Good for a pokemon fan but I'd just rent it.
Like all the other pokemon movies and the series this is pretty gay. but this movie actually has some cool pokemon clashes in it! This means it's a little more violent then the others. The clashes between Deoxy and Rayquayza were epic and made me jump out of my seat once during a pokemon movie/episode. I'd just watch this for the action. But yoy shoul see the part where Rayquaza (The dragon) Created aHuge energy ball like Dragonball Z and fired it at Deoxys. you just gotta see this for yourself, but alot of this movie is boring stuff and once again you gotta see a few more team rocket moments which are the boringest. ... This Vhs is good!
This Vhs tells how Sailor moon got her powers. It's good but i like vol.2 better, i like the other volume's better cuz it funny when Serena and Rae fight. But it is relly good anyway. The episods on this Vhs are ep.1 A moon star is born ep.2 Talk radio ep.3 Slim city and ep.4 So you want to be a superstar. If you are a Sailor moon fan you will relly enjoy it, i did. I also like the anime's Naruto, Zatch bell, Bobobo-bo-bo-bobo, Tenchi Muyo, Dragon ball z, and One piece.

I like Sailor Moon in Japanese with English subtitles. But I used to own this DVD and I didn't realize how bad it was until I saw it in Japanese.

If you like DBZ... Then you're going to love DB!
I've just now gotten into Dragon Ball and I think that it's a whole lot BETTER than DBZ. If you decide to buy this video, PLEASE WAIT AND SAVEENOUGH MONEY FOR THE BOXED SET!Trust me, you'll feel frustratedwhenever the movie ends and you're badly wanting to know what's going tohappen next! Bulma, Oolong and Goku are looking for the sixth dragonball which is in the castle on top of fire mountain. Fire mountain is a mountain with flames that burn eternally. While Yamcha nearly kills Chi Chi, Goku, Bulma, Goku and Oolong have a run in with a very angry Ox-King! Ox-King nearly killsGoku until he finds out that Goku is Son Gohan's grandson. He asks Goku todo him 2 favors. One, find his daughter Chi Chi, and two, go to The Turtlehermit's Island to find Master Roshi to put out the fire.When Goku findsa blushing Chi Chi, (I won't say why!),he lets her ride on Nimbus. Ofcourse, Chi Chi falls in love with him,but as usual, Goku is naive. Eventually, Goku and Chi Chi bring Master Roshi to Fire Mountain where heperforms the Kamehameha to get rid of the fire. Accidently,though, hedestroys the castle and the mountain. In the end, Bulma gets the dragonballfrom the rubble and Yamcha(who'd been hiding behind a wall the whole time)is as you can imagine, very happy. Oh, and Bulma convinces Oolong toshape-shift into a girl to go on a date with Master Roshi(watch the movie,you'll find out why!) but ends up changing into her which drives Bulmanuts! It ends with Goku, Bulma and Oolong flying away in their new car fromOx-King and Yamcha and Puar following close behind!

Barely remember this movie at all...
I remember seeing this movie on Toonami twice a long time ago.It was pretty good of what I remember.It was edited for TV.I'd only go out and hunt for this DVD if want every DVD cause you're a collector or something.FUNimation is coming out with a new DVD for this movie with the GOOD voice actors and the ORGINIAL japanese version.It comes out May 31, 2005.Get that one instead if you want to see it.I just wanted to say that.

Pretty good......Bad english dub though
This is a pretty good movie, with good action and story.However, the english dub brings down he quality.Goku's voice is AWFUL!I'm glad FUNimation changed the voices when they took it over, becuase almost all the voices are bad.Gohan's is really the only voice I liked.When the voices in this movie say lines, they sound really corny.i bet if FUNimation had done the voices for this, it wouldn't have sounded corny.I haven't watched the japenese version of this yet, but I already know the voices on it are better because I've seen other japenese DBZ, and it all has pretty good voices.

