Editorial Review

Finally, parents will have something to pop in the VCR when their hopelessly addicted tots ask for a hit of the blue dog during one of the many hours it's not actually playing on television. This 50-minute video contains two segments that touch on several traditional tales, but focus on "The Three Little Pigs" and "Goldilocks and the Three Bears." There's a little Elvis humor for the adults, but most of the jokes are aimed squarely at the pre-K set, who are asked to help our rugby-shirted friend Steve discover his evasive cartoon dog's favorite stories. With any luck, the video should buy you more than 50 minutes of peace as your child is likely to be inspired to engage his or her dog in porridge-portion comparisons or corner the cat behind the washing machine for a rousing game of "Little pig, little pig, let me come in." A beloved children's band from Australia, The Wiggles are fourmusic-making guys: Jeff, Murray, Greg, and Anthony. When the Big Red Car (awhimsical dune buggy) won't start, or as the Wiggles say, no "Chugga, Cugga,Toot, Toot!," it's an ideal time to sing and dance. There are songs aboutwalking across the street and eating foods that are healthy as well as some thatare more familiar like "Head, Shoulder, Knees, and Toes" and "Look Both Ways."The lads stir up a whole lot of energy with the help of their costumed friends, including Wags the Dog, Officer Beaples, Dorothy the Dinosaur, CaptainFeatherSword, and Zardo Zap. Their videos have a retro '60s feel, very upbeatand fun. It's easy to see why they are so popular in the land down under. Ages 3to 6. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Toot Toot
I enjoy watching this with my youngest daughter, the other two think they are too old for it. I say, "I'm watching it and I'm older than you," but they just roll their eyes and probably think I'm crazy.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great video for kids (and parents)
We're big fans of the Wiggles, and this is a great DVD. It has lots of their well known songs and is good to get kids dancing and moving.I actually enjoy doing the dances with my 2 year old and it's a good aerobic workout!

5-0 out of 5 stars My daughter loves this
My 2-year-old daughter is FASCINATED with The Wiggles and loves this DVD. The songs do get slightly irritating for adults (I find myself singing them during the day) but they are catchy for kids. Also, instead of sitting like a lump in front of the tv, she is up dancing around and singing with The Wiggles. Who knows, maybe it will inspire her to make millions doing kids videos when she is older!! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars NOT a good choice
For a video that is intended to be educational for very young children, this is the worst! My primary complaint is the serious speech impediment of the main character, Baby Bear. How does this help children learn to speak properly??In addition, his attitude is terrible. Finally, some of the animation (the letter "F" faces) is scary for young children. My daughter (who is about to turn 2) has several of the Sesame Street videos and this is the only one that I absolutely would NOT recommend.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent!!
My two girls love to watch it all day over & over agan LOL. My girls are 3 & 1 and my 3 year with in the first two weeks she is starting to say the letters of the Alphabet along with the DVD. This is a must for kids early development.
3-0 out of 5 stars Speech impediment of main character is an issue
OK, on the good side, this video contains all the favorite Sesame Street characters; is fairly long; has puppets, cartoons, animals, music, and some celebrity cameos; and most importantly, teaches kids the alphabet in a fun way. My 4 children have enjoyed it. However, one big issue with this video is the speech of the main character, Baby Bear. Sesame Street has always used the most ordinary looking children (not model-types) and has made its muppets with varying character traits, apparently, in an effort to show children that people come in all shapes and sizes - very "PC" and this was true even in the 70's before being "PC" was even defined as such. Having an instructional video with a speech-impaired puppet, though, is problematic. Forget trying to show kids that "Oh, some children speak like that and so that's part of the real world and it's OK". No. This is an educational video and I'm surprised and annoyed that this bear seems to say every possible word there is with a mispronouned "R", or as he says "aww" (rhymes with raw-ooo). So everytime this video is watched, my 2 year old thinks that it's correct to say "Beawwww" instead of Bear, "lettewwws" instead of letters, "twide" insted of tried, etc. Besides the educational shortcomings, the Awwwws begin to seriously grate on my nerves. If you can live with the fact that a main character in serious need of speech therapy is teaching your kids how to speak, then you may find this video enjoyable. ... Read more

