The DVD Stinks, what a WASTE on such a GREAT Movie !
Don't need to add more that others have already said about the feature itself, but the DVD now that's another story.
The Land before Time
I bought this movie for my son and he likes it. My mother bought it for me when i was a child and for her other grandchildren and we all loved it. this is a must have classic all time movie. you wont be dissapointed!!

4:3 was the original aspect ratio
For those of you who are hesitant to buy this because it says "fullscreen", please know that 4:3 was the original aspect ratio for this film. I wish the DVD box said so. But normally a lot of these movies are animated in full screen and then when they are released in theatres they are matted out so it fits the cinema screen properly. The Best Dinosaur Movie Out There! ;)
This is a perfect movie for the whole family to watch on a family night! Excellent for children to learn about dinosaurs and their history. Definitely recommend! =)

Dinosaur makes us roar!
I purchased this for my two kids...boys age 3 and 5 1/2.They both LOVE to watch this movie.Over and over again!The animation is excellent, the story a great "good triumphs over bad" tale.Not too scary, although a few moments that make us all jump!Great movie!I highly reccomend it!

I purchased this dvd for my grandson who just turned 3 & has a fascination with Dinosaurs. He was completely engrossed by the visual effects of the movie. The artwork makes the dinosaurs look realistic, opposed to one-dimension cartoon version movies.

terrible
This movie has two issues that make it terrible for children. It is very based on evolution with de-evolution being a big part of the story. Secondly, there is a scene where two children sell their souls to a circus owner, signing on the line in their own blood. For those who do not object to these things, there is the rest. It is brainless, plotless, pointless, foolishness; not to mention very, very dumb. Kids do like the animated dinosaurs walking, talking, back to life. However that doesn't make it worth showing them or (yuck) actually having to sit through the whole miserable movie.

Another '90s Flop
I agree that this is a video somewhat suitable for children. They enjoy it. They sing along to it. They mimic the childish flirtations between the two human main characters. All-in-all, a passable kids' movie.

Thrilling for kids!!
My son loves Dora, Diego, and like all little boys he also likes dinosaurs. So the gift of a Diego movie with dinosaurs simply thrilled him. We sing & dance along. I wish there were more Diego DVDs.

Does not work
I wasted couple hours to try setting up the clock.It was like what the previous customer said, it was gaining time and not accurate.One of the button (to adjust down the time) does not work.I am disappointed.

Fantastic movie and series for children of any age!!
The entire LBT series, and this movie in particular, deals with issues that all kids, parents and families are faced with on a daily basis (love, friendship, trust, just to name a few).The family issues include single parenting and adoption (both touch my family) and it is a great way for my son to learn that each family is different.In this particular movie, Littlefoot and his friends are dealing with "bullies" and it is a perfect chance for parents and children to discuss how to deal with other children who may not be as nice as they are.My son, who is almost 5, names all dinosaurs after the LBT characters, we have the CD playing in the car most of the time and he watches both of the Singa-a-Long tapes constantly.I know he learns something new each time he watches one of the movies because of the discussions we have.I cannot praise this series enough!!

The Time of Great Confusion
I couldn't understand if they were speaking language or else not. Sometimes I lay awake at night and wonder if this is how those graceful creatures spoke to each other. Although this movie was a bit too artsy for me, I still thought it was pretty good even though I couldn't understand what they were saying. Overall, this is my third favorite Land Before Time movie, only the seventh and the ninth are much better. Littlefoot still rules the Jurassic Period.

Kids will enjoy it, but might get the wrong message...
I did not like this movie at all, and I have taken it out of our collection and put it in the trash. The only reason that I didn't like this movie is because of the bullies in it that pester Little Foot and his friends. It is negative, and have found my two year old son starting to act out some of the behaviours that the bullies do in this movie.

Not for kids under 6
My 6 and 7 year old daughters really liked the movie. But my four year old is waking up every night now having nightmares about T-Rex hunting her. Those T-Rex were too realistic. If the movie had been rated PG my rating would have been higher. So please be careful with your little ones. Kids under 6 can not distinguish between fiction and reality!!!

More like a conversation.............
I am 13 and I own 1-8 of the series. As you have seen in my other reviews, I kept saying that the 7th one was the best. That's because it is true! Sure, the first one was nice, but very intense and Cera was really stupid in the first one. I liked the song in the credits. I am glad universal had one of Dianna Ross's songs in the first one. I used to love Chomper! I still think he's adorable, but I don't enjoy him as much.