A great DVD, definitely worth a buy
This DVD showcases how Goku fights Frieza as Namek is about to blow up. While Toei DID manage to make a 5 minute fight stretch out to 9 episodes, it is still an exciting battle to watch. The filler pretty much makes the battle more intense and exciting. In the first episode of the four episode DVD, there is an amazing moment where everyone who died comes back to life. In what I think is a filler scene, Vegeta actually comes up to Goku and Frieza. That was a spectacular scene, to see him so close to the tyrant he hated, right before he got zapped back to earth. A Fight that lasts for days
I love this Dvd and the other when Goku and Fieza starts fighting.This is the one time Goku trains to fight a powerful fighter. Every other villain fighter is like impossible to beat with ridiculous power levels and moves that are WAAAAAAAAY better than the moves of the super sayin's. Majin buu can turn them into food and take their power and moves from them by eating them and become stronger. Baby or as some people say Babie out does Majin Buu a 1000 to 1 in the dragon ball gt version. he can jump into people bodys and possess them and then jump outside them while leaving eggs or seeds in them which turns them in his slaves. and baby does that to some of he Z fighters and he takes over vegeta's body.but is then beatin when goku of givin power by all the people in the universe or somethin like that. and then he does a power move like the kamahamah wave and then baby leaves the body of vegeta and is then destoryed.and then back in the DBZ version Galic jr. is invincible and can't be beatin and the only way he is beatin is when he is sucked into the dead zone where you can't get out. butsome how he gets out and then gets sucked back in and also Cooler who later on became a machine become impossible to beat because he can clone himself into the 1000s and the only reason why he is beatin is because he trys to take the power from Vegeta and Goku while they are super sayins and then the big Gete star overlaods and brakes because they had to much power.They Cooler fights them in his real form and then geats destoryed. and then cell who could suck peopl up through his tail and take their power from them. kinda like majin buu. All these villians could be cut in half , blown up into 1000s peices and killed all types of ways and still come back to life.But Frieza is like the only normal villain that can't come back when he i destoryed like that. him andsuper 17 , broly , androids and the of the dragons of the black dragon balls.frieza and goku fight for what it seems like for days and that is why i like this dvd so much.

THIS SERIES ORIGINALLY CALLED STARZINGERS NEEDS TO BE RELEASED ON DVD!
This is my all-time favorite manga cartoon series. I want to give it 10 stars. Starzingers was aired in japan between 1978-1979 in 73 episodes and a movie. I need it all on dvd in originally japanese language with english subtitles. You hear me Amazon? Money is no object! This videocassette gets 0 stars because it has only 2 episodes.
Not for the guys- A ladies only type of video
This video was part of a 4 pack set that I bought on sale. The first 3 videos (starvengers, grandizer & gaiking) were alright but THIS video is one for the ladies and/or mothers with small little girls. Peak of cartoon history
Yes, this truly is a gem. The english version is available on Amazon.com, and god bless Amazon.com for that. I only wish more episodes were available. Starzinger is the swedish version, I own all 6 casettes. Charming, humour, action, sad, yes, sometimes terrifying is Spaceketeers / Starzinger. The cartoon that tells the story of a galactic energy, that makes the world what it is. If this energy were to be detained, or reduced, it would seriously threaten the galaxy. Well, such a thing has happened. It was shown in Cuba in the 1980s. As someone said, images from this film also haunted me and my friends until adulthood. I remember we were like 7, and we all fell in love with the robot. I had dreams and nightmares straight out of the film. Images of beauty and terrible harshness. As kid, we all walked away with the idea the world we will live in the future is harsh, but we can beat it if we are good at something: a good pilot, a good friend, scientist, or if you love someone. These are actual discussions we had at 7 when we watched the film.
Epic, Archetypal Masterpiece
This film, also known as "Space Firebird", was one of the earliest animes released in the West. I first saw it as a young child on television in New Zealand, and for years it remained in my mind. In my late teens I wanted to find it again, but could not remember the title or anything else about it; certain scenes haunted me, but I was never sure if they were all from the same film. Finally in my early twenties I spent hours online trying to find it, and as soon as I saw a picture of the cover I knew this was it. I bought it, watched it, and was astonished to realize that numerous recurring childhood dreams were images directly from this film; also many other impressions, associations, and attachments could similarly be traced back to this film. Never have I been so affected by a movie as I was by "Phoenix 2772" as a child. The images, concepts and storyline are classic, simple and powerful, and draw on ancient themes and archetypes which, especially for a child, serve to imprint it deeply on the memory. It is a very universal film, the tale is timeless, and the unashamed sentimentality, passion and earnestness which infuse it are charming. The streets are never safe
Love motorcylces? Then you'll love Wild 7. A force above the law that helps take out organized crime, corruption and media power brokers. One thing you can enjoy is the cool gadgets on the motorcycles such as boosters and missile launchers. The character design of the biker group is really well done and better than the others. Chase scenes are where Wild 7 does justice with gun toting bad guys firing down streets. The dubbing is pretty much ok. The animation is a place where this show needs some improving. Grated, Wild 7 may not be everyones cup of tea and it may need a little time to find its target audiance, but overall, an ok anime with a few glitches. Rent it first. ... Read more

an okay show
personlly this product had only two downsides
amazing final fantasy!!
this movie is very underated.. it nice for the time... remeber people we dident no what ff would look like 3d so this is the result of a 2d game.. i loved it! it's kinda far off from ff5.. but it's a nice movie.. if you dident like it i recomend you (final fantasy:unlimited) a very good ff anime..

