Editorial Review

"If you rest, you rust!" Denise Austin warns, and then she makes sure we neither rest nor rust with this high-intensity, aerobic kickboxing workout. "I want to see those muscles, yeah!" she calls out. "You've got 'em, use 'em!" This video starts with experienced kickboxers demonstrating the moves that will be used. Then it powers into two different, high-energy, 20-minute workouts. Austin calls the first workout "beginning." It's easier than the second, yes, and it may be basic as far as kickboxing goes, but it's anything but wimpy. If you're new to exercise or overweight, the many high-impact moves (lots of jumping rope and jumping jacks) might not be appropriate for you, and no one shows modifications. If the first workout is enough for you, you get a relaxing stretch and can stop the video. If it's not, continue with the "drills" workout (or you can start here once you've mastered the basics--Austin starts with a second warm-up). This segment builds on the moves you've learned, with more challenging combinations. If you're not an Austin fan, you may find her incessant talking annoying. Get past that, and this is great aerobic conditioning, muscle strengthening, and fun besides. Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars You can do better...
As far as Denise Austin is concerned, this is probably the worst tape by her that I've come across (and I've tried quite a few of them!) She's quite obnoxious here, more so than she usually is, and is constantly shouting annoyingly lame phrases like "if you rest, you rust!" or "if you don't squeeze it (your [...]) no one else will!". Plus, the tape just screams cheesiness, b/c they start the workout using the "rocky" theme song. I literally winced when I first heard it, thinking "you've got to be kidding me..."
5-0 out of 5 stars Results!
Maybe I just have really high tolerance of supposed annoying people, but I LOVE Denise Austin. Her chants such as "You can do it!" and "Its worth it!" are fun to listen to and create a positive enviroment. This tape, although its hard and makes my calfs burn, is the one that gets me results fast! Within two sessions, I notice a difference. Ive tried the gym, Ive tried dancing at home, Ive tried running and somehow I always resort back to this tape. This one and her Fat Blasting Yoga DVD are incredible. Her cueing isnt the best, but its easy to catch on. I love Denise Austin, she's the only fitness instructor that I like listening to and watching. And Ive got great abs thanks to her!

3-0 out of 5 stars Not her best work.......
Well, this video was very drabby to me. It's kinda gray and black and there's not much vibrance to it. Denise can be inspiring at times but on this video she was mostly annoying with her, "yes, punch it, yes, come on, yes, that's it". If you close your eyes to this video, at times you may think your watching a "different" type of video. It was a bit over the top with her remarks. I do not think this is a begginer video at all. The back up work out people behind her looked rather clumbsey and asleep, missing que's and moving the wrong way, or off beat. Some of them even looked like begginers. I give it 3 stars because although it did get my heart pumping at times, it was not worth more then 3 dollars. ... Read more

This 1997 beginning-level, interval-training workout alternatesintervals of 3-1/2 minutes of aerobic exercise with 1-1/2 minutes of strengthtraining, so your heart rate stays elevated for a total of 31 minutes. Theaerobic segments are simple steps, repeated frequently. Some are high-impact(jumping and jogging), and although Austin has two assistants, neitherdemonstrates low-impact alternatives, which would have given beginning andoverweight exercisers more options. The strength segments also could have beendesigned better. The first strength interval works the shoulder muscles, whichare small (especially in women) and fatigue easily, so they are thereforeusually worked later in a workout. Another exercise that Austin says targets thechest really doesn't, because it's done standing where gravity puts more of theload on the shoulders again. The shoulders get their third interval later on, soyour shoulders are likely to be tired, while the larger muscles of your chestand back get minimal work. After the interval workout, Austin does eight minutesof standing leg exercises and abs, and finally a stretch. Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Too hard to follow...
I never got the hang of this, it was hard on my knees, and the music, although popular oldies from the 70s and 80s, was done by singers/groups other than the originals, so they didn't sound as good. I realize this may be for legal reasons, but then I couldn't keep up anyway. The worst Denise Austin workout since "The Complete Workout", which was bad enough.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not as impressed as I hoped to be
I purchased this video after reading reviews from other buyers.I was not as impressed as they were.Denise and the two backup workout people often become out of sync during the video - so you really need to pick one person and stick with them rather than watching anyone else or it throws you off.The cues are not timed very well so I had to watch the video more than once in order to keep up.The music did nothing for me.I agree that I ended up with a good workout.I was sweating at the end and I am sure I burned calories - but it is not going to be my favorite workout.I prefer the circuit workout Cathy Smith has out - much better coordinated and you get the same workout (in a little less time).

