Where is the DVD version?
Apparently, a lucrative enough deal has not been made to bring Two Fat Ladies to DVD. If there is demand for any product, you can rest assured that it will be available sometime....... two fat ladies
Good video,just love these gals,they dont cook like the average tv chef,Real homestyle cooking.Very hearty and fattening.But you only live once,and if you dont live life to its fullest extent you have an eternity to regret it.Unfortunately jennifer passed away.But several videos are available for you to purchase.We will all miss her very much"Great video,enjoy"

This video is priceless!In an age when we all are watching our fat intake and waistlines, Jennifer and Clarissa fearlessly take on the forbidden art of cream, butter and wine.Besides their delicious dishes,they shamelessly will entertain a fine wine and cigarette after a day ofcooking, something you NEVER see anymore.Bless their hearts.I missJennifer already.

Unapologetic indulgence
As a former and sometimes still practicing quasi-vegetarian,well aware of chloresterol, red meat and warnings of possible negativeconsequences, I can't help but think that the sheer joy of cooking which comes across from Jennifer and Clarissa in these and their other videos, can only increase my life expectancy! I became addicted to their shows the first time I happened to be in New York and have since done my best to obtain as many videos and books as possible. With a former British upbringing I fully appreciate their humour and cutting sarcastic remarks about 'polystyrene board' alias supermarket chicken (Episode on 'Game') or in the same episode Clarissa's impersonation of a microwave oven and lamentations over the younger generations' missing out on being brought up with the aromas of real cooking. Although I am not a cook by profession, I am more than aware of and acknowledge that there are many excellent books/videos around by talented chefs. But in the case of 2 fat ladies as becomes so obvious in the first few minutes of the videos, they are more than just cooking. We hear nursery rhymes in Latin in the episode on meat, accounts of Catherine de Medici and how she nearly died from an overdose of artichokes on her wedding day as the they prepare lunch for the priests of Westminster Cathedral in the absence of the Portuguese nuns and hear vivid descriptions of the habits of pheasants which I won't go into details about here. I bought the set of videos not knowing exactly what to expect, I owned their cookbooks and had seen them on various television shows. The Host is absolutely darling!
The previous 2 reviewers have already given much valuable information on this video.I would like to add that Helen Corey is absolutely charming and looks like she's having so much fun in the kitchen.I have afavorite Lebanese restaurant that I drive over 100 miles to visit, andalways wanted to know how to make that fabulous food, but everything lookedso complicated.I love to cook, but I don't like to spend hours in thekitchen.Helen Corey makes each of these recipes look quite simple.Ifelt much less intimidated by my cookbook recipes after being able toliterally see her going through the steps of each recipe.It was likebeing in the kitchen with a friend and seeing each new recipe from start tofinish.This is a wonderful video.

I've had Helen Corey's The Art of Syrian Cookery cookbook and Food from Biblical Lands which are my proud possessions. A friend presented me with Helen's newest video cooking tape and I'm so pleased with it. In myopinion, it should be on the food network.She gives every detail tobuying, preparation, tips and techniques that answer any questions youmight have in preparing Middle Eastern foods. Very informative and enjoyable program...
I saw this video at my local Big Lots store for a dollar so I decided to pick it up as it was one I had always been curious to see.In this 40 minute program, Susan Powter will show you how to get rid of unhealthy items in your kitchen, shop for healthy low fat choices, and shows you examples of typical meals and low fat substitutions you can prepare.

Wow. Make those guests smile like crazy.
At first I wasn't sure it would be that easy or that my company would be all that impressed but the more you think about it the more simple yet unforgettable it is. I would recommend this in a big way to anyone who evermakes anything like a buffet or just about any meal for a lot of guests. Ittook just a few minutes and even thought you may think it could have been abit fancier my guests just couldn't get over it. A bunch of easy to makestuff that I've never seen before. Very flexable and easy to makesubstituions or revise.

I love to entertain my friends and family.There is so much more to a great dining experience than just the fantastic food.I am great with the cooking part of the program, but I have never been artistic in the least. Chef Ted has changed all that for me.Now my guests enjoy delicious mealsaccented with beautiful centerpieces.Each of these centerpieces is easyto make in your own kitchen with the things you probably already have onhand.That is something else I love about this video...you don't have tohave the 300 piece kitchen utensil set and you don't have to fly to Guam tobuy the fruits and vegetables.Everyone can make most of these with itemson hand (he even makes suggestions for substitutions)!This is not one ofthose "the only right way is MY way" videos...I LOVE THAT!

Centerpieces by Chef Ted are really easy and cute.
Great for making any party food look good. It took me more than just six minutes for most of them but not a lot longer. They are surprisingly easy and the few my guests have seen have been great. They aren't complicated atall and definitely make it more personal and special than say flowers orsome store thing. Most of my guests thought I was a genius couldn't believeI really did these.I've bought some garnish books and even another tapebut they were all a lot more complicated and I think less impressive thanthis video. He talks and demo's each centerpiece through from beginning toend so it's real easy to follow along and pretty idiot proof. a bad grape
This tiresome attempt at comedy is remarkable for the career-changing comic performance delivered by the usually dour Joanna Cassidy. It's only a pity that she's playing Kay Kendall stuck in a film directed by Carol Wiseman in the style of a Jerry Lewis programmer. As "ugly Americans" holidaying in Paris, Cassidy and her daughter, Lara Flynn Boyle, both strike up affairs with their doctor, Guy Marchand, which involves lots of unfunny broad comedy with reaction cuts to the hotel doorman and concierge. Marchand rushes around looking foolish, with Wiseman undercutting any charm he presumably has by exposing his hairy back, and reinforcing the stereotype of Frenchmen as womanisers. In neither relationship is there any indication of sensations apart from sex, which may be Wiseman's take on feminism though her continued point scoring off both ladies soon humiliates all three. The film is loaded with a painfully cutesy score by Andre Georget, which practically dates it as Disney circa 1965, and Wiseman only provides one memorable romantic image of Flynn Boyle in a taxi in sepia tones. This role locates Flynn Boyle in her post-Twin Peaks Winona Ryder days and before she became the sleek tigress she thinks she is today. In spite of her brat character, she shows a flair for clever line readings on the few occasions Wiseman allows her. Presenting Flynn Boyle's pre-Paris boyfriend in naked full frontal is a surprise though Wiseman's having Cassidy drop cigarette ash on him, and then later having her shoot the penis off a statue, must be some kind of phallic revenge. As Cassidy's husband who we see in the early scenes and who later visits Paris, whilst having practically nothing to work with, Paul Freeman is likeable. ... Read more

Great charm and great cooking
This is a delight.No stuffy studio kitchens here; we are transported into the homes of real people who show us the step-by-step methods of creating superb food. The only problem with this video is that it is too short.Bring on the sequel ! Whether or not you are Jewish, there is a lot to learn about cooking traditional and delicious food. Great wine video, as good as it gets!
Personally, I think Jancis Robinson is great. There is more information about the worlds wine regions packed into this set than you could probably find in all the videos ever made on wine. She has a knack for interviewing the right people and asking the right questions. It's a great video for novice or expert. I loved it

It's amazing to watch Michael Broadbent at a youger age. Jancis is a young women with her same old great "Brit Wit". The video is not only entertaining, but there's 4 videos. What a bargain at todays values. She walks us through the world of wine, auctions, producers, and many other related wine events.
