This Movie Is So Wonderful. I Used To Watch It. And It Was So Cool. The Movie Starts Off As Fozzie Bear And The Gang Are In The Truck. They Were Going To Fozzie Bear's Mother's House that's on a Farm. Kermit, His (kermit) Nephew Robin, And Fozzie Are Inside The Truck. And Fozzie Is Driving The Truck. While The Others Are In The Back Of The Truck. Next We See Fozzie Bear's Mother Getting Ready To Go On A Vaction When An Old Man And His Dog Came to the house. The Old Man And His Dog Were Going To Spen Christmas At The House While Fozzie Bear's Mother Goes On Her Vaction. Until Fozzie Bear And The Gang Arrive At The House Before They Came Into The House They Slipped On A Frozen Ice Patch. Once They Were All Inside The Old Man Didn't Like To Have Anyone Else Spending Christmas With Him And His Dog. This Was HORRID!!
My class read "Bridge" for a reading book. When we got to watch the movie in clas I thought that it was the worst movie EVER. I thought the acting was EXTREMELY terrible. They left out alot of things that make the story the way it is. They never even had a rope for the 2 to swing across to Terabithia on. [In the book Leslie says that the rope is the only way to get into Terabithia] They just use the branch that's there in the beggining. The branch, in the book, doesn't come in until the last chpter or 2. Another thing was that they cut out 2 of the sisters and Leslie looked like a boy way too much. I hated this movie. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS PEICE OF JUNK!

A total disappointment
When I discovered that a movie was produced that was based on Patterson's book, Bridge to Terabithia, I was very interested in viewing it.After seeing the movie, I was extremely disappointed in the film version.I felt that it did not develop the characters, plot, and theme to the point that Patterson had.
Time for a remake...
I insist on this novel every spring with my Grade 5 students - a perfect book for reading aloud - jewel-like prose, great messages, palpable relationships. I'm grateful this film exists, since we get a good chance to compare such adaptations with originals. Both kid actors are adequate, often quite natural, occasionally stilted. A strong sense of poignancy never quite evolves, however. Or poverty. Or personal conflict...I'd suggest a lush, more developed remake, motion-picture length, which includes scenes and characters not explored in this version. It would become sacred to English teachers across this continent. Just like the newest Secret Garden, or Narnia, perhaps. ... Read more

Docudrama Suffers from Vagueness
This docudrama about Dietrich Bonhoeffer's wrestling with putting his Christian faith into action while living in a Nazi context suffers because it marginalizes Bonhoeffer's faith and instead plays up the politics of the German resistance movement to which he belonged. It falls far short of the power of the movie ROMERO, although Bonhoeffer's story is no less powerful than that of Archbishop Oscar Romero, murdered by the El Salvadorian fascists during mass for his outspoken commitment to Christ incarnate in the people of El Salvador. What can one say? This is the story of a upper class German who decided to revoke the Nazi's. A true story that demonstrates what courage can provoke in people. Although Bonhoeffer dies for his believes, he lives eternally in the human fabric. He was and is an asset. A must see film for students of German resistance.

Pleasant family movie for horse lovers
This is a nice, very G-rated family movie, particularly for those who enjoy a western setting and lots of horses. Loosely based on Mel Tillis' teen novel, "The Wild Horse Killers", it tells the story of Hank (a late teens Linda Blair, in one of her better roles), an college girl home for the summer at her father's ranch. When she sees wild mustangs being rounded up for the purpose of being killed and turned into dog food, she decides to singlehandedly herd the mustangs 150 miles away to a protected federal park.