A Halloween treat. Elmo visits fellow Sesame Street Muppet the Count in the latter's castle--and gets scared for a moment. But only a moment, as more friends from the television program show up, and jokes, songs, and surprises abound. Among the clever tunes: "Transylvania 1-2-3-4-5," "We Are All Monsters," and "Frazzle." Editorial Review

It's October 31 and Barney and the kids are decorating for a Halloween party at school. This means a trip to a local farm for the usual pumpkins, the Indian corn, and a good excuse for some seasonal songs ("You can call it fall, if that's what you please / But I say I like autumn.") There are14 songs, including at least one repeat from an earlier tape, and the usual Barney-ized versions of traditional tunes--the most bizarre being "S-M-I-L-E" to the music of "The Battle Hymn of the Republic." The prehistoric galoot and his "Halloween team" make some construction-paper spiders and paper-bag owls that are easy to duplicate at home and some foot-painting that would do a number on your carpets. The party is the big payoff, complete with prizeless games, a candy-filled piñata, and Barney boogeying down. The secondary story has BJ and Baby Bop on a dismal trick-or-treat outing, which includes safety advice but ultimately seems to suggest that this most-typical Halloween activity isn't a good idea. On the costume front, cowboys, ballerinas, and scarecrows are the order of the night, as this festive, but decidedly unspooky, 50-minute tape sidesteps the whole ghost/witch/goblin theme. Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars For Barney, This is Pretty Good
Even for those parents, who are not Barney fans, this DVD is a good one.The songs are cute & our two year old son manages to be able to sing along with some of them. The decorations that they make (spiders from hand prints, ghosts from foot prints) will give you some ideas of ways to entertain your children around Halloween. The costumes are good - certainly not too scary for small children.Overall, our son gives it two thumbs up and requests this DVD by name (even after Halloween)!

1-0 out of 5 stars Barney's Halloween Party
Very interesting to my 2 yr old grandaughter. Excellant for the upcoming holiday.

4-0 out of 5 stars BARNEY CELEBRATES HALLOWEEN
This is one we just picked up recently for our 2 1/2 year old.He likes Barney but he's not his favorite but he just loves Halloween so this was a great tape for him.Barney is joined by Baby Bop and the usual gang of kids as they celebrate Halloween.Barney and the kids take a trip to a farm where they learn all about fall fun such as cider and pumpkins. From there it's off to school to help the teacher decorate for the big Halloween party.Barney in the gang make several cute craft projects including paper spiders and goodie bags and also paint some pumpkins.later that evening they all get in their costumes anf go to the big party at school.

3-0 out of 5 stars OK
My daughter is 16 months old and loves Elmo.I purchased this DVD thinking she would love it but she doesn't love it, she likes it.She loses interest in it b/c the songs aren't familiar. All in all the DVD is OK.

5-0 out of 5 stars The BEST DVD for Toddlers by FAR!!
My 20 month old daughter absolutely LOVES this DVD. This is the ONLY DVD that she will watch for the entire length of it!I have even restarted it with her still in her "Elmo trance" and she still didn't budge! This has been her best Easter present! She has since received three Elmo's World DVDs that she likes, but they still do not compare to how much she LOVES this one. With the Elmo's World DVDs, she gets bored when they show Mr. Noodle and the other "real people" clips.Maybe those are more interesting for older kids, but for my daughter, she just isn't interested.

5-0 out of 5 stars 2 little thumbs up!

5-0 out of 5 stars I Don't Know Why It Worked But It Worked
We started trying potty train my son when he turned two and things moved along slowly. After we got this video it was like we hit a switch. All of a sudden my son would run off to the bathroom anouncing his intent as he went.It is silly and simple, but he enjoyed watching it and obviously connected with the message.