3-0 out of 5 stars Good workout, but a little hard on the joints
The only reason I'm giving this three stars is that this video is not for those who might have trouble with their joints.I have knee problems and found this workout really aggravated my knees and my back.I didn't feel really good as I usually do after a workout.I will say that the Ab portion of the video is excellent and that the entire video would be good for someone who does not have a problem jumping around.I don't find Denise Austin annoying - she looks wonderful and I'm sure she's doing her best to be encouraging.I purchased this video, Hit the Spot Abs, and Hit the Spot Thighs as a package deal and I must say the Hit the Spot Abs is also very good.I haven't tried the Hit the Spot Thighs yet. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars First thing every morning!
I really love this video.Ann Smith is such an inspiration in showing that just because a person is middle aged or older doesn't mean they can't still be flexible. I do this video every morning when I first get up. It only takes 3 minutes a day and it helps me get all those little "kinks" out. Well worth the time.

5-0 out of 5 stars Active Stretch
Physical fitness is not just for the "young and beautiful" as Ann Smith ably demonstrates to her video audience. She performs each of the seven stretches with enviable grace and flexibility. I told my spouse, "If that old woman can do it, then so can I"; he thought that would be a good name for the tape! Ann demonstrates each exercise twice - the first time she provides a voiceover describing what you're doing; the second time you do the same exact exercise (the same clip is shown twice) with no verbal cuing. I would like her to talk a little more about form as you're doing the exercises; visual imagery helps me figure out what I'm supposed to be doing and whether I'm doing it right or not. I also wish she would talk you through the second time as well, because when I'm twisting away from the screen or hanging down my head, I can't see what she's doing, and I either fall behind her or worry that I will. Even though these are very short stretch exercises meant to be done each morning, it also works to combine them all for a nice 20-minute stretch. And it feels great.

Editorial Review

"Just 10 minutes every other day!" is Denise Austin's prescription for a flat, defined midsection, and she should know. Despite two babies, she has the abs of a teenage athlete. In this video, Austin presents a gazillion abdominal exercises formatted into three different 10-minute workouts. She gives plenty of instruction, with tips for form, alignment, and breathing, as well as the proper way to perform each move. Exercises target the rectus abdominis and obliques, and are varied enough so that you won't feel you're doing the same workout each day. A few of the exercises seem outdated and are less effective than others. Full sit-ups, little pulsing crunches, and standing twists, for example, don't work the abs as well as regular, slow crunches. And some of the exercises in the third segment could be stressful to your lower back if you don't already have strong abs. But Austin still gets credit for plenty of variety, which is what we want if we're committing ourselves to 10 minutes of abs every other day. Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars great for after baby
This is the tape I used to tone up after having my baby.Ten minutes fly by and I saw results fast!It really worked for me!

5-0 out of 5 stars Super Results
This is a great tape. I am a 48 year old mom of 3, and still had that baby fat in my abdomen area from my last baby-now 13:). My stomach has always been a problem area since high school.Denise is encouraging, informative, and a pleasure to do these exercises with.I have been doing my own absexercies for over a year - not real good results, and as she states in thisvideo - you will see results in 6 weeks. That is where I am at this point, and waited to write this to see if it was true.I enjoy this tape so muchI am doing it twice a day now.I highly recommend this tape to anyonewanting to tone up the abs and waist.I do all three of the segments, asshe makes it fun, with very good directions, and tips. It has really helpedmy self esteem, and my feelings about my body.Thank you Denise! Sowonderful to be getting back into shape. Go for it!

