Commonly confused with earlier Disney release "Scary Tales"
Donald's Scary Tales does not contain "Skeleton Dance." It is commonly confused with a video released by Disney in the early 1980's known as Scary Tales. Scary Tales has a run time of 43 minutes and does contain "Skeleton Dance." Donald's Scary Tales has a run time of 22 minutes and has three shorts on it: "Donald Duck and the Gorilla", "Duck Pimples", and "Donald's Lucky Day." I hope this helps any fellow collectors of vintage animation.

Disney Classic But No Skeleton Dance Though
This is definetly A Disney Classic. But the Skeleton Dance is not in this Video. Adults will be taken back to their childhood after viewing this wonferful Disney Classic. Kids are mesmerizied by this timeless classic.

A GREAT FILM

OK, but not as good as the first one
The Lion King is one of my favourite movie. The second movie it's ok but not as good as the first one. It has poor songs, poor animation and a very poor action. However it has interesting bonus features like games or making-of. I suggest you think before buying this Disney DVD.

Another bad sequel
Why must they make sequels? Why do they insist? I thought this movie was pathetic. I love the first movie, in comparison this movie is trash. I found it confusing because although it is implied that Scar dies in the first movie he suddenly has a pride of lions. Which makes no sense at all, why would Scar have hung out with the hyeneas in the first movie if he had his own pride of lions? Where were they? I did like the the part whhere Simba's daughter and the other lion were going down the river and Rafiki is singing. ... Read more

A must have
Charlie Brown is classic.You'll love his simple style and humor and the kids will too.It reminds me of simpler times in life without all the clutter and business of today.There's no fighting, special powers, x-ray vision, etc.Just Charlie Brown and the gang learning about life and teaching important lessons along the way.

VHS vs. DVD

Snow White-Heigh Ho
So, what's the catch? I have seen Disney Sing-Along-Songs videos for a long time. Some of them are Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah, The Bare Necessities, Friend Like Me, Circle of Life, etc., etc. So now to the basics of the songs.
Sing Along Value
When this video was released it had high value because it had scenes from Snow White which had never been released on video before. Now though Snow White has been released on video and DVD, so it isn't so highly praised. i am so glad that i finally found this movie.i loved it when it was shown on tv, but i haven't seen it for years.i actually forgot the name of it.this is such a wonderful, educational, and spooky halloween treat.a great movie that everyone should watch during halloween.

I am a fourth grade teacher.I have used this for 10 years in my classroom to teach social studies and geography.Their journey to Egypt (mummies) and Mexico(Day of the Dead) gave me new information that I have never run across in books.The kids love learning about their costume histories.I always have students ask where they can get this movie.

School House Rocks!
At my school we perform plays and School House Rock was one of them. This year was the year we performed it and it was a success. The play even helped me. When my son was born, and only my singing seemed to comfort him, (my singing had never comforted anyone before...) I found myself singing "The Preamble" and "Conjunction Junction." I bought all four Schoolhouse Rock videos shortly afterwards.
Great for ALL AGES!

My favourite of Blue's Clues videos so far
My 10 year old daughter was diagnosed that she had pneumonia and she was coughing and could hardly talk. So I bought her this video in order to return her speech. I have milliards of videos and this is the best video I've ever bought. Steve, Magenta and all Blue's friends have helped my daughter in order to return her speech.

Disney continues to "sequelize" its classic features. With smart foresight,the filmmakers choose to go with three snappy short films to comprise this 73-minutefeature with the Fairy Godmother granting wishes to various characters. a BORING movie -yawns-
-yawns- this movie was sooo boring! the plot had no foundation at all. it was all about 3 storys written by the mice. the mice were wonderful, but one thing that puzzles me is why Cinderella calls her husband, "the prince" i mean, if you are married, aren't you supposed to know your husband's name? if you cant sleep at nights, watch this movie and you are sure to be snoring at the first part of the movie. disney is so set on money that their main concern is money and not the quality of the movie. to me, all of disney's sequels are dumb and useless. the only good one to me was The Little Mermaid II. disney, STOP MAKING USELESS AND DUMB MOVIES!!

