Old School High Impact Aerobics
Don't take my rating of three stars as necessarily an indication you shouldn't get this tape-just take it as a bit of a warning! Obviously, if you've read this far, you know it's from circa 1989 so it's VERY dated and at 20 minutes, way too short. There's no real stretch at the beginning as there should be, so I do that before popping in the tape and I play the aerobics part twice to get about 30 minutes or so of getting my heart rate up. That said, I was breathing hard and worked up a little sweat by the end so it served that purpose. Most of all, for those of us who have been working out since the eighties and don't care for the newer so-called "aerobics workouts" and just want to get the heart rate up without thinking about needlessly complicated choreography, (or jumping around on that darn step!!!) this is not a bad place to start.

Best video you can buy for weight loss
This video is definately high impact so if your joints can't take it I wouldn't recommend it but for those of you who can this is for sure a CALORIE BURNER. I lost about 30 lbs in a month (along with diet ) while doing this video everyday. You will feel like you have worked out after doing this video. It makes you feel great! ... Read more

Aerobic Does NOT Mean As Fast As Possible
The Kickboxing tape the only tape I use because it is the only one I can follow.I have tried the aerobic tape only to find that the movements are so fast that I can't do them because I can't keep up.It is as if she is trying to break a speed record to fit everything in.When I get workout videos, it is for the reason of getting a quality workout and there really is no quality to be found on the aerobic kickboxing workout simply because I can't work out as fast as the movements being performed.Aerobic doesn't mean as fast as possible.

UGH!
I found this video to be dry and therefore, I got very turned off. She is not talking when she is doing it and this does not make me feel enthusiastic. There is no technique. Her moves are fast but rather stiff. She has very bad form! She does not always do the same reps. The way that she does it, people can get hurt. Save your money!

It's good for a cardio workout.
I've read reviews of other people complaining about the fact that Stephanie Steele doesn't have the best technique and that she's not the most energetic workout instructor around, but I find this workout to be very good. I didn't buy this video to become the next Bruce Lee, I bought this video because I enjoy martial arts and I think kickboxing-styled workouts are pretty fun. It gets my heart pumping; I break a nice sweat; I can feel it in my legs the next day, and it really relieves stress. As I said, if you bought this video to learn self-defense techniques, you bought it for the wrong reason. In-fact, I think they have a disclaimer at the beginning of this video warning against such things. I purchased this video about 6 years ago and used it off-and-on for about three years until I decided to enroll in a Tang So Doo class. I trained for two years and learned proper technique and form. I trained in Tang Soo Do until I had to have surgery at the end of last year. I gave it up after that because I was afraid of injuring myself (the surgery wasn't the result of Tang Soo Do but I didn't want to take any chances) but recently, I started using this video again and I really enjoy it. Intense, Fun, and Professional!
Although I would say that I'm very picky and critical when it comes to any type of workout video, I found Michael Graves to be excellent.Although the filming quality of this video was not the greatest, the workout itself is fun, inspiring, and most importantly, it's challenging.My only complaint is that it's not long enough for me.. the full cardio portion is about 27 minutes.I definitely recommend it for anyone who is bored with their same ol' kickboxing routines.

Solid, fun step routine...
This is the only video I have by Gilad, but it's a good one!It is set of Waikiki Beach in Hawaii, overlooking the ocean.Gilad is joined by 2 male and 2 female exercisers. First you will warm up and stretch then proceed into 40 minutes of step aerobics.There are 4 step segments, 3 of them with simple combinations with basic step moves such as step taps, knee lifts, repeaters, V steps, turn steps, over the tops, all while incorporating simple arm movements.Each of the segments gradually becomes a little more intense, plus Gilad reminds you to add power moves if you want to bump things up a little.The final segment you will go through all the combinations in the previous three segments four or five times, by the time you are done you have definitely worked and will be feeling great.The steps and routines are easy to catch on to, those who are looking for complex routines and choreography will not find this video challenging.After the aerobics, you will cool down and move into a short abs segment, then it's on to the final stretch.
What a Blast!
I have always loved Gilad's aerobic tapes....but have never tried step aerobics...until now. This tape is a blast. I tried a few other steps tapes but put them away for now. Being new to step I wanted to get a good workout wthout fumbling through the steps. I have compared three step tapes and Gilad's method(if you haven't done step before) just makes tons more sense. It is hard to explain here, but the progression of the movements to take you to the next movement is fluid. Whereas others aren't as fluid and are better when you already know the moves. Annoying!
Gilad has a decent enough step work out, but his inane comments and the relentless polka music on Waikiki Beach is aggravating.If you want a serious step workout, try something by Gin Miller or Keli Roberts instead. ... Read more