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT VIDEO-- even for the inexperienced
Trust me, you will feel the burn after doing this one...I started using it with my roommates, and it is great! You can't talk yourself out of doing it because it is only 10 minutes. After doing it regularly (andseeing results), we stepped up to the second and third levels, sometimesdoing two together for a serious workout!Denise has a great attitude (sheis so bubbly that she can make you laugh sometimes, which is hard to doduring an ab video), and she really shows you how to do the moves correctlyfor maximum effectiveness. You DON'T have to do 500 situps a night forgreat abs-- you can let Denise Austin help you get them in 10 minutes aday.I run this tape into the ground and never get sick of it! ... Editorial Review

You get two 25-minute workouts here: both are low-impact, aerobic routines alternating with intervals of lower-body muscle work using the body's resistance, no weights. The aerobic segments are taught by Fonda and two other instructors. The choreography is simple--nothing more complicated than step-touch, grapevine, heel digs, marches, and hamstring curls--and each move is repeated many times. If you like choreography challenges, this video won't hold your interest, but if you like to keep your choreography simple, or if you're a beginner to aerobic dance, you'll be at ease here. The intervals of lower-body training, taught by Fonda, include moves such as stationary lunges, squats (without weights), and standing leg lifts. Both workouts end with abdominals and a stretch. This video is suitable for beginners. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Abs, Buns & Thighs
i can see where this dvd would not be challenging for someone who prefers advanced workouts. the steps are easy (once learned) so if you are looking for major challenge then look elsewhere. i on the otherhand have never participated in aerobic excercises until over a month ago when i purchased this dvd. i was looking to tone up my legs which i find is exactly what is happening. i started by alternating both segments for the first 3 weeks, then i combined both workouts in one day to provide me with a 50 minute workout. I follow the high intesity level for the most part. it gets me a bit breathless and does break me into a sweat by the second workout. the toning segments are intense and for the first couple of weeks i was sore - but now, i feel the difference - i can still feel "the burn", but am growing stronger. eventually i will alternate this with something a bit more challenging but do plan on continuing it for the calorie burning benefits.

3-0 out of 5 stars I was disatisfied.
This video is supposed to contain excercises to sculpt your abdominals, buns, and thighs, the problem is they spend little time doing exackly that! They spend half of each 25 minute workout doing stupid aerobics, that hardly raise your heart rate, and don't make you sweat. The thigh work is fairly good. The buns are worked once and way too fast. This videois not good for sculpting your abs at all, they do that way too fast, and last thing.Overally, this video is not for sculpting your abs,or buns. if you want a good lower body video, try Jane Fonda's Lower Body Solution, stay away from this one.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very good!
This video includes two 20 minute workouts which combine aerobics with toning segments. This is one of Jane Fonda's best videos. Jane gives good instruction, and the other two instructers are just as motivating! Low enough impact for beginners, and challenging enough for intermediates. The choreography is simple to follow and the music keeps you motivated! This workout is great for those who don't have much time to exercise! ... Read more

Editorial Review

You get three different workouts in this video. Each is 20 exercise-packed minutes long, so if you're short on time, do just one of them. They all come complete with warm-up, workout, and cool-down, but are very different. "Circuit Toning" is a muscle-endurance workout using light weights while continuing to move quickly enough to keep your heart rate up for aerobic conditioning and calorie burning. Sometimes you're doing two moves at once--squats and triceps, for example; other times you concentrate on one muscle group. (You use only one set of weights, so your large muscles won't feel these as much as the small muscles.) Instructor Donna Richardson also includes some innovative standing lower-body exercises. "Kick and Jab" gives you a taste of the popular kickbox aerobics with high-energy rounds of kickboxing alternating with punching and kicking. It's helpful if you've already taken some box-aerobics classes, because Richardson moves quickly into complicated combinations. The "Dance Party" segment is a low-impact, funk-aerobics workout, with a Latin flair and plenty of dance moves, attitude, and what Richardson calls "flavor." Donna Richardson is an energetic, motivating instructor who cues well, moves well, looks great, and knows her stuff. Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Cardio Workout
Great cardio workout, but not for beginners who have no coordination. This DVD is good, but it does not offer a lot of introduction to knew moves. Also, the moves are executed too quickly and are not done for a long period of time. But I love the intensity. It really worked me through which is my goal.If I didn't get a move, I just kept moving.Overall, with more introduction and training of techniques prior to workout, this would be an excellent workout DVD.

