falls short of the first in every way
The first Shootfighter was one of the best original American made martial art movies ever in my opinion.Unfortunately, part 2 got lazy.This time the action takes place in Miami.The story is nothing more than a sting operation to discover who is behind the illegal Shootfighting ring, which ends up going bad.William Zakba, Michael Bernardo and Bolo Yeung are the only 3 to return from the first film.Sorry to say, but their roles in this film were pretty bland.As for the other characters in the film, it pretty much goes the same way.The villain and leader of the Shootfighter ring plays Shingo's (Bolo Yeung) brother in this film, but his character too is unimpressive and not convincing.
Not good movie
I like the First movie, Shootfighters better than Second movie.It is not really interesting.

Fascinating Like a Train Wreck
With the variety of entertainment available on today's market, it is rare to find an action film that can actually hold a is even rarer to find one that does so simply due to the poor quality of the film. This movie is so utterly repulsive that one can't help but stare on, fascinated by the sheer lack of imagination, befuddled by the few snippets of dialogue that string together into a "plot" (and I use the term VERY loosley), and generally curious to see just how much worse the movie can get. This movie could be used as a form of capital punishment (as it seems repeated viewing could cause brain atrophy), except that such a punishment would most assuredly fall into the category of "Cruel and Uusual". Actually spending money on movies such as "Shootfighter 2" only encourages studios to produce more of its ilk. In short, not only would I recommend never watching this movie, but I would also recommend that any existing copies be destroyed. ... Read more

Fahey sharpens skills in "Virtual"
Jeff Fahey (Darkman III, Lawn Mower Man) has been making movies since 1985. He has put time and effort in his characters, starring in 42 films since 2000. He can be a vicious gunslinger (Silverado) then turn around and be a totally polished gentelman (Outback, later released as Wrangler). This ability to put himself in his character's skin makes him an interesting study. That's why he works so well in "Virtual Seduction".He portrays a ruderless man lost in fantasy. He's fueled by love, regrets and heartbreak over the death of his lover. But living in fantasy has it's price. Though not a big-budget film, it's entertaining and Fahey makes us empathize with his character's need to have another chance. Worth a look both to see this actor's skills and view a good sci-fi thriller.

The very best Highlander Season
It is great to finally watch the fourth season again,and for the very first time watch them in English and with Eurominutes both. I have been a Highlander Fan since the first (and only acceptable) movie 1985, and I was a fan of the series since it came to German in 1993 (I think). But I always could only see it in German dubbing. Until now. And the fourth season is the best one - dramatically, and for the quality of the show. The fifth is a close runner-up, because it has unforgettable episodes like Comes a Horseman, Revelations and Forgive Us Our Tresspasses; but the overall development of Duncan in the fourth Season is breathtaking to watch again, and than there are episodes like Timeless, Something Wicked and Deliverance, with a breathtaking Dark Duncan MacLeod who seems still a bit too harmless to be really an irredeemable bad guy, but also shows all the necessary Horseman-material. And in the end: Judgement Day! With it's first thrilling hints about hos it would look if it ever came to war between watchers and Immortals! WOW!
Changes in Highlander
A darker look at Duncan MacLeod, that showed variety in the show, if not it's best side. What a brilliant series

Highlander the Series Season1
Highlander the Series, Season 1 is not as flashy as later seasons, but the story line is good, the shows are well done, enjoyable and give you a solid base for Highlander lore. Hardcore Highlander Fan
I own all of the Highlander movies, as well as all of the Highlander: The Series 1-6. I don't think there was ever a better series on T.V. Not only is Adrian Paul fantastic to look at, the theme and messages were very well thought out. Since it appealed to a young(er) audience (& yes there was violence) but it taught overcoming adversity, fighting for what you believe in, and that doing the right thing is important (especially when you live forever) it spans all emotions: humor,love,sadness,tragedy and more, all of the things that make up LIFE. I highly recommend all of the series, start with the first and keep going til the end, it is better than any series on T.V. today.