1-0 out of 5 stars Boring, Short and too graphic
First of all this video is too short, it shows the same thing over and over and it gets old really fast.Neither me or my son can stand to watch it more than a couple of times. The song is kind of catchy, but it gets old fast too.The potty does look different from any kinds I have seen as well.On another note, it shows it in his diaper when he has gone potty, I mean isn't that a little much?I think its just plain gross and my son probably didn't evenknow what it was supposed to be anyways.I know one of the reviewers said the kids looked too young but some of them looked too old too.I swear one of the kids in it looks like hes four.I wouldn't waste your money on this video, the repetetive nature of it bores the child too quickly.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good video for starters
My son loves this video and watches it excessively. It does present the partsthe body involved in pottying, but how can you expect your kids to go if they don't understand how and why they go. It's a cartoon so it's not like its realistically graphic. The potty shown in the video is the older bowl style so you child might be confused by the newer models, but kids are smart. I'd say this would be rare. I'm only mentioning it as a warning, so you're prepared to have to hunt down a similar style potty. (The Baby Bjorn potty is the closest I found and my son associated the 2 right away by acting out part of the video when he saw the potty.) My only complaint really is that it doesn't detail what goes into learning how to use the potty. It just says "he sat and sat but nothing came out. Later he made poopoo and weewee but not exactly in the potty." (shows an accident on the floor) Then the mommy keeps changing a diaper and later he sat on the potty and was able to go in the potty. It's probably all kids need to know, but I was a little disappointed that it didn't really present all the practice and work that must be done before most kids go in the potty. Of course, this way it leaves it open for the different training methods. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Mary says, "Disappointing"
My daughter loved this video, but she never seemed to notice the children on the potty. She loved the clown at the birthday party.Birthday party?! What does a birthday party have to do with going potty? I have to admit that the birthday boy didn't go potty, but his sister Katie did. (Katie didn't use a potty chair or a potty seat. She looked about two years old and used the toilet.)Then, it showed Lizzie who was reading and going to the potty.Eww! I didn't like the three boys going to the potty scene.Disgusting! I'm Mary and I don't reccommend this!

1-0 out of 5 stars Old and out-dated
This tape was a total waste of time.Everything about this tape is out-dated. The year is currently 2006 not 1960.I was bored and my 20 month old daughter was bored and not interested.
5-0 out of 5 stars Giving My Grandaughter An Idea
Little Brynn was 2 years old on Nov. 10th.Since that time she has expressed gret interest in toilet training but did'nt know quite how to start. She is a great visual and audio learner, so I bought a few tapes about potty training, especially the ones that included animals, and she is now taking the road to complete toilet control.I only wish I had a Dora Explorer potty video for her as she Would take a shine to that! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A hit at our house

When a special effect turns Tosha's bedroom closet into a stairwellof a pirate ship, the viewer knows this will be a different Barneyexperience. Tosha and Min and their lumbering dinosaur guide climb aboard tojoin Baby Bop, B.J., and the boys on a journey to the titular island. After ahearty land-ho, Barney and the kids explore the island, stopping along theway to turn tree branches, starfish, and clams into percussion instruments andbreak out in song. They stumble onto a thatched cottage, and its owner,Professor Tinkerputt, invites them in to look, but not touch, the beautifultoys he makes for himself. The gang turns the professor's life around byteaching him about sharing and he decides to join them on their journey homein order to give his toys to children. On the scale of adult irritation, thisfanciful Barney installment ranks surprisingly low. Older children who have outgrown some of the more lesson-oriented tapes in the series may even find themselves watching this one with their younger siblings. (Ages 1-8) Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My favorite
My toddler granddaughter loves this Barney video just like she does all the other Barney videos, but I even enjoy this one. If I were a little kid, this is the one that I would watch over and over....in fact, I have...but with my granddaughter, of course. The make-believe part where the kids and Barney journey by ship to Imagination Island is perfect! It reminds me of the old Storybook Land that used to sit where DFW airport is now. This is a very charming video that kids up to the age of 10 are sure to enjoy.