2-0 out of 5 stars No workout here
This one was a huge disappointment. The cardio was funky but not fun, and won't do anything for your heartrate. The cuing is poor, especially with the kickboxing, where she just goes right into a move. The weight portion wasn't bad, but there are better tapes out there.I really regret buying this one.

3-0 out of 5 stars donna rocks
I really enjoy Donna Richardson's workout routines. She's fun, energetic and informative in her workouts. While I love this video, I'm not a huge advocate of the 3 section workouts being so brief and would prefer longer cardio sections. To get maximum benefits, I need to do two sections and fast-forward past the next warmup to get enough cardio in. The pros of this video is that these are no nonsense, 'get results' types of moves, which are executed in proper form. For a beginner this is an excellent video that is well rounded. By incorporating her 'dance aerobics', a nice cardio section that seems less like exercise and thereby makes it seems effortless, she makes this segment a fun fat burner. ... Read more

This video presents a full 100 minutes of Kathy Kaehler's workout programs and advice. Kaehler, trainer to the stars, presents several different workouts, accompanied by some of her celebrity trainees. Depending on your level and goals, you can mix and match. Beginning Step with Jamie Gertz is 20 minutes, consisting of a simple, repetitive step workout with plenty of instruction. The intermediate step section with Justin Bateman adds another 15 minutes and uses hand weights with choreography that works the muscles harder, but is almost as basic and repetitive as before. The advanced section with Julianne Phillips is another 15 minutes, with faster choreography, a weight vest as well as hand weights, and a higher step (you don't have to do all of these intensifiers at once). If you like varied choreography with challenging patterns, this video will bore you with its many, many repetitions of basic moves. But if your preference is for simple, repeated moves that burn fat and work the muscles effectively, Kaehler is a knowledgeable personal trainer.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Still the best!!!
I have bought dozens of tapes and dvds over the years, hoping that I could find something that is as useful and effective and fun as this. This tape is still the best. Great workout for beginners, and even great for the very fit. Motivates you to get to the next level. It's fun, since she's working with different actresses in every section, and you're joining in on their personal training session...listening to their conversation, good cueing, and wonderful music as well. I only wish that Kathy would make another one with the exact same format, but different music and actresses and change up a few routines. I would buy 30 of them!

5-0 out of 5 stars Adjustable to any fitness level
Now, I am not going to say to you that within the 12 years that I have used this tape that I continue to leave the sound up on it as I used to--I now use music of my own.(My sister and mother-in-law and I all have the tape and have memorized the dialogue, mimicking the conversations had by Kathy and her celebrities.)However, I employ this tape whenever I need to safely get into quick shape or as a supplement to my workouts at the gym.The movements are basic enough that I can do them almost in my sleep, adding weights and raising the step when necessary.I want this tape on DVD, so that it can travel with me!