"The Worst Yet"
I have always been a Corey Haim fan and have recently been trying to collect all of his movies...Oh,What a Night happened to be one I was lacking. Usually, just having Corey in the movie is enough for me. I thought I had seen the worst with Demolition University, but this movie is the very worst of the Corey films I have viewed! Not like the Fast Getaway 1 & 2 movies or any other of Corey's movies..this one has no action, no comedy...Corey barely even moves in this film! During most of the movie, he is standing somewhere gazing at one thing or the other, or just into space...Corey doesn't even have a great amount of lines! I thought I had hit bottom with Fever Lake, but NO! Compared to this movie, Fever Lake rates 5 stars on your scale. Don't waste your time or money or your thoughts in thinking that "something" has to happen sooner or later to make this movie worth watching...That's what I kept telling myself as I yawned my way through this BORING(a word I never use to describe a Corey movie) attempt at acting. Just don't bother! Trust me!

My best friend raved about this move to me when we were in high school, and when I finally had a chance to see it, I fell completely in love. This is a gem of a caper film, with fantastic performances by Peter Ustinov and a very young Maggie Smith. Anyone who liked Alec Guinness in the "Lavender Hill Mob" should also like this one, and Ustinov's role is similarly understated and brilliant. Bob Newhart and Karl Malden also have a great parts as bank employees, putty in Ustinov's fingers.Read more

A refreshing twist on a Holiday classic
My wife and I grew up in New Hampshire where this version takes place; so we can easily relate to the characters and setting.Asside from this, we both really like this version because it places the story in a more comfortable setting in general; early America versus England.

Wonderful Childhood Movie!
This movie, although filmed in 1994 (12 years ago), still touches my heart. Eleven year old Mackie (Mac) is having a hard time getting over the death of her FATHER, so when the oppertunity to join a gang/band called THE CHALLENGERS presents itself, she jumps at it. This is her chance to pretend that her Father is still alive. The only catch is, the Challengers only accept boys in their group...therefore Mackie becomes "Mac Dales", Mackie's "Cousin" and makes some new friends while still trying to hold together her recent friendship with Jenny, the first person (and only girl) to befriend her at the Rec. Center in her new town.

This was one of my all time favorite movies!! It was filmed just outside of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada (my home town)in Stonewall.My cousin also did the make up for the movie and I have some pictures of the making of the movie!Anyways... this was a GREAT movie and if you can get a hold of it...you'll LOVE it!

One of the best movies of the 1990's
Let me start by saying that i am not normally a fan of TV movies, i have often found them formulaic, bland compromised and badly acted. This film is superbly put together, while watching you cannot help but feel the pain of the victims and their famillies, the director took great pains to show the human side of the horrors which Gacy inflicted on Chicago. The face of this sadness is the detective who is hunting Gacy for the abduction and murder of teenagers, we see him deteriorating mentally throughout the film, often crying tears, he suffers physically and emotionally simply by being in proximity to the horror of the investigation. On the other hand we have Gacy played brilliantly by Dennehy, whoever cast him in this role deserves a lot of credit, he even looks like Gacy. Dennehy injects a massive amount of unpleasantness into his portrayal of the sadistic killer, when he leers and shows his teeth biting his lower lip as he taunts the cops you get the measure that this is a fully fleshed three dimensional monster you are watching. The film is extraordinarily sensitive to the subject matter and despite (or because of) being low on gore the overall effect is completely unsettling and incredibly disturbing, we do not see the horror but it is suggested brilliantly, from the droning noise of the furnace in Gacy's house to the puddles of filth accumulating on the surface of the soil in the crawlspace under his house where the bodies are buried, we take a peek into hell. The pacing and tension throughout the film is maintained well despite the long running time of over three hours. Again, the people who made the film should be congratulated that their work was not only immensely enjoyable, it really made me feel for the victims of this real-life monster - so few serial killer movies bother with the victims, relegating them to meat puppets to be ripped apart in the most vulgar way possible. The horror component of the film is just barely surpassed by the humanity of the detective at the end, in truth it seemed the detective was himself battling Gacy for possession of his own soul throughout. When asked how he feels after the gruesome discovery is made he utters a single word which couldn't be surpassed in my opinion...'sad'.
Perfect Choice For Dennehy To Play Gacy
I taped this off the tv i long time ago now, & i was astounded by Brian Dennehy's sheer power in this role, he is just so brilliant for the role, if you would put a photo of the real John Wayne Gacy alongside with one of Brian Dennehy, you would swear they are almost twins! Kudos goes to actor Michael Riley who played the detective detrmined to bring Gacy to justice for the brutal crimes Gacy commited, as a result of his relentless pursuit of Gacy, his home life suffers beacuse of this. One of the best acting roles of a real life Serial Killer i have ever seen.

