I love this concert
It's all of the good things that others have said but the one thing that struck me most while watching it (shortly after 9/11) was the irony at the end of the song "We Shall Be Free", when a huge banner with the word "Freedom" was unrolled between the 2 World Trade buildings.It still gives me chills.

Have you ever seen a grown man cry?
In Central Park, as in all his concerts, Garth Brooks proves himself to be just as fragile as he is strong with the rare talent of being able to let the music possess and take over his anima while connecting with the audience at once. As always, he willingly lends center stage to his guests including Don McLean,Billy Joel, and even his fiddle player Jimmy Mattingly. As an audience member watching from my TV screen, I sure felt like I was there live watching from the front row with eyes in total awe because of Brooks' engaging and energetic demeanor.

The Highwaymen-Willie, Waylon, Cash & Kris
It's an excellent view of past country stars and their rise to fame.It is one of the best tapes especially since the famous Johnny Cash is no longer with us.It's an excellent tribute to him.

Dream Concert
If I could give this a higher rating it would be ten stars.
The closest thing to the Highwaymen at the Patriot Center June 10, 1995
Written by Stuart Borris - Do not confuse this group with the original Highwaymen folk group, because the 4 guys that make up these Highwaymen are much different than the men who first used the name. These are 4 legends who came together to give real back bone to the name Highwaymen and this tape is a solid introduction to that.To say this item is great is like saying the Pacific Ocean has a lot of water. If you appreciate the roots of country music, there is nothing better than Waylon, Johnny, Willie and Kris on stage at the same time working together? In this presentation, you see 4 legends coming together to make a rare combonation. These guys created something so special it can not be matched. The closest thing to them might be the Rat Pack or maybe if BB King, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen and Neil Diamond came together, recorded and performed on stage together. That is a tall tall order but the Highwaymen are all that and have made their mark for many generations to follow. I had the fortune of seeing these guys in person at the Patriot Center Fairfax, Virginia on June 10, 1995. Even though I had always liked Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings, my friend Eric had to talk me into going to this show. It was at a time when I was more into Hootie and the Blowfish and Collective Soul. Even though I wasn't excited when I came in, I came out of that show a real fan of the Highwaymen and an even bigger fan Cash and Jennings. It was my one and only opportunity of seeing them because they never returned to the Washington DC area again. I wish I had known how good they were, for I would have surely seen them multiple times. Even though there will never be another opportunity for me to see them live again as Cash and Jennings have passed away, the footage here makes it possible for me to see them again and again and again and again and again and again and again. The presentation does a near perfect job at showing their legendary presence on stage and incredible musical ability on stage. Along with that, it also provides an inside look at their relationship together through interviews and by the stories they tell. Afterall, not only are they performers, they are also emotional storytellers as well. As a result you will get a real feel of what the Highwaymen were about from this. Tear Jerker!!!
Ok, for any fan of the Judds or Wynonna...this video is a MUST!!!Not only does it include about a million of the Judd's greatest hits, but it is a tear jerker!!!You really see the raw emotion that not many stars let themselves show.By the last song I was crying along with Wynonna and Naomi.As a HUGE fan of Wynonna I really recommend this to country music lovers!!Not only will you cry, but you are gaurenteed to laugh at the sense of humor the duo has!I hope they continue to make great music because I LOVE THE JUDD'S. They are the best!!!!!

True Talent is Sometimes NOT Recognized!

hilarious
Classics indeed! This was a hilarious collection of Ray Stevens's videos including "The Streak," "Santa Claus is Watching You," "Mississippi Squirrel revival," and "Everything is Beautiful." If you like Ray Stevens, you will love this collection. I loved it. Yeah, I did.