5-0 out of 5 stars KATHY IS REAL and her fitnes routine provides REAL RESULTS!
This tape is honestly like an old friend.Kathy's personality is down-to-earth, calm, confident, happy and very pleasant.I have used this tape since '94 and actually just ordered a 2ndas back-up in case the first wears out!I know the results I will get if I apply myself to this routine!I once read on Kaehler's website that a woman lost 85 lbs. using it!I believe it.Kathy has a sensible teaching style, flawless and smooth ques and her physique is REAL and admirable....she's not freaky thin. This tape is very well thought out and truly includes exercise for all levels. This tape is timeless. If you like step and doing floor toning work and you like to sweat so you know you're getting the most out of your workout time...give it a try.You won't be disappointed. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars The results show.
Tone and Sweat is more of an intense workout, but this one is good to start off with or alternate during the week. I like to start off with downtown, then uptown, then do 20-30 minutes of cardio from his Blast off-tape or whatever cardio tape I can find. I do this routine 5 days a week and my friends and family have noticed the difference! This workout really works and it's not difficult. The toning bands cost me $5 at Wal-Mart and I noticed from magazines that bands & cords seem to be really popular strengthening devices right now with the increased popularity of pilates & yoga. So, if you want a workout that's not quite as "dry" as pilates or yoga with muscle toning and more of the fun, this one's for you!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Toning Workout!!
Okay, I admit I'm a Richard Simmons nut, but I've lost 40 pounds with him so far and his tapes are a large reason why.4-0 out of 5 stars Great Way to Get in Shape!
Although all of his tapes are excellent, I particularly like this two tape set.The first one, "Tonin' Uptown" is for your upper body, and the "Tonin' Downtown" is for...you guessed it, your lower body. The tapes run around 30-40 minutes each and are easy enough for a beginner to do.The music keeps you moving and let's face it...Richard Simmons is just pretty darn motivational! It's hard not to give the exercise routine your best effort, even though he's just on tape!Be forwarned--the toning rings are NOT included with the videos, but you can easily buy them at many discount stores. The students in his class could be you and me...they aren't all drop-dead gorgeous looking models, and I appreciate that.Instead of sitting at the computer, why don't you order this tape and get busy toning with Richard?? ... 5-0 out of 5 stars good after all these years
This is one of my mother`s tapes from her original collection.Jane Fonda`s Prime Time Workout, she has had it for years.I think she bought it when it was brand new.I was a bit weary about doing it at first.I thought it was going to be too easy or something.I ended up loving it.
5-0 out of 5 stars Love this workout!
I really like this workout it features a gentle warmup, basic ballet streches, arm toning, aerobics, and abs & bottom work plus more toning streches and a cool down. This video is really good for a begginer or intermediate. Its not as fast as the Jane Fonda New Workout, but it gives a nice over all body workout. This is a great workout to do on alternate days with either Jane's New Workout or Jane's Challenge Workout. The quality of Jane's videos still holds up all these years later, better than anything I could have found at wal-mart or best buy.

4-0 out of 5 stars GoodWorkout For Your Entire Body
I had the original "Prime Time" workout VHS tape for 16 years and used it so much I wore mine out too. This workout is a great workout for all parts of your body. The aerobic part is short but challenging. The sit ups, ballet bar and leg work really make you feel like you are making progress but without being too hard core. (I usually fast fwd thru the arm work because I find it boring)

5-0 out of 5 stars Oldie But Goodie
When I started exercising again this past January I remembered how motivating Bodies In Motion with Gilad was way back when I used to be in shape.Borrowed a couple of his tapes from the library and found this one to be excellent for my new beginner status.Thought after a few months it might become too easy but I was wrong.I still work up a decent sweat and have a whole lot of fun doing it.Yes, it may be a little repetitive but those of us not co-ordinated enough for complicated dancey aerobics find Gilad's workouts fit the bill.Definitely worth having if you can find a copy.

5-0 out of 5 stars I love Gilad
He has always been one of my favorites....he is very easy going and not self important. When I was in good shape I loved his tapes and when I needed to get back in shape , his tapes were the first I went to...my favorite...easy to follow yet challenging if you are not in great shape.

4-0 out of 5 stars Challenging, easy-to-follow workout
I really like this workout--has a good warmup, fast-paced but easy-to-follow aerobics section, good stretches and toning exercises at the end. The only thing I don't like is that he does pieces of a routine and then "starts from the top" to do them all in order--seems too repetitive--but gets a good sweat going. Again, I like easy-to-follow when the camera always shows you what move is going on, and Gilad prompts very well. Also, I like that it is 1 hour long. Also like the tropical scenery, and the music is "Carribean-like." ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Love this Workout!
Denise definitely targets "ALL" of your female fat zones from your butt, thighs, front and back arms, love handles, upper tummy and lower tummy. If you use this video plus a cardio workout, you will definitely see the results of a slimmer you!

