving ideas. soon, boredom sets in and both sets of families yearn for their natural habitat and each family returns to their respective residence. other voice legends who also share the spotlight: Henry Corden is Fred; Jean Vanderpyl is Wilma, Mrs. Slate, and the Jetson's robotic maide Rosie. Don Messick is Astro and R.U.D.I. as well as an announcer on the P.A. system {p.s: Don's real voice was used for Ranger Smith of "Yogi Bear" as well as countless narration jobs on early Hanna-Barbera cartoons mostly notably "Ruff and Ready" and "Quick Draw McGraw"}. Mel Blanc, in addition to Mr. Spacely, also voiced Dino and Barney Rubble. Daws Butler, in addition to Elroy, also voiced Henry Orbit, the mechanic in the Jetson's apartment as well as Cogswell, the competitor of Mr. Spacely. this video is wonderful and it should bring back memories of the "good ol' days" of simple characters and simplistic stories designed for adult entertainment as well as for children. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars If You're A Fan Of Power Rangers, This Tape Is Worth Your $!
For a show intended for kids, this was really quite good. If you can suspend your disbelief and refrain from being too critical, this tape has some really neat effects, cool acrobatic martial arts sequences, and some interesting looking characters and weapons. You get a full 90 minutes on this tape, so depending on whether you enjoy the Power Rangers or not, that can be either good or bad.But if you've got a kid in the family or you're just a kid at heart and into light-fare sci-fi martial arts action, this tape is a pretty great buy.

1-0 out of 5 stars Enough of the Power Rangers already, Saban!
Damn it! I just came from dissing the new Lightspeed Rescue jobholders and now I have to do the same thing to THESE clowns? The Magna Defender was theonly reason to watch Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, which in my opinion wasvery different from the previous follow-ups. Believe it or not, where thefirst three reincarnations had teens not yet graduated from college(remember "Angel Grove"?), this one and the seriouslyreincarnated Lightspeed Rescue puts these former superstars in a whole newrole. Here, they work for their masters, and most recently, they even havejobs, but who cares? Can you imagine the ridiculous craze that stormed theworld years ago? Make it stop once and for all!

I am a long-tim fan of power rangers, the whole idea of them. MMPR was good, Zeo was better, Turbo was below average. I was ready to give up on PR until Power Rangers in Space came out. To this day, keep in mind I am turning fifteen, and I still like Power Rangers in Space. The movie is awesome, but some parts are cut out. Power Rangers in space had everything that most current incarnations fail to reach.
5-0 out of 5 stars One of the last seasons that was great unti Dino thunder
This season was great. The ending was sad because zordon was destroyed. I wounder how are they getting their powers know since he is gone. I liked the megavoyager, athe astromegaship (WHich was destroyed in a future season) and the other one that zane had. I still watch the show and i am only 16. Know they finally brought back a good character back. I wounder if they will bring back the rest in future seasons?

4-0 out of 5 stars Kate Capshaw's performance is striking.
I haven't seen this movie, Space Camp since I was a kid and yes it is a little corny, unpredictable, and silly but it is still enjoyable and heartfelt thrill ride. Look for a young Joaquin Phoenix aka Leaf. Capshaw is terrific as Andie who and her husband are assigned to space camp during the summer. Pretty much a guilty pleasure sort of film. Enjoy!

4-0 out of 5 stars Love this family movie that was a victim of terrible timing
When the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 occurred the movie "Collateral Damage"was pulled from release, to be postponed for months after the incident. It's also quite common for television stations to pull a scheduled showing of a disaster movie when a real-life disaster occurs. However, there is perhaps no more glaring example of bad timing having an adverse affect on a movies chances than SPACECAMP.
4-0 out of 5 stars Blast Off!

2-0 out of 5 stars Turbo A Power Rangers Movie
This movie is lame.First of all why didnt they explain how they lost their zeo powers? Im still left in the dark about this one? Second why is a 10 year old playing a power ranger? Couldnt someone a little older played the blue ranger? Third of all why couldnt Jason morph? He still had that zeonizer didnt he? The only good parts are lauging at how stupid that wizard Lerigot looks and getting to daze at Kimberlys sexy body.

5-0 out of 5 stars My Grandson's favorite movie.
My Grandson loves this movie so much that it is becoming a bit of a problem with him wanting to watch it over and over.He has certainly gotten his money's worth out of this one.

: ANCIENT AWAKENING (3/02/02) 4-0 out of 5 stars This is more like it!
Now this really is more like it! After the disappointing Lion Heart video, we finally get to see what Power Rangers Wild Force can really do. What we've basically got here is four episodes edited together. Throughout the story we are introduced to new zords, about one per episode. All of this is great fun, although personally I feel bad for the old zords that get rejected for the new zords. That's right! The old zords don't get destroyed or anything. This has happened several times in Mighty Morph'n Power Rangers, Power Rangers In Space and Power Rangers Lost Galaxy to name just a few. Here, the old zords just get put aside so that the new zords can form a new combination. You see the thing is, some zords clash with each other. For instance, imagine a lion with giant bear arms. Might be a bit of a strain on the lion. Get the idea? Also, the theme song of Power Rangers Wild Force is nowhere near as catchy as Power Rangers Time Force, however if you happen to have Dolby Surround which I do, it is great to hear the roar of the wild animals. Add this to your collection, and then wait for the next Power Rangers Wild Force videos! ... Read more

A great kids movie and as far as I'm concerned a good movie for adults. I loved the book Treasure Island and I loved this movie for its animation, creativity, music, and especially the superb voice talent. Great movie for anyone. Also recommended: Black Cauldron-great visuals within the movie

    4-0 out of 5 stars Under-Rated Gem
"Treasure Planet" bombed at the box office and that's a shame because there is a lot to admire in this under-rated gem. The animation is top notch, the pacing is swift and the movie by and large avoids the treacly conventions that mar most Disney films. If your household is home to a young fan of Pixar features and the animated films of acclaimed Japanese director Hayao Myazaki, I think you will find this a Disney flick worth watching.

5-0 out of 5 stars Glad Disney Took A Chance
I'm not in the habit of reviewing movies, but I'm making an exception for this one because my kids love this movie, and it is my favorite Disney outing to date (though I also enjoyed Tron, Dinosaur, and almost anything from Pixar). This fast-paced, re-imagined version of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic story is watchable for many reasons, but I enjoyed the great voice acting, the Brandywine School inspired backgrounds, and the interesting hybridization of futuristic elements with 18th century technology (I'm glad Disney didn't play it straight with this one).

Spacely. this video is wonderful and it should bring back memories of the "good ol' days" of simple characters and simplistic stories designed for adult entertainment as well as for children. ... I despise this show. They ruin the timeline completely. One thing that made me hate this show is that they ruined my favorite childhood sentai group: the Big Bad Beetle Borgs. They made Shadow Borg an idiotic lackey, had the Green Beetle Borg a villain, and discluded some of the other Borgs(especially the Blue and Red)!I also hated the Power Rangers in it.They are so lame."EVERYTHING'S MY FAULT!I HATE MY LIFE!WAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!"