Good Ol' Boy Humor!
Yeah, Good Ol' Boy humor....and we all know just how funny that is! I spent some time...many times... in the Deep South, NOT laughing at the wit of truckers and farm boys, and that this dvd is not even mildly amusing comes as no surprise. Ray Stevens always had to dub a laugh track on his records so that they would give the listener the impression that they are funny. In reality, while they are kinda cute and predictable, they barely raise a smile. The songs are poppy and listenable though and he probably is a nice enough guy. Good learning tape
I got this about 5 years ago and found it to be very helpful to learn the basic line dances. I wish she would it out on dvd! I had put it away for a few years and was going through my stuff the other night and found it and got the line dance fever again! After Sidney Poitier proved himself time and again as one of the more accomplished actors of his time in such dramatic films as A Raisin in the Sun (1961), In the Heat of the Night (1967), and Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (1967), he tried his hand at comedies, which he not only directed, but also starred in with funny man Bill Cosby, who, at the time, established himself in television series like "I Spy", "The Bill Cosby Show", and "Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids". The result was a trio of films, this one titled Uptown Saturday Night (1974) being the first (and most popular), with Let's Do It Again (1975) and A Piece of the Action (1977) to follow. a dazzling show
Reba McEntire is extraordinary in this show that includes 12 songs, lots of costume changes, a couple of comedy skits, and an example of polished showmanship.
Reba The Entertainer
When you hear Reba sing on an album, you can hear the emotion in her voice. There is nothing like her, the way she brings a song to life. On tour though, her songs come to life. Visually you receieve another perspective on the song. This is a showcase of Reba's excellent talent as a singer/entertainer. A must have.

A Wonderful Video
This is possibly my favorite of all Daniel O'Donnell's many videos/DVDs, and I have many. It showcases some of the very best loved songs that he does in concert, and if you've never had the privilege of seeing him in person (poor you) this video is the next best thing. It is well produced and the photography etc. is great, but it is a performance that is unforgettable, and will leave you wanting more. And thank goodness, there are more videos/DVDs to get!! A great buy, well worth the cost her at Amazon!!

I started watching Daniel about a year ago. I enjoyed all his shows on pbs.I ordered from amazon most of his cd's and videos, plus pledging to PBS to get a few of his items.I especially liked when he did the Rockin' Roll show.He has such a wonderful talent.When he sings, he sounds like the original artists, and not much of the Irish Brogue.He's a year younger then I am, and he moves better then I do.lol. Pls everyone I truly recommend that you get any of Daniel's Music.Keep it up Daniel.

Daniel O'Donnell - Christmas With Daniel
The music was traditional Christmas and vintage Daniel.The description on site stated October 2003 but in fact was a "repackaging" of his DVD from 1996 (not indicated in product information).Scenery is beautiful, the action is fast paced, and that is to be expected from a much younger Daniel.His Christmas CD is a better buy.

Excellent live country music
This is probably the best documentary on (women's) country music that I have seen! It is a must to own! The women look sensational! They have the looks and they have the voice! It is available on DVD at Amazon.co.uk for those who want it on DVD format.

Outstanding concert video.
This concert video is also a documentary of women in the evolution of country music.The focus on the present and its links to the past are outstanding.The interspersing of history with the actual concert is verywell done and the overall impact, at least on this viewer, wasoverwhelming.I am not ordinarily a country music fan, but found thisdocumentary enjoyable and inspiring.I watch it over and over.My onlycriticism is the marketing trick of placing on two VHS tapes a presentationthat could have been easily placed on one.The artists on this video andthe message is better than the packaging. ... Once in a Lifetime Gathering of Country Queens
This program deserves ten stars but this tape is getting only four because this two-hour CBS special from 1993 has been cut in half and issued on two separate tapes.Way better than the recent A&E documentary HAIRDOS AND HEARTACHES on the same subject (women in country music history) in part because so many more singers from all eras are interviewed here and this one features music performances performed especially for the show including an awesome all-star performance of Mary Chapin Carpenter's "The Hard Way" sung by Carpenter, Wynona, Trisha Yearwood, Tammy Wynette, Emmylou Harris, Kathy Mattea, Pam Tillis, and others and including backup chorus of dozens of historic country divas including Kitty Wells, Patsy Montana, Skeeter Davis, Connie Smith, Jeannie C. Riley, Lynn Anderson, Wanda Jackson, and many others.Here's hoping this program will find it's way to DVD in full - and hopefully with many extras.
