I Remember seeing it as a kid
I just bought it on vhs from amazon,,,I remember laughing my a** off as a kid,,,Looking very forward on receiving the old vhs tape. I wish they'd release the dvd,,,, I mean, if they released "Making the Grade" (1984) on dvd ,,they otta release this one.

it IS on DVD!!!
I love this movie. It's one of those cheesy 70's/80's films where the teenagers are full of hormaons and the pranks are played. However, unlike the million other's, this one rates right up there with the likes of Porky's! This comedy is filled with humour and some classic scenes thats sure to get the open minded veiwers laughing. It's not a kids flick, it's not something to sit around with grandma watching.
Should be on DVD

Terrible!!
This movie is SO bad!! This is a PRIME example of cheezy low budget 80's teen ... films. I mean I really have never seen acting this bad. Rent it and I can say you will laugh, but only at the stupidity of the acting, writing, jokes, the music, and it goes on. There are SO many loose ends in the film, it's just crazy. It's bad writing at it's worst. I just cant believe teens in 1989 would have liked this movie or thought it was funny.

SEXY TEENAGER RUNS AWAY FROM HOME
Renee Humphrey playing what has become a kind of standard role in semi exploitation teen movies: The sexy teenager runs away from home and is exploited by dubious types and becomes a (kind of) stripper. Ms. Humphrey was later to play the role of Didi in the delightful farce "Sex Monster" as the lesbian lover of Meryl Hemmingway. FUN AND A TOUCH OF SWEET ROMANCE WITHIN!WORTH TO SEE IT!

Serious contender for worst film ever made
Here is the premise for the entire movie . . . two pathetic people sit next to a trailer in a trailer park and complain about their lives to each other for 90% of the film.Then, the goofball husband lumbers over to the other side of the trailer park, gets it on with another woman and the hilarity escalates.That's it!!Camera quality is on par with footage produced on a $200 camcorder.The only redeeming quality is the blues soundtrack.Getting a tooth pulled without laughing gas was more fun than sitting through this.

Belly galore
Dana Andersen is beautiful and about 8 months pregnant in this movie. She also wears a bikini for quite a while. A must see!

The story of a concreter
This movie is so much more than most people realize. Hank is a concreter (i.e. he lays concrete and repairs concrete structures.) But in this movie the cracks are in his life caused by the stress of impending fatherhood and chronic underemployment. He stumbles through trying to find an easy way to hold it all together but basically making more of a mess of things. Some of his missteps are comic; some are tragic -- many are both. But as the movie progresses we learn along with Hank that it is his pregnant wife Jesse who will seal the cracks in his life and gives hope that Hank will find his way through in the end. ... One of the Best!!
I guess I don't have to write too much more praise about Poltergeist The Legacy, because I totally agree with the other five star reviews here.My complaint is with MGM!!They continually refuse to release this pilot, and the episodes that followed, on DVD!!MGM also ignores the previous series by the same Executive Producers, The Outer Limits. MGM: Wake Up!! We want these series, season by season, on DVD boxed sets!!!

Good Actors, Good Pilot.
The Show's Pilot originally aired back in 1996 showing promise. For anyone that had a remote interest in Horror/Scifi shows this show had them from the beginning. The cast itself worked well with each other and gave some great performances considering most of the action seens required them to visualize most of the things they were fighting. The only down side to this pilot is the demise of one of the characters which leads to the introduction of another with her young daughter. If this was a stand alone movie it wouldn't be so bad...watch the season as it unfolds and the ones that come after it and you'll know she should have been the one to go.

first REaL horror film
i really wanted to see a horror film that actually looked good besides attack of the killer tomatoes (yuck). only got it for Adam Ant...
The movie is your typical cheesy horror movie. I was pretty disapointed because Adam Ant's part is very small (you don't see him until the very end- but his charactor is mentioned thru the movie)but he is definately the best part. As usual he steals the spotlight away from everyone else in the scene with him. It also has Richard Blade who was a famous DJ in LA for KROQ. He's pretty funny in the movie. Would I watch it at all if Adam Ant wasn't in it? Nope. But if you collect movies with him in it- I'd recommend it. He looks very handsome in it and he's very charming. He is a GREAT bad guy. ... Horrific and disturbing
On May 14, 1985, a fifteen year old girl named Paula Cooper committed a particularly vicious crime that eventually landed her on Indiana's Death Row. After skipping school for an afternoon of fun--which included drinking and drugs--with a few friends, Cooper and her pals arrived at the home of an elderly woman named Ruth Pelke. The girls managed to get inside the house by inquiring about Bible classes taught by the older woman. Once inside, Cooper stabbed Pelke over thirty times so she and her friends could steal ten dollars and the woman's car. The subsequent trial, supposedly marred by the bad advice of a public defender, resulted in a death sentence for Cooper. As the youngest individual on Indiana's Death Row, it was inevitable that Cooper's case would draw attention from liberals. Millions of pleas for leniency poured in from around the world, and even members of Pelke's family eventually supported the idea that the girl should receive a commutation from the governor. On July 13, 1989 Cooper escaped her fate, but received a sixty-year sentence in the process (eligible for parole in twenty-six years). As far as I know, she still resides in prison somewhere in Indiana.
the dvd quality is no fun
Warning! Great movie but the dvd is no fun at all. The dvd looks cheap and my first though was that I bought some kind of copied version. The only extra related to the movie is a trailer. Not a great DVD, but the film is superb.
I've been looking for this film on a good format for years.I even shelled out first-run prices for a rental VHS copy years ago, just to have a good copy for keeps.So I was very happy upon discovering this release of Fun on DVD.