5-0 out of 5 stars Just what I needed!
I'm a mom of 2 kids and finding time for a workout is really a problem. With Denise's workouts which are quick and fun, I get to finish it to the last minute and I feel very accomplished!I've tried Taebo but I feel like a loser towards the end when I don't finish it coz of time constraints and difficulty.I definitely recommend this for those like me who has less time and who's just starting an exercise routine. This is worth it!A great workout video indeed!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Workout
This workout will get you reslts.I did it for about a month and was completely toned. I wasnt that out of shape to begin with but it certainly worked its magic quickly.I would say its a bit difficult to get through... what I like is that even after youve done it for a month its still somewhat of a challenge to finish. The areas worked are exactly where women need it, you wont be disapointed.I dont mind her personally either. Its a bit much but when your doing a difficult workout it can be a welcome boost. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Not a bad little tape.
For beginners it is a very good tape.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great introduction to chi kung
This is the video that really got me interested in chi kung.It starts with an a short history and explanation of chi kung. The rest is divided into sections. For anyone who enjoyed the video there is a companion book "David Carradine's Introduction to Chi Kung".The book has a six month program using exercises from both the book and the video.

5-0 out of 5 stars It made me feel great
This video is great. As soon I started doing it, I felt peaceful and calm. It relaxes all the muscle joints, loosensyour body and purifies your mind. It has various parts which the viewer can do at their own preferenceandfitness level. The program does not require for people do be anyphysical condition or health, even though someparts warn thepractitioners not to follow for various reasons. I am a martial artsstudent and I find this videoespecially helpful for relaxation andstretching. My wife and I also use it to tap into the inner energy and to learn the briefing techniques. There are other various self curingexercises and movements, which we also foundto be of a great value.Overall it is an excellent, easy to follow video and I would highlyrecommend it toanyone. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Kathy Smith- kick boxing
We still have not received the item, so we can't say. We wanted the tape for my son for the summer, but now it is just about time for school to start.

5-0 out of 5 stars Even my boyfriend loves this video!
This is the first workout I attempted after the birth of my daughter. The first few times were a major challenge, but I have been doing it 3 times per week for 3 months now and, not only have i actually stuck with it, but I have my pre-pregnancy body back! I really don't feel I can say enough good things about this video. My boyfriend and I do this video together and we have both been very impressed. And the best part - as I get better I can focus more acutely on the relevant muscle group and maintain the difficulty of the workout. I highly recommend this video for all levels.

4-0 out of 5 stars break a sweat but that's it
this is a good video to have, you do break a sweat but that's really it.

5-0 out of 5 stars BIG RESULTS IN SMALL AMOUNT OF TIME
I do this video 2-3 times a week and find that I get as good a workout as doing almost 45 mins of freeweights. When I am done with this one, I feel my muscles burning. This is the first time I have seen anyone do a set of exercises one at a time and then incorporate them all together.YOu do a set of bicep curls, then lateral raises, overhead raises and tricep kickbacks. Then you do 2 of each all together. It was fun to do them that way. This tape goes really fast and I would recommend it to anyone who is short of time, but want to do some strength training.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great way to get rid of those flabby arms
I recently purchase this video, and it is great way to help firm up and tone your upper body.. very easy to follow..It hasgreat work out to get those upper arms toned up..Good strength and toning video for the upper body.. I would recommend this video.. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars irritating but effective
This video used to be the only one available for pregnant people. I have used it for three pregnancies, including my current one which is a twin pregnancy. The music is elevator Glori Estefan. Denise is a little too perky for the hormonal, the moves are dated and the costumes are ridiculous. That being said, it's great for begining exercisers or off days for those who are too tired for anything more intense. There are some weak toning exercises for the core and lower body after the 20 minute cardio segment. You could always put it on mute and listen to better music!

3-0 out of 5 stars Not if you're familiar with aerobics
This tape is ok for beginners (she takes time to explain proper positions, etc.) but I found it less than rewarding. Walking around while pumping your arms would have been as effective and cost much less!

