The old good vs. evil in a new exciting setting
This review is based on the Disney version of the movie, voiced by James Van Der Beek, Anna Paquin, Cloris Leachman, Mark Hamill and others. The basic premise is extremely simple - it's the old good vs. evil, science vs. nature scenario, but the animation and imagination is so cool that it looks much more complicated than that. THE SHEETA IS FALLING! THE SHEETA IS FALLING!
Pazu, a young boy, is looking for something to take his mind off the drudgery of working in a mine all day. He has to work because he's an orphan and he has to take care of himself. Then one day, inexplicably, he sees a pretty girl his own age floating slowly down from the sky with a glowing pendant around her neck. The girl's name is Sheeta and she had fallen out of a airship trying to get away not only from sky pirates, but also the government agents that had kidnapped her from her home. Both parties want the power behind the strange pendant and are willing to put Sheeta's life at risk to get it. Sheeta's only friend and ally is you spirited Pazu, whose dream of finding the mythical sky island of Laputa has an odd link to Sheeta's lineage.
Good Story, Facinating Artwork, my Favorite Studio Ghibli Presentation
Rather than rehash the plot yet again, I will give my overall impressions of the movie.I found the story to be very compelling and the artwork, particularly that of the village and the mines (what I like to refer to "Wales in Hell"), is spectacular.Excellent voice talent, including Mark Hamill of Star Wars fame, adds to the overall enjoyment.Like the man once said, "Sometimes you have to lose to win" and this is my favorite Studio Ghibli presentation.

this volume is like bad.super 17 gave the super vegeta a hard time, Goten and trunks an even hader time. Not even gohan could beat him.even MajUbb, who was just as strong as Super Buu didn't even make 17 budge. yet SS2 Goku just punched17 and he moved miles and miles with ONE punch.

On this part of the Super 17 Saga, Goku is still fighting for his life against Frieza & Cell while back on earth, Super 17 is laying waste to earth's mightiest heroes. The only one standing is Vegeta; that is until Goku makes his way outta hell thanks to Piccolo. Not a great first choice, but a great DVD nonetheless...
Pokemon fans new to the DVD side of things should probably start off with Poke Friends or Thundershock, but for what its worth, this is still a great trio of episodes from Pokemon's 'golden' era. Pokemon Power!
I love Pokemon, and "Pokemon Fighting Tournament"is one of my favorite videos.It contains 3 episodes,first in"The Punchy Pokemon"Ash enters Primeape in a tournament for fighting pokemon,next in "Sparks Fly For Magnamite" a group of Grimer and Muk cause a power shortage in Grindgy City and it up to Ash and his friends to save the sick pokemon at the pokemon center,then in "Dig Those Digglet" Ash and his friends run into his rival Gary,but theres no time for a pokemon battle they have to solve a problem with Digglet and Dugtrio first, and Team Rocket try to evolve Ekans and Koffings. I recomend this video to all Pokemon fans.

No other anime video quite like it.
In 2003, I was able to buy this on DVD in a West-coast Chinatown. It was probably an unlicenced Taiwanese DVD, but since only a few of the segments need subtitles this is not a problem. Picture and sound quality are good enough, tho not outstanding for a commercial product.
One of my all time favorites
This is one Japanimation feature i cherish, though i havent seen it in some years. I can't forget how much i loved watching it, especially the story called "PRESENCE", which is about a family man who has been building and tinkering with a robot, amongst other things. An escape from the hustle and all together cold bustle of the town, the demands of work, "friends" , and his wife/company women...who seems less attentive perhaps to the family now, and to things like cooking the soup the way she used to.
A Forgotten Favorite!
These animated shorts are some of the best anime I've ever seen. I have the LaserDisc version of Robot Carnival. Unfortunately my player died a few years ago and I'm anxious to see it once again. Hopefully, it'll be re-released in DVD. ... Read more

MY BEST SATURDAY MORNING CARTOON!
I like that movie. I liked the part when Ash gets hypnotized and thinks he's a Bulbasaur. I loved the whole thing except when that pretty girl's Grandmother tried selling Ash Misty and Brock potion that grows hair on your nose and tongue.

Jiggly Puff Jigg a LeEEEeee Puff!
Cute story. I don't like Pokemon, but Jigglypuff is so cute! Even though the title's called "JIGGLYPUFF pop," there's only ONE Jigglypuff-related episode in this. That's why I gave it 3 stars.