Excellent workout video
This video is excellent if you are a beginner. It lasts about 30 minutes and it contains warm up, low impact aerobics and cool down so is a complete and safe workout. I used this video for about 7 months until I felt it was safe to move to harder aerobics. You can still use this workout video when you are in the mood for a light workout, like I do sometimes.

Low impct review
This is video that I would recommend for someone starting out. I would not suggest this video for intermediates and advance at all. She sounds extra hyper in this video like she shouting at you. This is an older video I happen to like her new ones better. I did not like the music all that match. She does about 20 minutes of aerobics and some toning. She uses a ball in the video, but you don't know that until you use the video. Ihonestly thought the tape was borning. It wasn't her best. Great moves, but too short!!
I bought this video because I love Donna Richardson's other videos andthought I would give this one a try. Although the moves are funky and fun,each segment is only about 7 to 8 minutes long making her segment onlyabout twenty minutes long. I barely break out a sweat! I wish her segmentwas a bit longer. The taichi warm-up and yoga cooldown are very slow movingand quite boring, they also don't seem to match with Donna's style. For agreat workout try Donna Richardson's three-day rotation which includescircuit toning, kick boxing and a dance workout.

This video is fun, funky and energetic.

Stands the Test of Time
Despite amassing a considerable collection of exercise videos in the past 10 years, the Reebok Versa Training series (Hi-Low, Dance Step, Abs, Legs) is undoubtedly my favorite.Hi-Low and Dance Step have the quality of being filmed, rather than taped. The background is artistic: montage images on a large screen; billowing curtains off to the side, nearly out of sight.The music is of the ambient-world variety, as in the Buddha Bar or Hotel Etages compilations.With such high production values, exercising never becomes a monotonous grind. However, the learning curve is not instant. You will have to stop and rewind the tape, but it is worth the effort.The Abs and Legs tapescan be learned in one or two viewings. The trade-off is that they're less visually satisfying, but they are well done and provide quality work-outs.

Worst One Ever
This is the worst video I have ever see Petra lead. First thing, her mouth isn't even moving with the words. Petra is usually much better at giving cues than she is in this video. I am an experienced exerciser and this one was just no good.

Bad dancing
The music is bad and so is the dancing.I donated this to my public library so that people can try it for free before committing any funds to it.However it is better than no exercise at all.

very disappointed
first, I didn't break a sweat, and I would consider myself an intermediate in the aerobic area.second, the music is not music.it's someone with a synthesizer hammering out a lame "latin-esqe" beat.I was looking good some fun and inspiring latin music and well this is NOT it. It is sooooo cheesy.This dvd *might* be good for the VERY early beginner or someone who's trying to learn english as a second language (the dvd is bilingual).Other than that, I can't see much use.

Good workout, but uninspiring music
The teacher has great talent, loose, fluid movement. The music is almost elevator music with no interesting points to keep you inspired, actaully annoyed me which is rare. Actaully reminds me of music at a carnival/circus. She breaks down the moves better then most dance DVDs, though not perfect & she definitely does not let you take a break to keep the heart-rate up.

Good low-impact aerobic workout
I found this video in my local library.It was my first exercise video.If I remember correctly, it was about a 45 minute routine, including warm-up and warm-down, plus a little segment at the beginning with advice about your target heart rate and other good exercise practices.It's all low-impact, but energetic enough to generate some sweat.If you're just starting to get in shape, you might not be able to finish it at first -- I didn't, the first few times -- but that's OK.Also, it might take a couple of viewings to get all of the dance moves right unless you're a quick study.The one reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is that the music is uninspired, although it has a beat and works fine for exercise.Anyway, this is a good video to challenge beginners with some creative moves.