This classic anime would better be represented in a DVD . . . though it does portray many of the usual Anime/Manga traits and comic devices along with a fairly easy to understand plot. Girls Enjoyed the trip to Iscandar Too!
I think I was 11 or 12 when this series was on the old UHF channels.Every day after school I would watch the journey of the Argo to Iscandar.I loved it!!I had no idea they did a second and third series.Where was I? Oh, yeah, Luke and Laura ran away together!That's where I was.But I'm so glad the series is on VHS.Now I can relive a time when weekday afternoons were about visiting other worlds and not making deadlines!

My anime fandom started here
'Star Blazers' was my first experience with the medium of serialized Japanese anime. I made every effort to never miss an episode when the show aired every weekday afternoon after school. I was surprised by the show'slevel of complexity and maturity, things that were sorely lacking incartoon shows of that era. I was amazed at how the show featured thehorrors of war- death, suffering, pain- subjects that American animation atthe time was too afraid to broach in a direct manner. And even though'Robotech' would eventually supplant 'Star Blazers' as my favorite animeseries, it was the latter show that was my first love. It was also one ofthe few 'toons that I missed when the local station quit airingit. A Childhood Remembered
I remember rushing home from school to watch this when it was on a UHF station and cable was for the rich.School got out at 2:50 and Starblazers was on at 3:00.I never missed an episode.Now I can relive those days and share them with my kids.These shows are a great story of man'sundying need to survive.I'm so glad to see them again. ... A series of Dragon Ball Z on video.
I am a huge fan of the Dragon Ball Z show, these videos are a must for anyone who likes a little extra action and can't get enough of the total non-stop adventure from Goku and friends.
mother nature can get nasty
A bunch of space pirates have can to planet earth and plant a seed that grows the beautiful on the outside but deadly the environment in the inside I'm talking about the Tree of Might, it has the power to devour all living light forms of the planet and into the fruit that grows on the Tree of Might when it is finishing devouring it leaves the planet with nothing but dusk no living creatures what so ever also when the saiyan Turles "that looks like Goku" who eats the fruit off of the tree gives him super strength.

A Clinic in Animation
Love, love, love this movie. Blows me away almost every time I see it. Obviously the title of this review refers to its visual superiority, and that's exactly what it has, in almost every facet. It's puzzling why some people allude to this film as having mediocre animation, because frankly, I think it dazzles in that department. It's on par with any other DBZ movie visually, and that includes "The Return of Cooler," which I believe to be the best of the DBZ movies animation-wise. Maybe I just have awful taste in what looks good, or perhaps I just have no grasp on what good, clean, crisp animation looks like. Who knows really? All I know is that my eyes love what they see when I pop this in the DVD player.

GIOVANNI REVEALED!!!
After months and months of waiting, we finally get to see the face of Giovanni, the mysterious evil leader of Team Rocket! Up until the episode of the Viridian Gym, he had always hid his face in the shadows and used one of those voice-changers to disguise himself. This is the first time we ever see his whole face and hear his real voice. Even though he has a pretty small role overall in the anime, he is one of the coolest characters of all just because he is so mysterious. And then of course there's the appearance of Mewtwo, but come on: you just have to admire that Giovanni for being the only human who was ever able to control Mewtwo.

I had to get this movie!It's so cool!In the first episode of this video, Clafairys have built a space ship and they plan to take Pikachu with them!The part I like the most is when Jigglypuff and the Clafairy have a slapping contest because the Clafairy took Jigglypuff's marker/microphone.In Battle of the Final Badge, we get to see Mewtwo kick Gary's butt with no effort!Of course, Mewtwo is in its armor and looks so cool!Giovanni leaves Jessie and James in charge because he has to go to an emergency accident.When Ash battles them he soon finds out that the platforms are rigged and when his Pokemon get hurt, he feel their pain too!The next episode shows a lazy Mr. Mime that will not obey the trainer.Can Ash and Co. get the Mr. Mime to perform again?These are my favorite episodes in the entire seires!The Clafairy one is so funny!

Unlike my other reviews, this one will be relatively short.This video contains my favourite episode of the series.Not only does it have the real first appearence of Mewtwo, but... GARY GETS WHUPPED!!!Mind you, I happen to like Gary.He is one of my favourite Human characters aside from Brock and Team Rocket.But the look on his face when he gets his pride handed to him in "Battle of the Badge" is PRICELESS!Aside from the enjoyment of seeing Gary lose and thrusting him into reality, showing him that he cannot win EVERYTHING, I still wonder about Giovanni's "special assignment".Was his car impounded?Alas, viewer... we shall never know...
