From what I read years ago, there were actually 8 (maybe 9)"Police Squad" episodes, but the network killed the series before all aired. Execs there apparently knew what we liked better that we. 5-0 out of 5 stars Top Secret
Excellent Movie.
5-0 out of 5 stars Top secret mission:funny!
This movie is the greatest action spoof I have ever seen in my life!I recomand this movie to anyone who likes hot shots.Rated PG for sexual humor and brief humorous language.

3-0 out of 5 stars You gotta be in the right mood...
Top Secret! is not a repeat of Airplane! The jokes and spoofs don't come as often, are not as funny, and have a cruder focus (should have been PG-13).This film certainly doesn't have as great a supporting cast. However, movies like this have their place, and this one's place is in a room full of friends and libations, where the expectations are not so high and the atmosphere in the room is a spark away from a laugh inferno.

5-0 out of 5 stars What's your vector, Victor?
This movie is hysterical!Talk about busting a gut!Who could forget the lines, "Don't call me Shirley" or "Yes it is, but that's not important right now!"The wordplay in this movie is sheer genius; something we don't really see all that often in modern comedies.I was a kid when this came out, so I'm not familiar with all the movies they spoof, but it's still rather funny.....even if you don't get all the jokes.

5-0 out of 5 stars WILDLY OVER-THE-TOP & SOMEHOW USUALLY VERY FUNNY
PART BURLESQUE - PART VAUDEVILLE -- BUT FUNNY ALTOGETHER
5-0 out of 5 stars My favorite
Great one-liners, puns and sight gags, all played with deadpan perfection. Don't let my simplistic description mislead you, though: this spoof of disaster films is no standup comedy routine. Rather, I find it quite simply the funniest movie I have ever seen. The comedy is innovative and, at the time it was made, unlike any other comedy. While some gags in the movie appear merely silly or sophomoric, to make humor this funny takes a good deal of intelligence. It is almost surreal to see Robert Stack, Leslie Nielsen and Peter Graves deliver such hysterical lines. Often imitated, never equaled. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great baseball parody makes this all worth while
The 15- to 20-minute baseball game sequence in "The Naked Gun" is - in my opinion - the funniest stretch of cinema in American film history. From Leslie Nielsen's rendition of the National Anthem under the guise of opera singer Enrico Pallazzo (shades of Carl Lewis' infamous attempt at 'singing') to his classic balls and strikes calls to the Queen doing The Wave and passing hot dogs, the Zuckers just absolutely nailed and perfectly zinged everything there is to zing about baseball. You can watch it a dozen times and discover something new every time.
5-0 out of 5 stars The Naked Gun - From the Files of Police Squad!~ Leslie Nielsen
The Naked Gun - From the Files of Police Squad!~ Leslie Nielsen is the first and best movie in the series. Leslie Nielsen is amazing in his role as Frank Drebin. The script is very well written and the jokes are totally hillarious. It is kind of strange and unsettling to see OJ Simpson a movie but at the time he was not loaded with the stigma that he is today. The music is amazing and the dialogue is crisp. I love the opening sequence with the police car going all over the place. It is a total spoof of the sometimes overly pretentious cop movies that seem to take themselves so seriously. This is an amazing movie that should not be missed and there are several funny scenes like the one with the old chinese food in his fridge, the office scene with the fish and the pen, the scene in the bathroom with the mike on and the hosptial scene to mention a few. Higly recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the better Ashton Kutcher Films
I don't know why so many people hate this movie.Ok,yes,it did have occasional boring parts, but the humor is great and has some pretty good jokes. What its about is a straight laced guy named Tom Stansfield(Ashton Kutcher) who wants to move up in his company and impress his grouchy boss(Terence Stamp). He is shocked to find out that the girl he has a crush on is his boss's daughter. When she asks if he has plans,he thinks its for a date, but its actually a favor asking to house sit.Soon enough,a bunch of uninvited guests show up and ruin the house. Then he gets a call from his boss saying to pick him up in 15 minutes!
5-0 out of 5 stars Couldn't stop laughing
This is one of the most hilarious movies I have ever seen (in a weird, rather perverted way, haha) and this R Rated Edition just added to the humor.
1-0 out of 5 stars Lower the Camp Bar...
Ashton Kutcher is to acting what Ed Wood was to directing....One difference was that Wood's movies were bad enough to make the camp category. Kutcher's are bad enough that I understand some European cities have banned them...mainly in France.

