I LOVE this movie!
What I'd like to know is WHY ISN'T IT ON DVD YET?I see all kinds of stupid movies, old movies, boring movies coming out all the time.Why does it take so long for the good ones to come out?I don't get it.If it ever does come out on DVD I would highly recommend that you watch it--you will not be disappointed!I rank it up there with my other favorite movies like A&E's Pride & Prejudice, Persuasion, Jane Eyre, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Sound of Music, First Churchills, Meet me in St. Louis, Anne of Green Gables, well, you get the picture.Those are all different categories than Enchanted April, but it is one of the greats in my opinion!

Eddie's Greatest Stand-up
Back in 1985 when my parents first got a VCR, the first tape they gave us was something a friend of theirs dubbed with Eddie Murphy Delirious, Purple Rain and the making of Thriller on it.They had no idea that 2/3 of the tape was inappropriate for children and we watched it many times before they discovered.I will always remember laughing till I cried about Aunt Bunny falling down the stairs, the ice cream song and Eddie imitating Richard Pryor while saying "Have a coke and a smile and shut the @#%* up!"

golf life as it used to be
As a former tour player now out of the game, this film captures alot of what the PGA tour used to be.The race to "Monday Qualifiers" by what we were referred to as "rabbits" was filled with alot of the shenanigans this movie portrays. I'm sure the PGA wasn't especially thrilled with the movie, but this system produced greats like Trevino, Rodriguez, and many more.Would love to see this movie out in DVD (haven't owned a VCR in years)soon!As per other reviews, B movie with great content and storyline. Would by 10 DVD's for gifts for my golfing buddies!

This movie has You've Got Mail and Sleepless in Seattle beat, without a doubt. (While You've Got Mail was fine, Sleepless in Seattle was rather contrived, with wall-to-wall romantic music, which for me made it not at all appealing, as much as I like Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks.)

I laugh just thinking about Harry and the Hendersons...
Harry and the Hendersons is such a funny movie; I hope that it comes out on dvd soon. I've rented it several times on VHS in the past, and I never picked up on the negatives that "Mother Hen" mentioned.I guess that I was too busy laughing.I do have one thing to say about "Mother Hen", though.She does have a right to express her opinion about any movie, and if she feels the way that she does about Harry and the Hendersons, then so be it.There are no doubt some others out there that would appreciate her point of view.When my son was little, I may very well have felt the same way, who knows?

You hairy little bed-stealer! This needs to be DVD-released NOW!!!
Rocket Man is another favorite of mine. Recently, UPN teased us by showing it on TV. Got my hopes up that the next time I was at Best Buy or any other DVD retailer that I would finally get my hands on this gem. But no. PLEASE IN THE NAME OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, RELEASE THIS ON DVD! To anyone curious about viewing this movie, it's great fun and shouldn't be missed. Harland Williams is absolutely hilarious as a computer whiz who winds up getting sent on a mission to Mars. It's a Disney movie so prepare for a tidy ending as usual, but you'll be laughing the whole way through this journey, especially once they are on Mars. I don't want to give away any more and spoil it for you all, but if you think Williams is funny in Half Baked or even in his bit part as the serial killer in There's Something About Mary just to name a few, he's an absolute riot in this. For now, you'll have to rent/buy on VHS, but let's hope that this makes its way onto DVD soon!

Finding Nemo is a great "catch" for the whole family
Pixar Studios have done it again. I have to say that these guys are totally good in computer animation, as well as in storytelling. Rarely do those qualities come together but here they are, delivering unto the audience once again something that one can only be drowned with wonder. Such is the marvel of Finding Nemo.

First hand delight from second hand lions
I missed this movie in the theaters so when it bacame available to rent my wife and I decided to give it a try.What a delight, I envy anyone seeing this film for the first time.From the wonderful cast, Caine, Duvall, and Osment are in their peak form; to the fine direction and the beautiful cinematography the film is a true treasure.After watching it we immediately bought several DVD's and gave them as gifts to family members and friends. A wonderful mix of coming of age, adventure, and just genuine good fun this is a must see film.

Great Film and Worth the Purchase
This is a great DVD that our son loves to watch. I don't think it is as good as the original but sequels rarely are. It's certainly worth the purchase and has a lot of extras on the disc. I have seen it less expensive in other stores however.

Buzz & Woody Are Back
Yes it's true and people didn't think it could be done, Buzz & Woody back for a second adventure. In this film Woody finds out the real reason why he was made, he was a character on a TV show and Woody is one of the last remaining dolls made for that TV show.
Excellent pick for all
Toy Story 2 is just as good as (or even better than) Toy Story 1.Great animation, very funny and teaches valuable lessons without the sadness.Some of the animated movies have scenes that are hard to watch, for example the opening scene in Finding Nemo or the beginning of Tarzan.My son watches those scenes in horror (and so do I).Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 1 have such an original storyline that is so endearing, and it is such a well rounded movie that it is an excellent pick for all.I also like the fact that the toys don't sing and dance as in most animated movies, and yet the music is excellent.I particularly love the song (composer: Randy Newman) when Buzz realizes he is just a toy and can't fly and tries to fly out the window.Me and my son play along to that part! ... Classic movie
I saw and enjoyed this classic George C. Scott when I was in the Navy and a motion picture operator on one of navy's submarines many years ago. I can recall being asked to run the destruct the town reel over and over by all hands. Great VHS movie but should be on DVD!