It's Captivating and Enchanting
Like one of the other reviewers, I rented this from the library for my daughter and I to view.No, it's not the original and it's does lack much of the creativity of the original, but my daughter and even her older brother find the mice telling a story enchanting and captivating.

I Thought It Was Brilliant
"Cinderella II: Dreams Come True" is a series of three stories featuring mostly characters from the original Cinderella and a few new ones. The animation is amazing --- it's filled with lush color (except for muted color when the story calls for it) and the animation looks very polished. It's really a sight to see.

4:3 was the original aspect ratio
For those of you who are hesitant to buy this because it says "fullscreen", please know that 4:3 was the original aspect ratio for this film. I wish the DVD box said so. But normally a lot of these movies are animated in full screen and then when they are released in theatres they are matted out so it fits the cinema screen properly. Great Special!!
Not quite as good as the Christmas and Halloween Specials, but still one of our favorites.The "Mayflower Voyage" bonus on the DVD is wonderful!!It is an historically accurate version of the Mayflower voyage that appeals to children because it retains the charm of the Peanuts characters without being too "cutesy."My second grade twins studied the pilgrims this year and I offered to share our DVD with their teachers.They had never heard of it before but they absolutetly loved it because it fit right into what the children were learning in the classroom. The Mayflower Voyage ended up being shown in virturally all of the primary grade classrooms in November.I am buying them their own copy to use next year!

Good Fun!!
I have to say that this is a Thanksgiving tradition where we watch this on TV and I just bought the DVD and we can watch it on our own time during the thanksgiving season.I love it when snoopy is cooking the thanksgiving dinner and get into a fight with the law chair.The bonus feature "The Mayflower Voyage" is educational but boring.I still give it 5 stars

Peppermint Patty needs a smack in the mouth.
Who the heck does she think she is? First she invites herself over to Charlie Brown's house for Thanksgiving, then she invites her girlfriend and Franklin too! What's up with that? Of course Chuck has no backbone and agrees to everything even though all he can make is popcorn and toast. Well thank God Snoopy comes to the rescue. Sure he gets in a fight with a lawn chair, but he gets the place set up.

Environmentally friendly animated film with a strong message that doesn't club anyone over the head--but it certainly can't be missed. Zak (voiced by Christian Slater) is a heavy-machine operator whose job is to push over any vegetation in his path. He's shrunken to wee size, however, when Crysta (Samantha Mathis), a fairy of the forest, not only finds him cute but wants him to see the results of his handiwork. They end up battling Hexxus, an evil force imprisoned in a tree, which now wants to destroy all of Ferngully. Robin Williams offers genuine comic relief as a bat named Batty Koda. Agreeable without making much impact, it's a piffle of a film for one that deals with such strong subject matter.Read more

With our world so much in trouble this "kiddie" movie is still as relevant today as when it was made, even more so...we really should be careful how we treat where we live and this movie reminds me to be aware of what's going on. I loved this movie and even as an adult, it was highly entertaining and thought provoking......

I agree with the last reviewer.When I saw this as a young child, the character of Hexxus scared me too.It really left a fairly permanent impression on my brain.Another such movie that freaked me out was The Secret of NIMH.You should at least watch this movie with your children instead of using it as a babysitter.

Nightmare inducing film for no ages...
When I was a small girl of six, I saw the film Fern Gully in the theater and it scared me sh...uh...poopless!! It was an OK flick up until the horrific smog monster appeared, killing all nature and singing about acid rain and sucking all living creatures dry and spitting them out like spinach!!! This movie traumatized me and gave me nightmares for at least a year or two!! This movie is a nightmare ride and if you REALLY want to show your kids a movie with a message about preserving the environment and living in harmony with nature, you'd be better off with Miyazaki's "Castle in the Sky" than with this film. Good movie with quality DVD treatment
(4.5/5 stars) In addition to a remastered and restored print with THX sound, there are some very good extras on this DVD. The movie itself is very good, though it drags on a bit. Also, the huffalump nightmare is bizarrely reminiscent of Dr. Seuss cartoons and is out of place in this film. Even the accompanying song sounds like one that would be in a Dr. Seuss cartoon. Otherwise, this one has a good amount of charm to it. Of course, it helps when the source material is superior, as the A.A. Milne books clearly are. Nonetheless, the artistic rendering and the actor's voices are indelibly linked with these characters, meaning Disney struck all the right chords when it brought these stories to the screen.