Hangman's Curse Good Movie PG-13
Abel Frye, a troubled teen accused of stabbing a young girl to death, committed suicide in what is, ten years later, known as the `forbidden wing'. Ten years later, students at Rogers High School believe the spirit of the tormented teen returns, as students on the football team begin to see hallucinations of the dead pupil. Nate and Sarah Springfield and their two teenage children go undercover to solve the mystery claiming the students in the school with a deadly force that can only end in tragedy, after finding out you can not annihilate what you cannot come across.
Hangman's Curse
Not a bad movie, but unfortunately, it doesn't convey the ideals that the book conveys. At least not as strong as the book. In the book, the kids are never in disagreement with their parents ideals, while in the movie they are. You would never know it's based on a Christian book, until maybe the last scene.

I went into this movie with low expectations.I was just hoping that it would keep me interested and for the most part it did.There are certain sections where the acting is dismal and Frank Peretti is way over the top but funny (as a mix of Adam Sandler and Christopher Lloyd!).What I liked though was how it kept you guessing as to what was really going on at Rogers High School.I enjoyed Elisha and Elijah as a sort of Spy Kids meets Scooby Doo detectives but did believable job.All of the kids seemed like typical high school kids with their whatever-attitudes.I did guess who was behind everything about 55 minutes into the movie but still found it interesting how it was done.If this was a regular movie, I would have rated it lower, but for a Christian movie (where there really isn't a lot of good ones), it was enjoyable and even slightly creepy near the end (don't want to give anything away though but you might start thinking something is on you!).Also, I checked this out from the library, so it was free, which also helps.I also think that the Christian overtones were not in your face as Elisha and Elijah use their actions more than words to show their faith.I am also glad for a logical ending more than an unbelievable supernatural ending.I also enjoyed the scene in the beginning with the class discussion about prayer in school.A very good point.I have not read the book, but enjoyed the movie despite flaws.If you have a chance, go ahead and check it out.There is no cursing, although you get to hear Frank Peretti say: "A chemical booty call." ... Buy this because it is so bad, it's good.
This is the lowest budget movie ever.The only saving grace is the way too low-cut swimsuit shot near the beginning of the movie.Well, they had to do something to make it interesting.

This movie's SUPPOSED to be stupid.
This movie was written with every intent to make you role your eyes and laugh.And, for me, it succeeded very well; I didn't stop laughing through the entire thing.It takes nothing seriously, especially itself (that's called a farce).It pokes fun at the film industry and itself.If you want to take a break from reality, be thoroughly entertained, and learn nothing of redeaming value, this is the perfect movie.

WOW! WHAT A HORRIBLE MOVIE!
Ok, first off, I love Corey Feldman and Corey Haim, and I love movies, but I almost couldn't even finish this movie. They get fired from their job and kicked out of their apartment, so Feldman's uncle that is an ex-pirate actor magically warps them to his island to become scuba instructors, but his uncle's old on screen nemesis tries to take over the island and blah blah blah. I would like to meet the guy that wrote this script and thougth he had something special. A dissapointment to Lorenzo Lamas fans!
This movie only had 2 offical fight scenes! And there were some additional "fight scenes" where Lorenzo gets jumped, and one where he goes into this guys night club and beats up a few men. Not incredibly bad storyline, but almost no fighting! Lorenzo doesn't even do his jumping pump roundhouse (a move which he is most notable using in his TV show Renegade).The movie came out one year before his show started, so I guess he was desperate for a role, so he didn't mind starring in this film.Lorenzo plays Miles Keane, a night club owner and photographer. He payed off his loan to the guy who gave it to him by fighting for him. His employer wants him to fight again, he refuses, and then gets framed for murder. Lorenzo has to fight again to save his mom and his girlfriend. This movie only gets one star because Lorenzo Lamas is in it.

An action movie for the intelligent movie goer.
This a kickboxer movie with a story line, in - depth character studies and some downright good acting.Throw in some great music numbers for background and you've got a winner.
