5-0 out of 5 stars More than 100 minutes of pure fun !
I must say I decided to review this film because it had so much negative reviews. I LOVE this film. It's pure fun and completely crazy and it's fine like that. If you want to watch an art film, don't watch an Elvis Presley film.

3-0 out of 5 stars DANCES WITH WOLVES of 1968
Before people lose their minds about the title of my review, just think about this: I genuinely wonder how the Native American community viewed this film when it was released.Sure, the stereotypes we see in STAY AWAY, JOE are now considered highly offensive--that Native Americans are irresponsible and alcoholic and such--but were they thrilled to be shown in a movie where they weren't getting shot off a horse by John Wayne?

5-0 out of 5 stars PLEEEEEASE release this jewel on DVD!!!!!
This is one of those movies to which you can just curl up on the sofa and enjoy bigone simplistic but romantic views on social relationships. The movie, of course, is the product of its era, with all the expected restrictions to female sexuality and expression. However, get past that and enjoy the funny and warm performances. The DVD version is eagerly awaited since it's basically impossible to catch it on TV and, who has VHS only nowadays???

5-0 out of 5 stars good rainy day movie
I stumbled upon this movie when I was channel surfing and immediately got hooked.I quickly jumped online to see if it was available for purchase.I was really disappointed that it's not available yet in DVD.$40 for a used VHS is really too much. It's a wonderful romantic movie about double standards between men and women. It's filled with stars. There's Rod Taylor (better known from Hitchcock's "The Birds"), Robert Culp ("I Spy"), Jane Fonda, Cliff Robertson, and Jim Backus ("Gilligan's Island).I concur that the restaurant scene is really funny. Excellent movie!!

5-0 out of 5 stars DVD, PLEASE!
This is a wonderful little escape from the world film. I'm astonished that it isn't out on DVD. I really like this movie, but am not going to pay $45 for a used vhs version - ridiculous. It's a shame that this one, and "Any Wednesday" aren't out on DVD yet. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars refreshing new Elvis musical
A fun musical comedy, THE TROUBLE WITH GIRLS isn't the usual Elvis Presley film but it's completely charming with it's faithful period recreation and fine supporting cast.
4-0 out of 5 stars Ignore the title
To start with, the film's title gives no indication whatsoever ofthe film's content, and can be seen as a cynical ploy to attract a greater box office audience. This may have been achieved (although whether The Trouble With Girls made money is debatable, as the sheer size of the cast, and the period costumes, vehicles and settings would have made this anything but a low-budget outing), but it was at the expense of the film's reputation. It is unfairly criticised among hardcore Elvis fans as a stinker among his movies, when in reality it is certainly one of the five best that he appears in. The King is cool, assured, and in control. And he looks better than ever.
1-0 out of 5 stars PLEASE DON'T BUY THIS THING!
This is certainly the WORST movie that Elvis had anything to do with, unless you count the final televised which can be just as disturbing and difficult to watch at this "ATOMIC" bomb. I enjoyed SEEING the sweet little Anissa Jones, John Carradine, Dabney Coleman, and Vincent Price, but beyond that this movie is absolutely unbearable. Please avoid even VIEWING it. Bottom of the trash can, literally. ... Read more