Dragonball Z Beginnings
Ok, ok, ok. Now, honestly, I don't think this saga is half bad! It has some great stories that are totally original and awesome! I especially like Goku traveling on Snake Way! Even though the voices are terrible and they edit all of the good stuff, this saga gets ragged on a lot more than it should. This set includes the 3 or 4 episode turned special of Radits, Goku traveling to Snake Way, Goku training with King Kai, and the Fights that break out between the Saiyans and the Z Gang. Even if you are a beginner and choose the Vegeta Saga over this, I would at least reccomend to give this a whirl.

I watched most of the series and the last episode back then... some of the fight scenes are too long, and plain boring.But don't get me wrong, quite hilarious and I laughed all the way through especially when Gohan engaged in a fight scene with Frieza.Gohan and Goku are super saiyans and they have this special power...Man... this is something!!!

Memories of the best anime
Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon brings back so many memories. When I was very young and Sailor Moon first came out, I found it by fate by flipping the channels. Back then no one else watched it and it was on at 6:00 in the morning. Many years later I reunited with it and then I ordered the Japanese episodes fansubbed. The Japanese episodes were amazing. Back then their was no official distributer, so I ordered from a fansubbed distributer. The Japanese version was so different from the American version. It was completely different. I love both versions though. The English version brings back memories from my childhood while the Japanese version is uncut. It's fun comparing the episodes and seeing how much was changed. This version, however, is the edited and changed. It cuts out many scenes and makes a lot of changes. While it has changed a lot from the original Japanese version, it's great for a trip down memory lane, and brings back my childhood memories. This volume has very important episodes. This volume has many romantic moments and Serena and Darien and Usagi and Mamoru are my favorite couple ever. Many exciting events happen, and this volume is very important. It brings back memories from your childhood. The Japanese version is my favorite. I love Tuxedo Mask.

This is probubly one of those VHS's that if you need a good Sailor Moon laugh, pop it into the VCR. "Back From the Future" is a hilarious video that has the return of Chibi-Usa (Rini) as a Sailor Soldier, Sailor Chibi (Mini) Moon! (I love how in the dub, in the end of the first epiosde, Serena (Usagi) calls Rini a "Mini Brat"! Funny!^_^)Read more

I just started watching the series again.I haven't watched it in about 5 years so I'm a little behind.But i wenr to a bookstore to look for some pokemon/digimon vhs/dvds and I found this video for $2.98.I bought it took it home and watched it.This video definetly brought back memories of when i watched it when it was about a year old.Now I think I'm back on the craze.This video has three episodes.I won't describe them because there is already a description for it on amazon but I will tell you they are all good.This is defenetly worth getting for your collection.Next I will look for some more videos and the pokemon movies.I still have only seen the first movie.Anyway buy this video. A definate must get for fans!
There is four great things that happen in this movie: Suprise!
My opions on this video tape is "It's full of suprises to the scouts!" Anyway, it's a great show, many secrets will be revaled in this one. I think you'll like it, because it's one of the best Salior Moon shows. One more thing I like to say is that you are not suppose to tell what people what are on the items you are reviewing, so if you want to write a review, be sure of that.

Well, the video/DVD seems to focus on new character Snap/Todd. Snap/Todd also appears in the game Pokemon Snap, so consider these episodes a preview. Has one of the best episodes of all time!
I bought this tape solely because it contains one of my favorite episodes, "The Breeding Center Secret." I'm a Team Rocket fanatic and the new members Cassidy and Butch in this are sooo cool! The other episodes aren't bad either.

A Good Movie.......yet...
Pokemon: Jirachi Wish Maker, the 6 pokemon movie to date is also the first to not be showen in theater. The main reseon is the low ratings of the previos movie Pokemon: Heros and the decres of fans of pokemon. Anyway, I wont go into Summurising(sp) the movie becues most users all ready done that. insted I will tell you what to expect when you buy this Movie.

This movie was okay.It lack some of the action and intensity of the previous.Another major draw back is like in Pokemon heroes the main members of team rocket.Jesse, James and mewoth the main characters are barely evolved in this movie.PersonalI think it wasa waste of time cast them for the last 2 sinc they where barely alive.Like in all the other movie the main pokemon is physic caple of talking. How theymake shoot all these move show easy with the scenes with the physic and high special effects like the scene when as flies in Poke 4 everI never understand why such hard work is so under appreciated.