I saw this movie at Babies R Us in Indy today (8/3/06).
I just bought this off Ebay (unfortunately I got some foreign edition or something), because I was under the impression (and still am) that it's in the Vault.Well, I just saw a couple of them in the Indianapolis - Castleton Babies R Us.It was $21.99.Yes, the prices are still a lot better at Ebay, but I bet most are not the official versions.My movie plays well, but it's missing the two best bonus features, the Eeyore short and the Making Of.If you're in Indy and don't have this yet, buy it for your young ones before they're gone!

Wonderful Winnie
The whole family will find this cute, but very young children will get the biggest kick out of it. This is probably one of Disney's best. Charming story based on childrens books by A.A. Milne who wrote based on his son Christopher Robin's adventures with a bear at the zoo and the stuffed animals that were made for him. You can't beat the animation, narration, voices, or music used in this wonderful animated version of the story. This is a timeless classic that generations will enjoy. Get it for your kids and keep if for your grandchildren.

Outstanding Childen's Series with 'Peanuts' Characters Created by Minnesotan Charles Schulz
One of 13 kids videos that teach kids
Great cartoon! (And educational, too.)
This Is America, Charlie Brown cartoons were very innovative specials that featured the Peanuts characters in important moments in history, and gave kids (as well as parents) a fun insight on how certain histicorial characters (and their influences) came to be. This episode is about the how the Constitution was created, as well as how the legislative, executive and judicial branches affected the delegates. The special mainly revolved around Linus and Peppermint Patty, but the other usual characters were there as well (Schroeder was only in one scene, but he didn't have any line). It was good.
My 4 year old and my 6 year old enjoy this tape very much.They have learned much about the Transcontinental Railroad.This video is packed with a lot of facts, but done in a way that the children enjoy watching.I am well pleased that it is a part of our collection. ... Read more

My three year old son thinks it is too scary
Well, this is cute.I like it.But my three year old son (who normally likes Elmo and who normally like Halloween) is scared to watch it.He doesn't want me to play it--he asks for Dora's Halloween instead.

This is a good movie to learn about math skills
I enjoyed this movie so much 'cuz it help me thru my math skills and how I can use them to study and learn. This is the best school movie I ever enjoyed incl. the soundtrack. I was 5 or 6 when I grew up w/ this and I liked it a lot. I mean a WHOLE lot.
This has 2 much excitement
you tired of learning multipliplacation by talking and no videos?Well,those days are over because of Schoolhouse Rock!-Multiplication Rock (1973).This is more fun then just having to talk about multiplication and not understanding it.It has songs,too.

When I was in third grade I never could get my times tables down pat- the sevens and twelves proved especially tricky. So my mom checked out this video from the library, and that changed immediately. I could rattle off my multiplication tables as fast as everybody else after watching this only a few times. Amazing! That same year I got put in advanced math. Coincidence? I think not! All the songs were just so catchy. I loved it when I saw the NIKE commercial playing "Three is the Magic Number", that's one of my favorites. The Best Dinosaur Movie Out There! ;)
This is a perfect movie for the whole family to watch on a family night! Excellent for children to learn about dinosaurs and their history. Definitely recommend! =)

Dinosaur makes us roar!
I purchased this for my two kids...boys age 3 and 5 1/2.They both LOVE to watch this movie.Over and over again!The animation is excellent, the story a great "good triumphs over bad" tale.Not too scary, although a few moments that make us all jump!Great movie!I highly reccomend it!

I purchased this dvd for my grandson who just turned 3 & has a fascination with Dinosaurs. He was completely engrossed by the visual effects of the movie. The artwork makes the dinosaurs look realistic, opposed to one-dimension cartoon version movies.