5-0 out of 5 stars What more can I say?
What more can I say about this comedic masterpiece. Is there anything that Trey Parker and Matt Stone can't do? They have looked into the face of adversity and farted right back at them Terrance and Philip style. This movie is a gem from start to finish.Trey keeps the slapstick going the whole time, something Family Guy likes to rip off of the comic duo often (as we have seen in a recent episode of South Park entitled "Cartoon Wars").The best thing about this movie is Kenny AKA "Little Bitch."When I thought i could't laugh anymore, his character always took it too the next level (much like in Orgazmo as well).

Basketball is one of my favorite movies. I'm a guy that has very limited shelf space when it comes to movies, but with Basketball there was no question. I put off seeing this movie for years, but when I finally did I couldn't get enough! The story, plot, jokes, and some original songs, are genious!!! 4-0 out of 5 stars " She was the kind of woman who made you want to drop to your knees and thank God you were a man!"
Watching this 1991 sequel to Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad, is like opening a time capsule.A slapstick comedy/satire set in Washington, DC, during the Presidency of George H. W. Bush, the plot involves the kidnapping of Dr. Albert Meinheimer (Richard Griffiths), the President's energy czar, who wants to reduce the country's pollution and its dependence on coal, oil, and nuclear power.Working as the Public Relations Director of the Meinheimer Institute, is Jane Spencer (Priscilla Presley), to whom Police Lt. Frank Drebin (Leslie Nielsen) was once engaged (until he was found in a compromising situation with the Queen in Naked Gun I).Jane is now the lover of Quentin Hapsburg (Robert Goulet), who has planned the Meinheimer kidnapping. 5-0 out of 5 stars Z-A-Z And Nielsen Team Up Again For Another Laugh A Minute Classic
Leslie Nielsen reprises his role as bumbling detecitve Frank Drebin in this hilarious sequel to the 1988 comedy hit "The Naked Gun". This second venture has Frank investigating a bombing in Washington D.C., only to find out about a plot to sabotage President Bush's (the father) environmental plan and destroy the environment, as organized by criminal mastermind Qunetin Hapsburg (Robert Goulet). It is up to Frank to stop this dastardly deed from taking place. It is also up to him to patch things up with his ex Jane Spencer (Priscilla Presley). This hysterical sequel to "The Naked Gun" brings back all the castmembers from the first one, as well as all the laughs. Another winner for Zucker, Abrahams, Zucker and Nielsen.

2-0 out of 5 stars Silly Entertainment
Here's another slapstick comedy that parodies the institutions of America circa 1991. How much has changed since then! The film begins with an imitation of George Bush the First's White House, with America's own version of Inspector Clouseau: Frank Drebbin. The usual improbable events occur, which may appeal more to teenagers than those over forty, except those with simple-minded tastes. The many sight gags may be funny in themselves, but do not create a consistent plot.

1-0 out of 5 stars What's that? Oh yes... utter bollocks.
Some clever bits. Chappelle does a decent job, but Breuer is a disaster. That "stoner" bit gets old mighty quick. I know that's his "thing," but, Come. On. It's just not funny. No. Really. It's not. Overall, it's not worth the film it's recorded on. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars More comedy classics from the files of "Police Squad"
"Police Squad," which aired in 1982, starred Leslie Nielsen as Detective Frank Drebin, Alan North as Captain Ed Hocken, Ed Williams as scientist Ted Olson, William Duell as Johnny the Snitch, and Rex Hamilton as Abraham Lincoln. This second tape preserves the final three episodes from the short-lived but well-remembered comedy created by the Zucker Brothers. Once again, I have included both the title that appeared on the screen and the one intoned by the narrator (in that order), as well as the "guest star" who is killed off in the credits that week.Read more
