Another round of shows with the Crocodile Hunter
Somewhat disapointing collection of shows from the Crocodile Hunter TV series, I wish they would make available more of the original episodes on VHS, from which much of this footage was taken from.They are very good documentries in their own right.

Some interesting parts, but . . .
I'd only seen one episode of the show when I purchased the video for myfriend's son (age 12), and that episode was intense, informative andthrilling.With a title that includes "most dangerous" Iexpected more of the same, but the first segment with tiger sharks wasdownright boring.Lots of the same shots, lots of exclamations of wonder,but no real information - for example what were all the smaller fishswimming with the sharks?Baby sharks?Lamprey?The video does improveas it goes along, but with all the "dangerous" bits isolatedSteve seems a bit of a fool and quite the pest to bother the poor animals! My twelve-year-old friend was not enthralled either, so I'd say skip thisone and try one of the others.

I'm a huge crocodile hunter fan and this video is a great recap of excite bits from some of the best episodes plus a few things you dind't see on camera. Its got some of the bits from indonesia when 2 komodo dragonschased him down, about a zillion snake bites ( includeing hte infamoustimber ratter day! )< when terri started to fall off the cliff, and tonsmore. If watching the Crocodile excites you and you are looking for more crocodile action, this is it with a nice history lesson on Steve.

Crocodile Dundee he ain't....
I'm editing my review in light of Steve Irwin's tragic death, but not my opinion of him in general. I recall seeing a documentary on his life, and feeling respectful of his genuine enthusiasm and passion for Australian wildlife, but that doesn't change the fact that many of his antics with dangerous animals were highly irresponsible.
If you like Crocodiles and Alligators..
If you can't get enough viewing pleasure of seeing these awesome reptiles on film, then this tape is for you. Steve and Terri Irwin recount the many adventures they've had while filming efforts to save the Austrailan Crocodiles both in the zoo and in the wild. They are really trying to safeguard these animales for future generations to enjoy, and this film (produced and directed by John Stainton) shows it all. Buy IT.

Crazy!
I have seen only one video more crazy than this one. It was Steve Irwin' rattlesnake tour of the States. This guy is totally crazy! Would you try to catch a croc at night in a brown muddy waters with bare hands? Would you dive to free a croc trapped in a net? Would you provoke a 300 pound croc to attack you and then have fun with it? I doubt it. But Steve does all these things. OK, part of this is just a show, but still... See for yourself... ... This first movie from the Discovery Channel favorite opens with a plot of international intrigue over a downed satellite, but within four minutes Steve Irwin is belly flopping after a baby croc on the outback floor. Steve and his nerves-of-steel sidekick wife, Terri, are asked to relocate a cattle-chomping crocodile before it's shot by a local rancher. This same reptile happened to swallow the intelligence-gathering device that fell to earth, and so begins the goofball premise of this lark of a movie. Terrific Epitaph To The Life of the Crocodile Hunter
I only saw Steve Irwin's show a few times.I saw him a few times on the talk show circuit and found him an engaging personality.Unfortunately, I was drawn to this film by Steve's untimely passing.I was hesitant to view it for two reasons.I didn't want to dislike this film.I also didn't want to praise this film effusely because of Steve's death.Fortunately, this is a terrific family film.The best part of the film is that Steve is an engagingly energetic cheerleader for wildlife.Not only is Steve witty but he is incredibly knowledgable about the wild kingdom.I'm not a viewer of the Discovery Channel but I was on the edge of my seat as Steve relates the lifestyles of varied creatures.Steve's wife, Terri, makes for a fetching sidekick.The only drawback to the film are lesser stories about the CIA trying to intercept a missing black box in the Outback and a portly female rancher trying to bag a crocodile whose been devouring her livestock.These story threads, however, are ultimately woven into the story for a satisfying conclusion.If you have reservations about viewing this film because it may make you sad never fear.Ultimately, "Crocodile Hunter-Collision Course" is a celebration of a rich and full life and that will bring on a smile.

A wonderful way to remember the legendary Steve Irwin
If you were a fan of the late, great Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin, then Collision Course is a must-have for your collection. The movie isn't bad...not the best movie ever, but it's certainly entertaining enough, and if you enjoyed watching Irwin's shows, you'll have fun with this movie. Perhaps the best part is all the special features on the disc. There are several documentaries and deleted scenes that are just terrific and yet another way to immortalize Steve Irwin forever. Kids will no doubt appreciate this film too, and I don't think a single profanity is ever uttered in it. The price Amazon lists it for is decent, but I found mine shockingly enough right after Steve Irwin died in the $5.50 bin at Wal-Mart. Definitely a steal at that price! With Collision Course, you have a wonderful memento of the Steve Irwin we all loved so much. Enjoy!