I really like this movie because of the great lesson it teaches, and it is hillarious!!It starts when a herd of "Longnecks" come to the Great Valley to tell of some news of some strange weather changes in different places not far from the Great Valley. The wandering Longnecks call it the,"The Land of Mists."Everybody in the Great Valley is not too upset, I mean, why would there be any reason for them to go to a place like that? Right? WRONG!Littlefoot's Grandpa suddenly becomes ill, and his one and only hope is to eat the petals of a golden flower that grows only in, "The Land of Mists!"So Littlefoot, Ducky,Cera,Petrie,Spike and a new comer Ali journey to "The Mists" to find the petals of the Golden Night flower. Best I've Seen
A six year old's review.
Cheezy for adults, but great for kids
My two year old son loves this movie. He wants to watch it all day long. He really gets into it, and loves the songs, as well as the characters. The colors are better than in the original Land Before Time movie, but the story line lacks a little. I found the characters to be good. I still have a problem with "sarah," as she is a whiny little snot most of the time. Just like in the original. Anyway, your kids will love this. Yes, to us adults it is cheezy, and predictable, but it wasn't made for adults. Your kids will love it. Heck, I am a cop, and I have found myself whistling some of the songs while on duty.

Great songs in this one!
My son, now three, loves this series beyond all others.This one in particular, due to the songs.'Big Water' is one of those songs that he will just start singing, out of the blue, weeks after the last time he viewed the movie.Good stuff.As with all movies, watch with your kids.This one has some name-calling dialogue in it that I always point out as inappropriate.

This one is my kids' favorite of the series
We own probably 8-9 of the Land Before Time series and without question this is the volume that my 3 year old boy will play the most often.His older cousin's mom told me this was her daughter's favorite also.I think kids like the character, Doc, a "long neck" with a John Wayne attitude.The young dinosaurs believe that Doc may be the legendary long neck who long ago defeated a T-Rex and saved the other dinosaurs in the valley.Kids also seem to like the songs in this movie, which are definitely a step up from many of the others.If you're looking to only get a couple from the series, I would recommend the first movie and this one.

The small-fry dinosaur friends are back for their ninth outing in this 77-minute movie, but this time they're not the littlest creatures in the Great Valley. A herd of miniature dinos is discovered when Little Foot tries to sneak some "tree sweets," but falls into the tree instead, knocking down all the blossoms. This gives the tiny herd easy access to the food, which they quickly devour and disappear. ABSOLOUTELY ADORABLE!!!!!
This is the cutest film I have ever seen! The animation is beautiful, the songs are great and the little "long necks" are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cute!!!!!

I have to admit, after seeing the 8th one, the movies started to get BAD!!!!!!!
relatively mean-spirited
We own all the Land Before Time videos, and I was disappointed in this one. Although the tiny dinosaurs are cute (and so is Cera's dad's girlfriend), the characters are either mean-spirited, dumb or ineffectual. Littlefoot and Cera are shown to be spiteful, Cera's dad is a raging, lying bully and Grampa has regressed from being a wise elder to being a weak and ignored character. The plot: Littlefoot feels inadequate for being short so he tries to eat the tree blossoms that Cera's dad guards fiercely. The tiny dinos come and eat what Littlefoot knocks down, Littlefoot lies to protect himself and Cera's dad organizes a posse to hunt and kill the little ones. The songs include references to eliminating others, how bad dads are, and other choice themes I'd rather not sing aloud with my 5 year old son. This is by far the worst of the lot. ... Read more

Take a stolen dinosaur skeleton and microfilm, throw in some sleuthingnannies and a Chinese secret agent, and let the adventure begin. This is alight, frothy family comedy that revolves around British Lord Southmere (DerekNimmo), who has smuggled a piece of microfilm containing "Lotus X" out of China.Once back in England, he is followed by Chinese spies. Lord Southmere escapesinto the Natural History Museum and hides the microfilm on a dinosaur skeleton.After doing so, he receives a rather nasty bump on the head that leaves himdazed. One of the funniest films of all time
On last viewing I noticed how one of the many running gags is the send-up of Nanny lore and wisdom. ("Nanny knows best - ring a bell?" Hnup Wan reminds Lord Southmere.) The script is excellent, and great British character actors fill minor roles (the home secretary! the detective team! the museum director!). Even Joan (Miss Marple) Hickson has a tiny non-speaking role. Main flaws are the cardboard and far too sunny Soho, and the casting of occidentals as Chinese with caricature accents and ridiculous eye make up. But somehow Peter Ustinov and Bernard Bresslaw (as Hnup Wan and his looming henchman) are essential. Enjoy!