5-0 out of 5 stars theme
It was truly amazing. It has all my favorite Barney Songs.
5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Barney video/movie
I just bought this on sale at Walmart on VHS for about $6, and the box said it was 29 minutes, but it ended up to be the full-length 50 minute show. It's not the same studio background as the TV show, so it has that movie feel, and it's PERFECT for my 3 1/2 year old daughter (and my 1 1/2 year old son even sits still to watch it!).And, though I normally don't enjoy Barney shows, I must admit I find this little movie so sweet! It starts off in a cozy girly bedroom with two friends for a sleepover, then Barney shows up and they venture off onto a pirate ship to meet the guys and other dinosaur characters. They land on an island, meet this great character played by a middle aged man who ends up sharing his toy inventions after the gang teaches him how great sharing can be.The man sings a great catchy song and is very entertaining. Then the gang travels home and the girls end up back in the cozy bedroom.Catchy songs are just minutes in between the whole video. This is great for girls and boys, such a sweet fun feel to the whole show.I have become a fan of Barney since my kids love him, and the shows teach such great examples, and I have to say of all we have, this is the best show! ... Christmas! The mere word inspires shrieks and wiggles in the 1- to 6-year-old crowd. Treat the kiddies to a tuneful outlet for their holiday excitement with this festive, 45-minute video from Australia's award-winning children's group, the Wiggles. Main vocalist Greg Page (in yellow) teams up with cohorts Murray Cook (guitar), Anthony Field (guitar and trumpet), and Jeff Fatt (accordion and keyboard) to deliver over a dozen delightful Christmas favorites--some old, many new, and almost all with a boppin' beat. What makes this holiday sing-along superior to other, similar tapes is the genuine joy the performers emit while they dance, play, and smile throughout each one- to two-minute tune. Simple yet eye-catching sets for songs including "Felice Navidad" and "Jingle Bells" never upstage the foursome and their boyish glee. Many performances include equally wiggly children, dressed as elves or reindeer, who appear every bit as genuine as Greg, Murray, Anthony, and Jeff. In a favorite segment, Anthony introduces and chats with some of the kids before they perform a musical nativity play. The final few minutes features a live performance of the "Wiggly Christmas Medley" from Read more

Our daughter (13 months) loves this DVD to the point of obsession. Don't think about this as education - this is pure escape fantasy. Nothing else - not Baby Einstein, not Barney - keeps her rapt attention like this DVD. Pop this in when you need a break or are cleaning up after a day of playtime. You won't be disappointed.

I highly recommend getting this one! They have a lot of different child friendly Christmas songs as well as the traditional wordy ones that are staples of the Christmas season. My daughter and step son LOVE this DVD!The dances are fun and energetic too! There are also some speaking parts too that are kinda neat!I definately recommend this for any Wiggles fan collection :)

This is a really good Xmas video, you can't go wrong with the Wiggles.I should know--my daughter (almost 2) watches this thing every 2 hours.Lots of good Christmas songs, and they switch it up with slow stuff and fast party jams. They even get down on the beach with the infamous Captain FeatherSword.Lots of performances with kids taking center stage.Doesn't run too long either.Good choice for the kids and for wiggles fans worldwide. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars One of the bes leter videos out there!
My daughter got this as a gift when she was 1 and it was definitely too old for her. She loved SS, but the video was too slow for her. She's now 2, so I pulled it out and let her watch it the other day. She loves it! It's now her favorite video. She has a few other alphabet videos, but what's nice about this one is that it takes the next step and introduces words and a little phonics.
5-0 out of 5 stars Sesame Street - Learning About Letters
I'm an older mom of 4. I'd purchased this video for my first three older children and had since given it away. Who knew I'd have a fourth child so late in life? Knew this video was a must. Glad that I could find it again, every one of my older children learned their ABC's from this video. I remember the 'C' is for cookie sung by Cookie Monster, Bert singing La la la la lullaby and 'O' is for oatmeal, and the king that banished the letter 'P' from his kingdom. I remember this as if it were yesterday and it's been well over a decade! I could not recommend this more, every parent should own one, it really, really works!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Old School Sesame Street At Its Best!
We got this video as a present for my son's first birthday. I originally decided not to let him watch any TV before the age of two. However, I wanted to see what the video was like, since I grew up on Sesame Street. And my son just LOVED the video. I like it because it does not have fast moving graphics or loud noises. I limit my son's TV watching to one 1/2 hour a day and this is what he likes the best. He dances to it, talks to it, and even says some letters at 14 months old! And after watching it hundreds of times, I am still not sick of it (that is key). I am going to get him other sesame street videos, the one for numbers will be next. I highly recommend this video. Jim Henson was a genious and knew his stuff! You can't beat good old Sesame Street! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great fun for a toddler
My son loves Thomas but the stories seem sort of slow.He loses interest in them so quickly. However, this video keeps his attention. He watches it again and again. The songs are cute and catchy. He sings them around the house!!!I highly recommend this to any person who has a little Thomas lover in their home!!

