Finding Nemo is a great "catch" for the whole family
Pixar Studios have done it again. I have to say that these guys are totally good in computer animation, as well as in storytelling. Rarely do those qualities come together but here they are, delivering unto the audience once again something that one can only be drowned with wonder. Such is the marvel of Finding Nemo.

Great Film and Worth the Purchase
This is a great DVD that our son loves to watch. I don't think it is as good as the original but sequels rarely are. It's certainly worth the purchase and has a lot of extras on the disc. I have seen it less expensive in other stores however.

Buzz & Woody Are Back
Yes it's true and people didn't think it could be done, Buzz & Woody back for a second adventure. In this film Woody finds out the real reason why he was made, he was a character on a TV show and Woody is one of the last remaining dolls made for that TV show.
Excellent pick for all
Toy Story 2 is just as good as (or even better than) Toy Story 1.Great animation, very funny and teaches valuable lessons without the sadness.Some of the animated movies have scenes that are hard to watch, for example the opening scene in Finding Nemo or the beginning of Tarzan.My son watches those scenes in horror (and so do I).Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 1 have such an original storyline that is so endearing, and it is such a well rounded movie that it is an excellent pick for all.I also like the fact that the toys don't sing and dance as in most animated movies, and yet the music is excellent.I particularly love the song (composer: Randy Newman) when Buzz realizes he is just a toy and can't fly and tries to fly out the window.Me and my son play along to that part! ... William Steig's delightfully fractured fairy tale is the right stuff for this computer-animated adaptation full of verve and wit. Our title character (voiced by Mike Myers) is an agreeable enough ogre who wants to live his days in peace. When the diminutive Lord Farquaad (John Lithgow) evicts local fairy-tale creatures (including the now-famous Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, and the Gingerbread Man), they settle in the ogre's swamp and Shrek wants answers from Farquaad. Two words Donkey--'Shut'....'Up'
Perhaps one of the best all around movie out there, animated or not. The chemistry between Donkey and Shrek is hysterical.
TERRIFIC FAMILY FILM THAT HOLDS EVERYBODYS' INTEREST
FIRST IMPRESSIONS -- If one were to imagine a happy ending where 'Belle' from 'BEAUTY & THE BEAST' became a beast in the end rather than the beast becoming a Prince, one can get an idea of what Shrek is all about.
Charming fun from an unexpected hero
Whereas Pixar always focused on good, clean family fun in its pictures, Shrek came into the spotlight because Dreamworks decided to skew the jokes a little more towards the older audience, while maintaing the basic family-friendly atmosphere. It worked, and Shrek was the film that proved it didn't take Disney/Pixar to create animated box-office gold.

Disney does its magic!
Another Disney classic just like Pocahondas, Shrek, Snow white, Alandin and Lion King. These are cartoon figures and films that are never forgoten.

The legend reworked...
To be fair, the legends of Herakles, as they were originally written, have little to do with this movie, but maybe that's for the best.Having grown up on Superman, Batman and the Justice League, I have a hard time calling a person like Herakles a hero.In the original legends, he was a warrior, but also a brute who eventually wound up killing his wife and children in a fit of rage.He also wasn't, as far as I can tell, as strong as in this version.
Good Fun - the Kids and I Liked It
This is a great show and very entertaining.The story isn't the Greek classic, but it's a fine riff on it.The songs are good, and they grow on you as you watch.I take issue with the reviewer who thought there was gratuitous sexuality in the Meg character - it's just a cartoon, for pete's sake.

How Green Is Your Grinch?
I was quite disheartened when I purchased the previous DVD release of How the Grinch Stole Christmas to find a yellowish grinch in the video transfer. It is most certainly my intention to purchase the upcoming release in the hopes that this problem has been corrected but what exactly is the story on the contents of this release. Are we supposed to believe that this is a 26 minute running time release with no other contents on 2 DVDs? What exactly are we getting here and what is the growing problem among manufacturers who remain tight-lipped about product content prior to the release date?
THE Grinch movie you want to see
This is the original animated film. Awesome. Loved every minute of it as if I were 8 again.

I recently purchased the DVD of Dr. Seuss - How the Grinch Stole Christmas. This is the third generation in my family to derive such enjoyment from the ORIGINAL Dr. Seuss classic. I watched and loved it as a child, my two daughters watched and felt the same way growing up. A Very Special Movie
"Who Framed Roger Rabbit" is quite simply a most magical filmmaking experience. It's a film that is truly brilliant in every way imaginable. From its plot, a brilliant homage to the great film noir thrillers of the 1940s', to the fantastic visuals, still impressive even today, to its smart, funny, fast paced script, "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" is a truly timeless piece of cinema.

I remember seeing this movie
I saw this movie when I was in elementary school. We went on a field trip. We went to a park after the movie. I was waiting in line to use the restroom and I shouted at one of the teachers for not letting me use it before before we left the park. My teacher did not like my behavior and she told me to owe the person an apology and I refused. As result I was not allowed to go on their field trip with them. I was 11 at that time, but I'm 21 now.

A DVD MUST...so where is the DVD?
Rover Dangerfield is a very good animated feature and deserves to be available on DVD for a new generation of viewers. The quality of animation is top-notch. The character design is outstanding - especially the turkey, hen and rooster (in fact their scenes are BRILLIANT) and, of course, Rover. The backgrounds and layouts are terrific. Honorable mention goes to the excellent 3D intro. Overall, the quality of the production value is very high.

Funny, plenty of adult humor, not quite young kid friendly
This is a great movie, full of puns, inuendo's and one liners that only being inside a human body could pull off.It is about a lonely white blood cell named Osmosis Jones (played by kid rock) who is on a body wide search of a suspect virus that no one believes he has seen.Drex (David Hyde Pierce) is the fast talking, proper cold aid who, after seeing the commitment Jones has, joins him in the search for Thrax (Lawrence Fishburn).Bill Murry plays the host body, along with Chris Elliot as his best friend.

Halloween?
This was a wonderful video set for Simpsons fans, but if your buying it for the halloween episodes don't.There are only two actual halloween episodes in this six episode set.The other episodes are good though as well.I only wished that they would have put all halloween episodes in the set.

The opposite of PC
You knew going in this was not a movie for kids.You knew the jokes would be offensive, sexual, crewd, and at times totally over the top.Not sold yet?Well that just about covers the opening credits.This movie is no-holds-barred gutter humor with enough intelligence to not be insulting by the final credits.HOWEVER, it is not for everyone and if South Park makes you uneasy, move along.

Anyone offended or disgusted needs to get a grip and any losers seeking a tribute to those wonderful Gerry Anderson kid shows theye watched back in the 1960's need to climb back in their hole, take their bible, and go watch Davey and Goliath or something. The creators of South Park are proud to not belike those 60's kid shows, that was the point. Fans of South Park and fans of smart, ADULT humor will enjoy this.
Could have been a great movie, but....
Team America had all the ingredients for a really great movie. By utilizing the Supermarionation-style puppetry and merging it with pop culture and political satire, it could have been the most original movie of the year. Unfortunately, Trey Parker and Matt Stone seem to be addicted to vulgarity, and the flurry of f-words in their theatrical films would have made Richard Pryor blush. The few clever satirical points they made were overshadowed by the foul language, graphic sex, and gratuitous violence that was peppered all over the film. I was particularly turned off by the ridiculously long puking scene, as well as the homosexual encounter between Gary and his boss.