Didn't meet my standards
I'm a huge fan of the TV show, and almost any episode leaves my sides hurting from laughing so hard. The movie, while funny, at best elicited chuckles from me. Some of the writing was clever, but the story just didn't reach the high standards set by years of the show. The magnetism between Deputy Dawn and Harold should have been developed better, and why bother with the flashback sequence? I would have loved to see them make more of regular minor characters like Winston Rothschild III instead of wasting time on less-developed characters like the Sheriff. Red could have challenged the Rich City Guy to a winner-take-all word challenge, or set up an "out-innovate your opponent" contest. The duct-tape sculpture contest device was a bit weak. Maybe there's just a point you reach where it's just too late to make a movie spin-off of a project. I'd actually rate the DVD extras as much more valuable than the movie itself. They give a lot of insight into the show, the creative forces behind it, and the amazingly talented guys who make up the cast. I'm just disappointed that the movie had great material to work with and didn't live up to its potential. Buy it for the extras, not the movie.

OK, I Guess
Interesting story line, but acting is flat and characters not very well developed.The actor who plays the immoral doctor is good at being full of fear and guilt, but doesn't have a personality beyond that. Could have been done better.

Modest but pleasing modern noir
Henry Czerny plays a married Doctor ,asked by his vacationing neighbours to keep an eye on their nubile teenage daughter,who is being harrassed by a fellow student unable to accept the end of their affair.An affair develops betweem them and she films him getting dressed afterr a sex session,which is somewhat unfortunate as she is shortly afterwards murdered,placing him in an invidious position as he wrestles with both conscience and adesire to protect his freedom,marriage and social standing. I disagree....
I first saw this movie last fall on one of the pay movie channels and enjoyed it. While it certainly is not a work of artistic genius, it's a fun movie to watch late at night and I thought it had sufficient eroticism and suspense to keep me watching. It is the sort of movie that won't require much thinking but it fulfills its purpose of entertaining and I tend to be one that is very critical of the mindless material the movie industry now releases. ... A love story first and foremost
I first saw this movie on television when I was a child. The story of the birth of Christ having always been my favorite in the Bible, I was thrilled to see it acted out. This movie gives you a 'what might have been' view of the lives of Mary and Joseph, something that the bible failed to give. Mary and Joseph where a young couple deeply in love, but the discovery of Mary's pregnency, plus Joseph's involvment with the Zelot's, almost drove them apart. We also get a look into the lives of Elizabeth and Zacarias, the parents of St. John. This movie give a completely human view of all characters in what is the most famous story in history. ... Interesting story line, but acting is flat and characters not very well developed.The actor who plays the immoral doctor is good at being full of fear and guilt, but doesn't have a personality beyond that. Could have been done better.

Modest but pleasing modern noir
Henry Czerny plays a married Doctor ,asked by his vacationing neighbours to keep an eye on their nubile teenage daughter,who is being harrassed by a fellow student unable to accept the end of their affair.An affair develops betweem them and she films him getting dressed afterr a sex session,which is somewhat unfortunate as she is shortly afterwards murdered,placing him in an invidious position as he wrestles with both conscience and adesire to protect his freedom,marriage and social standing. I disagree....
I first saw this movie last fall on one of the pay movie channels and enjoyed it. While it certainly is not a work of artistic genius, it's a fun movie to watch late at night and I thought it had sufficient eroticism and suspense to keep me watching. It is the sort of movie that won't require much thinking but it fulfills its purpose of entertaining and I tend to be one that is very critical of the mindless material the movie industry now releases. ...