Quite good
People don't believe me when I say that the TV serious had many episodes that are better than the films, but it's true. This series was very creative, and thrived in relative obscurity. Read more

Probable Cause
I enjoyed this movie and have watched it several more times since.The special effects leave something to be desired but I enjoyed the story.It has a good story and Michael Ironside is good in it.His character experience change and realizations as the story develops.You will especially like this movie if you are a fan of Michael Ironside.

Billy Blanks is very physical - don't like his haircuts
Back in Action is a lot of physical action - which is great if you are looking for that kind of film. Sharp improvement over part "III"
Like the third film, part "IV" has no story connection to any of the other films in the series and this trend would continue throughout the rest of the films. Even though it has no connection, it actually turnes out to be one of the best in the series. The major difference here is that there is an actual plotto the story with twists, not just no brain action like in the first two films. Don "The Dragon" Wilson this time is a Repo Man that repossesses a car that contains nuclear triggers. Of course this is very bad and the owner in turn kidnapes his daugher. Dumb move on his part. The action is tremendous and Wilson's acting is starting to improve. Again, this is one of if not the best making it a sharp improvement over the cliche prision picture that called itself "Bloodfist III". This gets a 5 star rating on the B-Action chart.

He ain't called "The Dragon" for nothin'
I just sort of stumbled onto the low-budgeted, popular kung-fu action series, BLOODFIST. Mind you, after Bloodfist II, these movies bare no connection to each other, so after Bloodfist II, it really doesn't matter what order you watch them in. Yes, very much the Martial-arts movie, but fights/fighting is perhaps even above-average, I wouldn't particularly choose Don Wilson or any of his opponents like Daniels or the rest seen here even if I was looking for a fight, based on this, are brutal, dirty, brawlish and relatively believable, except perhaps how much punishment Wilson and Daniels heap on each other before there is a winner. The fight in the restaurant towards the end, between Wilson and the two thugs, was pretty real, you could almost believe that might happen with 3 good street-fighters or something..its no messing around direct sort of fighting compared to some movie martial-arts.

Great Horror Movie from the 80s
This movie begins with a fraternity getting pledges ready for Hell Week. The first parts of the movie is just fraternity hazing, until one of the frat brothers is possessed by Acid Sid, a pledge that was killed in a hazing incident years earlier. The frat activities are hilarious to watch. "swallow the spoils of war!" This movie is very entertaining.
Horrible movie
I don't know how anyone could think this is a good movie.If possible, I wouldn't give it any stars.It's not even good to make fun of.Nothing horror movie-related even happens until at least 40 minutes in!Most of the movie just seemed like an excuse for people to babble and to display acts of homoeroticism, otherwise known as fraternity hazing.The acting is horrible, the plot is horrible, the writing is horrible...this movie has no redeeming qualities.Don't waste your time and certainly don't waste your money.

Interesting story lines:Eye of the Beholder & Avenging Angel
The first story line shows the conflict from the different pathways taken by an old close friend,Piton,an immortal, and Duncan MacLeod.Richie also is involved in this conflict.He is not yet an immortal and gets in overhis head.Personally, I like the psychology of it.There are good fightscenes plus a novel way for Richie to get away from Piton. In the end,Duncan must kill his old friend.He has only sorrow and no joy when thisis accomplished. The second story is along the idea that if a moderatelyinsane man becomes immortal after death, what does the immortality do tohim and his sanity.Clever story development.He becomes the granddaddyof all religious fanatics. Whereas before immortality, he was just anuisance, now he is dangerous because he begins to kill"sinners." Tessa meets an old friend of her university days andgets a rude awakening that causes her grief. Xavier St Cloud, The First
If you missed the first episode with Xavier St. Cloud, this is the episode you'll want to see. At the end MacLeod only takes St Cloud's hand and tell's Tessa, he'll remember. (St Cloud is killed in second episode of Unholy Alliance). The second episode is not quite as good, but "For Tomorror We Die" makes up for the second episode. SMOKE GETS IN YOUR EYES
FIREFIGHT is an above average, if somewhat implausible, thriller set in a smoldering forest fire.Our hero, played with astute machoism by rugged Steve Bacic, plots an armored truck robbery with Nick Mancuso, Sonya Solaama and Brad Rivoh, and to do so stages a fake fire to cover their deed.Of course, enter laconic Stephen Baldwin as Sonya's bad boyfriend and he wants all the money himself.The movie offers little novelty in its exeuction and the CGI effects are so obviously fake it brings the movie down a notch (see:Backdraft/Ladder 49 for real special effects).But it's harmless entertainment and Bacic has a strong screen presence, although the ending is a real pain in the neck!!