C'mon when are these people going to wise up and release this fantastic movie on DVD.

I bought a DVD player because of this release...
I am really sorry that this version of Yellow Submarine has gone out of print.When it came out in 1999, I had not yet purchased a DVD player, but I did immediately buy the VHS version.It was so wonderful, SO wonderful, and I read so many great reviews about the DVD, that I went out and bought the DVD, before I had a DVD player.Then not only did I buy a DVD player but also a new Kenwood receiver so I could get all the benefits of the surround sound.That's how crazy I was.The really crazy thing is, it was worth every penny.Plus it spoiled me.I expected every DVD release to show the same care and quality that Yellow Submarine did.The care that they lavished upon all aspects of this release, the video quality, the INCREDIBLE AUDIO QUALITY and the wonderful extras, are amplified by the horrible job that Miramax did on A Hard Day's Night.It's a shame that Apple could not was not able to get control of that.What a disgrace Miramax made of a classic.Makes me wonder what is happening with HELP!, Magical Mystery Tour and Let It Be.I pray daily that Miramax isn't able to get their grubby little hands on anymore Beatle product.

One of The reason why Lucy got panned by the critics so Bad was, their were many critics that wantedMiss Angela Lansbury to play Mame in the movie version, although Angela Lansbury originated the role on B-way in 1966, she was past over for the movie role beacuse she had no star power at that time,Don't get me wrong she's a great star but Lucy's star Shines alot brighter the angela's.In 1974 the musicals were long out of fashion and people wanted more reality in their movies,thats another factor, plus the upset critics with their loss of angela not portraying mame, I think today we should give Mame another look with a little more appreciation toward Lucille Ball and to praise not criticize. Heres my vote for Mame on DVD.

Mame vs Auntie
Mame is a fantastic piece of campery, big productions, fab costumes and sets, witty one liners and Bea Arthur. Auntie Mame was one of the worst films I have ever had to sit through. Rosalind Russell shouts almost every line, in a vain attempt to steal every scene, and although it came first, it is an infinitely inferior piece of film-making when compared to the delight that is Mame. Just to counter all the negative reviews...the Duck is what it is.
I understand why someone who is looking for a great film would be disappointed.Howard the Duck is no Saving Private Ryan or English Patient.Thankfully not all films are or we'd be really bored.What Howard The Duck IS is entertaining.It's a guy in a duck suit...so what?It's pretty funny and refreshingly enjoyable to watch.It is a well made B-movie...so if you look at it on that level then it's a lot of fun.And it's not helpful to compare the film which is aimed at a young audience to the comic which was very adult.Two different things entirely...really, if there were enough fans of the comic (and I'm one) then there would be a new, adult version of Howard.I don't see that happening.So enjoy the film for what it is.I hope the DVD does it justice.

Now people we need to get over it.
If nothing else this should be released on DVD as a "B-Movie cult classic" Now I'm not going to say it should have won an Oscar but for goodness sake this movie is fun if nothing else...come on it had a naked duck with nipples.That's pretty cool...You know Lucas is just making us sweat and will bust out a CG Howard before you know it. ... This movie is so bad it's good. And I don't mean Gone With the Wind good.More like Showgirls.Sleazy, preposterous, but a heck of a lot of fun.Don't take it seriously.Enjoy it for what it is, trashy, stupid, fun.

This Movie is Low-grade Porn.
I purchased the movie only because I was captivated by the cover's depiction of interracial couples.The story line is slow and wonders-a-long without any hint of a plot, but I found the historical setting to be splendid.The depiction of plantation life in Antebellum Louisiana or rather Southern Society in general is intriguing if not entertaining, but can hardly be called accurate.When viewing this film keep in mind that it is merely for entertainment purposes and NOT historical documentation.I gave this film 5 stars for the historical setting, because I felt the period was depicted quite well and had believable characters, even though Southern Society was somewhat exaggerated in its depiction.

A delightful comedy for all ages
Veteran actor James Mason's "straight man Maxwell" to Ken Norton's "boiled man Mede" is a highlight of one of the most entertaining comedies of the past few decades.

The only soundtrack is GERMAN
This is a movie I like a lot, but I am giving this version only 2 stars as a warning to other customers.Look closely at the details of the movie, under Language it only mentions German.Other Region 2 movies I have purchased that are American movies have always included an English soundtrack, but not this one.You can only watch the movie with German voices dubbed over the regular voices.It doesn't even have English subtitles.I still gave it 2 stars because you don't have to speak German to enjoy the exciting Rollerblade race at the end of the movie.

you can find the dvd of this movie at amazon.de but i dont know german and you would have to have an all region dvd player or use a computer to play it on.i have bought rocketman on dvd(another dvd not released in usa) from amazon.uk before and they shipped it overseas to me no problem.must learn german.jack black at his finest.