Fun 70's Disney Comedy
One Of Our Dinasaurs Is Missing didn't quite enjoy the heights of success it was anticipated to by Disney. Its a shame as this is actually an enjoyable, fun comedy with a cast of stars that includes Peter Unistov, Helen Hayes, Derek Nimmo and Joan Sims, who was more famous for her appearances in the classic Carry On film series. A top secret formula is hidden by aristocrat Derek Nimmo inside the skeleton of a dinasaur at the natural History Museum in London. Peter Unistov is mildly amusing as a Chinese agent where as Helen Hayes and Joan Sims are leaders of a gang of unlikeley nannies that even Mary Poppins wouldn't join! Livening things up is a silly, though amusing car chase, lots of kung fu fighting and some flamboyantly over-the-top acting makes this an overly good and entertaining film thats defintley worth a look.

Hilarious
I watched this series religiously every Saturday morning when I was little. The baby cracked me up the most, though the rest of the family too has its very funny moments. I recommend this to anyone, young and old, who is looking for a cute, funny, and appropriate show to watch.

Lovable dinos in N.Y.
Steven Spielberg's 'We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story' is a story about a group of cute dinosaurs who is timetravelling to modern N.Y., where they befriend two kids, who falls in love with each other. Very cute
"We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story" is a sweet movie with very cute dinosaurs. Indeed, the dinosaurs are the best part of the movie, and kids will enjoy their antics more than the subplot, which involves two kids who join a horror circus. The two kids are romantically attracted to each other and the girl's flirting will make the audience want to gag. Besides this, the plot is easy enough for kids to follow, but most of the conversations are confusing. However, the dinosaurs really are very cute.

Less successful 1993 dinosaur film, but...
Lighthearted, easy-on-the-brain animated flick about dinosaurs coming "back" to visit NYC. Predictably (since this is animated stuff), they are friendly and an evil circus owner wants to exploit them. Kids fare should appeal to 2nd and 3rd graders, with fairly good animation and great voices. As for people older than nine, stick to Jurassic Park, a truly absorbing, much much more successful dinosaur film made the same year and directed by the producer of this one, Spielberg. ... Not One of Their Best
I usually love to show Eyewitness DVDs for my science classes. The kids enjoy them and they usually remain engaged. This video, however, did not keep my students interested for longer then 10 min. The graphics are very outdated and some of the information seemed pointless (comparision of dinos to building machinery). I realize they cannot have live shots, but the claymation was obviously far older then the dvd production. A few CGI scenes would have helped immensely.

Terrible
This video doesn't know what it wants to be -- it's written for adults but has graphics meant strictly for kids.As a result, kids will not be reached by the narration, and adults will find the animation and graphics silly.
Content and visuals don't seem to mesh well
This documentary about dinosaurs is a little too focused on making everything lively, and not focused enough on any particular target market, in my opinion.The narration by Martin Sheen seems to be mostly targeted at a more sophisticated audience, but the graphics are often more kid-oriented. Worse, while the name-and-vocabulary-laden narrative sounds very authoritative, it often makes sweeping generalizations or asserts theories about dinosaurs as though they were facts. I noticed this particularly in reference to assertions about the characteristics of various specific dinosaurs (and when statements are made that presume that all dinosaurs were very large animals, something we knew was false even ten years ago, when the film was made).

Another low budget masterpiece.What made this movie for me was the lead females, all very attractive, all very naked.I first saw this as a young lad, and unable to find more graphic presentations of lovely women, I enjoyed this immensely.There is some softcore sex though, so be warned.

this is possibly the best movie ever...good story line...good action and most importantly soft porn what more could you ask for, the only thing that could top it is actual porn. i mean some nice puntang would be nice. but the best part of this movie is the pointless but nesecary bouncing in the stream and washing eachothers boobs....what a great movie you should buy it!

It needs to be a campy porn movie.
First of all, we need penetration in the sex scenes. Showing simulated sex just does not do it anymore. Who care's if they get an x-rating. Hasn't anyone ever thought of having a good plot with the sex before.