Some Like it Hot
"Firefight" is one of the better straight to video releases of the last few years.While a wildfire is raging, two firefighters, an armored car driver and his dispatcher hatch a plot to rob the car. It's a pretty elaborate scheme that involves detouring the truck around the fire to a secluded area and staging the robbery.No one is supposed to get hurt, and since the money is insured no one really suffers.Unfortunately, the dispatcher's boyfriend Wolf(Stephen Baldwin, playing a ruthless thug) gets wind of the scheme and wants the money for himself. Some pretty tense action ensues.

Highlander The Series Vol 5

McLeod returns from China only to have Richie tell him that Tessa is overdue.Driving to where she was last seen, a sheriff greets him with the news that three dangerous wanted men are in the area. Duncan drives Tessa and Richie to the police dept. so she can pay up a stack of speeding tickets. (Tsk!Tsk!) He awakens from dozing and hears shots fired in the building.Tearing off to the rescue, he is captured atthe elevator by the dangerous felon and his cohorts.As a hostage,hevolunteers to be 'killed'. Now follows a cat and mouse hunt and seek as hedispenses each bad guy to win the war. The very tender side of Duncan isshown when he has to take on the responsibility of protecting and caringfor a little girl whose father works in the building. [Literarylicense--who would take a little girl to his work and put her in a janitorcloset as big as two rooms together and leave her there all day alone?] Thestory puts the SWAP team of the police in a bad light of conflict with theone in communication with the killer.The team itself is efficient. highlander-ish
It was a fresh, well-written episode although it contradicted the Highlander movies. This episode was fantastic and memorable. Highlander: The Gathering
AWESOME. After the firts Highlander movie in 1985, Connor MacLeod returnsto action, as he realizes that he is not alone, and that he did notreaceived the Prize, but the Gathering, that Ramirez ones told him about,and the pursuit of the Prize has began in 1985, and it will be end untilonly one remains. So, Connor goes on search of Slan Quince, an evil andruthless Immortal, who kills the mortal familys of other Immortals, tryingto get them into his search, and winning them because of their phychicalweakness (something like that might have happend to Connor in the past).And sfter his wife's death in 1987 by a car accident, and having leftRamirez's sword close to his grave (after he won the man who killed him -The Kurgan), Connor takes an old friend's "Silver Braid" katana,and goes on Seacouver, where he finds again his long-time friend andkinsman Duncan MacLeod, who was born 74 years after him. Duncan, who wasalso a student of Connor's, is living for the last 12 years with TessaNoel, a artist. But now, Duncan must re-enter the Game, because if hedon't, he must have to face the death of his girlfriend, Tessa. There Can Be Only One.... Remember that rule?
This first episode of the great TV serie, is by far one the bset episodes of the series, not only because Connor McLeod (the original Highlander, played greatfully by Christopher Lambert) is in it, making with his brief-but welcomed- appearence, a linkage the movies with the series (unlikeothers television shows, that they are just take the basic theme of thefilm, and transfered to the series, making with that a GREAT bastardisationof the film), and provides the Immortal universe to the next step. However,this episode (as the whole series does) is centered to Duncan McLeod, aclansmen and student of Connor McLeod, who was out of the Game, and withthe help of Connor, he returns in it. Adrian Paul is wonderfull as DuncanMcLeod, a character verry different to Connors. Richard Moll is just good,but could be better.This episode, one of the best of the series (alongwith "Watchers" "The End of Innocense" and others), canbe easily called as "The Other Highlander 2", because is verrymuch better than this AWFULL movie.