Incredible!!!
It's a shame that this particular episode didn't make a DVD, because this is one of the most incredible rescues that Australia Zoo has ever undertaken, surpassing even the Bunya Rescue (unfortunately not available for home purchase.) A Great Video

Irresponsible and anything but educational.
I assume this video, and in fact this series, is intended for a young audience interested in learning about nature. I would strongly advise teachers and parents to look elsewhere than in any of the Steve Irwin "Crocodile Hunter" series.As a retired biologist and natural historian, I tell you this man and his colleagues are a menace.This video, "Crocodiles of the Revolution" catches some of the most irreponsible and cruel animal "documentaries" I have seen. Our male co-host is a "showboater" and huckster who cares far more about creating lively footage than in being humane to the animals. It is the handling of the second, male, crocodile that is simply beyond the pale.It is done in an utterly irresponsible fashion, with well over a hundred laughing, excited people around to further render the "croc's" move a semi-donnybrook.Good action scenes, but stupid, dangerous animal handling. The risk here is that young people will think this is a proper way to go about handling and moving animals. There are many other great nature series for kids.To learn >and< be entertained, kids deserve intelligent documentaries just like adults. ... Read more

This is a good video.Kinda boring.It shows a cobra spit at Steve without sunglasses.I say wait until this comes on TV again.

No way to handle venomous snakes.
Teachers and parents should be advised that Steve Irwin is far more interested in Steve Irwin looking daring than in young peoples' welfare.If North American kids try handling any of our resident deadly snakes the way Irwin does, they'll end up very sick or possibly dead. Even non-venomous snakes should not be handled this way.Of course, the video does not >advocate< children handling snakes in this fashion, (So the distributors of this series could not be sued!) but that is not how a young audience works. There is a considerable risk that if something appears cool, it is worth "having a try" on one's own.

I still hate Snakes.

A Great Classroom Science Film
Let me state the obivious, in that the man is either nuts or has a death wish. None the less, if one wants to reward his classroom then whip this puppy out and let the kids have some fun!

Crocodile Hunter is the Best!
This is a GREAT video.It is a shame that Africa's Deadliest Snakes/Spitting Cobras of the World/Crocodiles of the Revolution are not all on 1 DVD like Steve's Story/Most Dangerous Adventures/Greatest Croc Captures.In this video he goes around talking about snakes like the Gaboon Viper, the Death Adder, Egyptain Cobra, and catches a Black Mamba in someone's house.Buy the Video!!

Very Exciting!
In this video Steve Irwin (of Crikey! fame)travels to Africa and hunts down poisonous snakes. Watching him get so close to snakes that could easily kill him keeps you on the edge of your seat. He gives lots of fascinating facts about the snakes he encounters. He tells about his special task of traveling to African villages which are being overrun by too many poisonous snakes. His job is to find and remove the snakes and to my surprise he relocated the snakes to an uninhabited area instead of killing them. He really loves snakes! He also handles some scorpions. What a lil beauty!
*L* Wheter you think he's absolutely LOST it or adore watching every moment of each show, you can't help but be interested in Steve irwin and each of his videos. The 3 tapes show not only soe of the more dangerousdays ( one tape of all crocodile captures and near misses ) a tape ofpersonal glimpses of the irwens lives ( includeing his mother, father,wife, one sister, best friends, wedding video, and the day baby bendi wasborn and he brought the film crew to the hospital with him, seemingly tohis wifes dismay ) and some of the worst cuaght on tape bits where he andterrie nearly had to cash in those insurance policies. I never had much interest in nature-related shows before. But that was before the day I clicked on the Discovery Channel... and saw it. All of a sudden I'm watching 'Crocodile Hunter' or as I like to call it, 'TheAdventures of the Aussie who loves nature a whole lot more than hispersonal safety'. Steve Irwin's actually getting right in the thick ofthings, and bringing the missus along to assist! Capturing venomous snakeswith his bare hands and proper timing, wrestling crocs to the ground,carefully capturing timid, injured creatures so he can hospitalize them& help them recuperate, and other unbelievable adventures. And all thewhile he's telling you, a bit too gleefully perhaps, how deadly theparticular species of beast that he's facing down is, or that you should"never attempt this kinda thing". My friend, Arianna had this video in grade 4/5/6 and probly still has it(thats off the topic) well she brought it to school one day for the class to watch, and all i can say is it is great, it shows how horses evovled, how mating between donkey and zebras and horses make weird animals.