Ever since they introduced the music videos to the Thomas videos, I've loved Thomas even more. They just add some musical fun and excitement to the videos and they're so catchy, you will sing them all the time, I know I sometimes find myself singing them. I'm sure little kids will want to watch this over and over and over again. Here are the music videos:

Prudence--the round-cheeked, pony-tailed heroine of Alona Frankel's book of the same name--can provide further inspiration to young daughters with her video adventure. As with her print counterpart, the animated Prudence wonders if her grandmother's gift could be a birdbath or a flowerpot before she settles down to the business at hand. Unlike the book, Prudence gets a grand introduction in the form of a music video of "The Potty Song," complete with toddlers frolicking among portable potties. A lyric sheet is included and moms will appreciate the equality mindedness of songwriter Art Frankel ("Wee-wee goes there / Poo-poo goes there / Then Daddy wipes behind me and that is that!"). The second half of this 24-minute video is a "Parent's Guide," in which a prominent pediatrician goes over the basics: signs of readiness, terms, methods, and expected ages (for example, girls usually train before boys, but don't force it). 5-0 out of 5 stars An effective little movie!
My little girl liked Prudence and the little potty chair. Yes, the potty chair doesn't look like the potty that everyone I know uses, but my two year old wasn't that analytical about the look of the potty. She knew what the little girl was trying to do- what she herself tried to do, and failed. When that little girl made the "poo poo" in the potty, my daughter went into the bathroom and sat and did it too. She must have thought that if SHE can do it, I can too.
1-0 out of 5 stars Great if you plan to use a chamber pot.
This DVD is weird. It looks like the little girl is peeing in a water pitcher. We sent it back along with the book.

5-0 out of 5 stars A total Joy to Watch
This was a joy to watch. Just as fun as the book by the same author and same title. My 20 month old daughter is very excited every time I play this tape. She sings and dances along with the tape.I don't see yet how it will help me in teaching her to use the potty but it is fun to watch. Consistency, patience and probably this tape will work. ... Read more

This is the first video of this children's favorite series that's not just a TV segment. The introduction, created for the video, follows Blue's intrepid friend Steve as he visits a kid's house to learn the "Birthday Candle Dance." It's only six or so minutes but it does add to the fun. Then it's on to Blue's fabulous birthday party, where she has left some clues for what she really wants for her birthday. Another winner. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars a real hit
My 2 year old LOVES Blue and Blue's Clues. We rented this one from the library and she wanted to watch it over and over - I think there's just something magical about birthdays (and other holidays for that matter) for small children. So far this week she has been at her play kitchen making "birthday cakes" for everyone in the house and wanting us to sing the birthday song over and over.Suremy husband and I are sick of the songs but Blues Clues is positive and encourages learning for kids so I say, deal with it.Repetition is how kids learn, and if she loves it, who cares???I give this one an A+++!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars This review is for all the Blue's Clue's series!!!!!
I should give Blue's Clue's BIG credit. Want to know why? Because a while ago I was about 4 or 5 years old. My autistic sister Pamela (Who is a little bit older than me and she's a special needs child) hated drawing and writing. That's a shame for a 9 year old kid to hate drawing and writing! But Blue's Clue's was released and she loved it (or loves it) and because Steve had his handy, dandy notebook, Pamela started to draw pictures just like Steve! Yay!!!!!!
4-0 out of 5 stars BLUES CLUES IS A FAVORITE
I guess we have more Blues Clues videos and DVDs than any other character. He's been a favorite of my son's since before he was one year old.Now he's almost 2 1/2 and has begun to develop more serious tastes. He'll actually watch many more programs geared towards older kids, and even adults, but he still likes his Blues Clues now and then.

5-0 out of 5 stars A True Blue's Clues Adventure
Blue's Clues adventures are just special. They cannot be explained except to say the acting is superb, the colors are dynamic, the stories are meaningful, and one finishes watching the programs with an upbeat feeling. This video is no exception. I donated a copy to my county library, and will be giving it as a gift for many years.

5-0 out of 5 stars All Original and Complete Recordings
All in all, I love it!All the songs advertised on this tape are the original, complete recordings that I have grown to love -- not remakes. It also has a few classical Kermit the Frog Sesame Street segments (for example, the little girl he's with sings "ABCDEF Cookie Monster!") -- though there are just bits and pieces of the Sesame Street News skits. My favorite song on this tape is "Bein' Green".I bought mine at amazon.com a couple of years ago, but not until today did I open it and play it -- I was just too nervous. If you can get this tape -- go for it!A MUST for any serious Sesame Street fan!

5-0 out of 5 stars this is so great!
This is so much fun!My 9-month-old daughter only shows limited interest in the video, but I love it!The songs are awesome -- Caribbean Amphibean absolutely rocks!I can't help smiling every time I hear it.'I love my elbows' is just too cute. And the skit about selling weather is hysterical.Treat yourself to this!