5-0 out of 5 stars Good pregnancy and follow-up workout
I used this workout all through my pregnancy, clear up until a couple days before delivery. It was enough of a workout to get the blood pumping, but without raising my heart beat up past what doctors say is safe during pregnancy. Ask your doctor before doing the floor work portion of the workout in the last trimester though. This is a slower paced workout, but really helps keep problems like high blood pressure, weight gain and other pregnancy related problems to a minimum.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent exercise!
I needed to find something to do indoors because I'm stuck at home with 2 young children or have to walk very slowly when I do go out with them. I considered buying a treadmill (expensive!), and thought I'd try this walking dvd instead. Am I ever glad I did!
5-0 out of 5 stars Great low impact aerobic workout with upper body work included.
I love this workout.I do it with the ab belt and it's a terrific workout. It's easy to follow, it gives you a good workout and you are done in about 48 minutes (this includes a warm up, a cool down and stretching).I have a herniated disk and I have to be careful about twisting too quickly while I am working out.I have been doing this workout for about 4 months and I do not have any pain or problems when I do this workout.I would recommend this workout to anyone who can walk and wants to lose weight slowly and safely.

3-0 out of 5 stars Walking Away the Pounds
This one is good using the weights gives you a good work out. However if you use heavier weights it is difficult to keep up the walking and raising the weights above your head. You may want to only use light weights with this workout. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Love it!
What a great video! I have bought several workout videos in the past few years but none of them have motivated me to stick to them until now. I look forward to working out!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars BEST WORKOUT TAPE I OWN!!!
A friend of mine I noticed started losing weight FAST. She tuned me into the magick of Tae Bo so I went and purchased my own copy. I BLASTED through a weight loss plateau in less than two weeks! After that time I gasped when I saw the scale. I couldnt believe any workout could have that great of results in such a shorter time period. I own several other kickboxing tapes/dvds but this is the first Tae Bo one I ever owned. Billy Blanks says wonderful encouraging things and uses REAL women/men in his video and my FAVORITE part that made me stick with it when I thought I was too tired was when he pointed out a certain woman and said how she had two c sections and was told she could never get her stomach back but here she was with rock hard abs. He goes on to say things like "This will be YOU. You will have a stomach like this." You get to workout while the camera focuses on healthy/toned men and women of a realistic size. You don't have to workout while being forced to look at women the size of twizzle sticks and compare. After you make it through this tape you feel wonderful and inspired to keep it up. It helped give me a better self image and it goes at a paced you can go slower/faster howeveryou choose. I started seeing my abs getting toned within that two week period. I plan to go broke buying ever Tae Bo tape there is. Go for it. You won't regret it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun strenght training
I love Leslie Sansone, and am a long time fan. I do enjoy some workouts more than others, and on another site I belong to I saw some negative reviews on this one, butdecided to give it a shot. I completely disagree! If you are a Sansone fan (if not still go for it!) But it has two of the old tried and trues, Mary Kay and Carol working along with Leslie. It is a strenght training workout that you will need weights for, and is not hard, but gives you a great feeling that you have built up some strenght and worked some muscles. I love the background which is someone's beautiful house, and the music is upbeat and uplifting. I loved this one!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Walk the Walk - Excellent!
I found this video at Target this past Saturday and watched it when I got home.Needless to say, I got it out Sunday morning to do the workout.I was thrilled with it!It was easy, but I could feel everything I did.I have Leslie's 1, 2 and 3 mile Walk Away the Pounds tapes and enjoy all of them. This is a bit different in that you are firming, not doing aerobic exercise - which is exactly what I was looking for. There's not so much chatter, as she only has 2 on the floor with her, versus a large group. The music is very insprirational, which I thoroughly enjoyed too.I highly recommend this one for those who are just beginning to exercise, as well as those who just want something a little different from the walking.

5-0 out of 5 stars Walk Videos are the best
I have most of her walk videos and used all of them all the time so it doesn't get boring. Her videos are low impact and fun and the best part is that you can do them right at home. if you don't have the room to walk around you can just walk in place. Upper and lower body workouts!I say they are all a 10+ ... Read more