3-0 out of 5 stars Too much pigs - notenough Kermit
Because I'm such a huge fan of Kermit on Sesame Street, I'd buy this video again if I had to.That being said, it's somewhat disappointing.I was hoping to share Muppet News Flashes with my little boy, but the brief montage is just confusing for someone who's never seen them.Read more

Two episodes from the popular Nickelodeon Jr. show explore musicalthemes. In "Blue Wants to Play a Song Game," our intrepid Steveuncovers Blue's clues for what song she wants to play. Several nurseryrhyme songs are featured along with examples of music in nature. The lattertheme is explored further in "Music in a Everyday Way." Music is discovered in jars of water, sticks on the floor, and animal sounds. Even the thinkingchair becomes a musical instrument. The sound and rhyme matching willmake this video hold up to repeated plays quite well. Read more

This is another fun video from the early days of Blue's Clues.Blue leads Steve on a "clue hunt" and we learn a lot about instruments and music and rythms. This is a great way to introduce your toddlers to the concept of rythm.

Hearing-impaired (and Academy Award-winning) actress Marlee Matlin bookends two "Blue's Clues" episodes and gives the tape its theme by teaching Steve some American Sign Language. In the first story--in which Steve and friends attempt to ascertain where a certain blue dog would like to eat her snack--Steve teaches some signs and follows signs of another kind on poster boards. The written signs, of course, lead to the canine's clues, designated by her famous paw print. Blue Scadoo finds Steve jumping into Jane's book and meeting her deaf friend Carly, who tells a story in sign language. In the second episode, Steve tries to figure out where Blue wants to go by using a map the cunning dog has left behind. He eventually jumps into a Candyland-style game, finds Blue with the Gingerbread Girl, and winds up going to the library. Children ages 2 to 5 will enjoy and learn from this 51-minute video. 2-0 out of 5 stars Expected More Signing
My daughter is deaf and loves watching blue's clue, so I was some what disappointed with the limited signing. There was a small protion of consistent signing during story time, but that was a small segment.
4-0 out of 5 stars Delightful
When they say All Kinds of Signs. They mean all Kinds of Signs. My daycare kids love this video. It's really just induction to sign language as well as other signs such as street signs, bathroom sign etc. Blue's Clues - All Kinds of Signs is a cute helpful video just don't expect it to be a great sign language video.
4-0 out of 5 stars More on ASL for kids
This is an entertaining video. My son loves Blue's Clues...but not until he was about 2 yrs old.Earlier, he did not "get it" in terms of "finding a paw print". Another great Blue's episode that I am not sure is still out is "ABCs & 123s". At 25 months, I swear my son understands how READING works from this video! The counting part is really good too.My son tries to count everything! However, for those of you looking for more ASL sign language for kids, the BEST by far, are the series called Signing Times.website is www.signingtime.com There are six videos/DVDs in the series that increase in complication. The first one is "basic" signs like milk, eat, apple, more, etc.I started showing this to my son at 8 months and he was signing to ME from the highchair at 10 months. Then, I added the next volume(please, thank you, share, etc) to his viewing and so on.At 25 months, he knows over 50 signs and uses them. He sometimes can't make the sign exactly right with his hands...but,I know what he means to say and that is the goal (increased communication between you)!I must say, I've learned all the signs myself! Her style of teaching is entertaining and it sinks in! www.signingtime.com check it out. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Barney-zoo video/DVD
My two year old daugther loves the Barney goes to the Zoo DVD.The zoo animals are photographed clearly. My daughter learned about new animals that she had not seen before from the DVD. Very educational and fun.A good DVD to view prior to a zoo visit.

4-0 out of 5 stars If you have to have Barney...
I am not a Barney fan, and despite having now a 4 and 2 year old, I have steadfastly refused to purchase Barney items. My kids got this one from Grandma around the time my youngest was born.Although the other Barney DVDs that have found there way into our house have been quietly re-routed to other places, I find this one much less irritating than the other Barney episodes that have been borrowed from the library.Since the video wasn't designed for parents, it's best recommendation is that after more than two years, my kids still watch it at least once every few weeks (about as often as I offer it).
1-0 out of 5 stars WHAT A STINKER!!
