5-0 out of 5 stars God didn't put us here to spend our lives in cubicles!
When I first saw this little film, it was aired on Comedy Central with none of the fanfare that it should have received since it's initial release. In fact, Office Space has reached cult status for a reason. It's funny, witty, and always makes you laugh. The cast includes Jennifer Aniston in a supporting role as the waitress/girlfriend of Ron Livingston's character who has an epiphany during a group therapy session. Alex Wentworth plays his girlfriend in her shorter role. Anyway, I don't remember the man who plays the Arab employee and friend of Ron's character but he should be applauded for his role. Newsradio Stephen Root should have his own sitcom for his performance as Milton, the poor picked on employee who reaches a breaking point in the film. Diedrich Bader plays the neighbor next door who offers wisdom to Ron's character in the film. Mad TV's alum Gregory Herman plays another colleague and computer geek. Another Mad TV alum Orlando Jones plays a guy selling magazines door to door. HE turns out not to be the person you think he is. Gary Cole has a memorable performance as the boss who thinks he knows it all but doesn't know anything. Movies like Office Space make me understand what we have become for those of us in the office. Imagine, if we just didn't have to work anymore. That would be heaven for me.

4-0 out of 5 stars Off the Hizzy!
This movie is made for the DVD format.Repeat viewings. While some may call it over rated, and unfunny, those would be individuals who do not know the definition of funny. Please consult Wester's dictionary, available for sale at this website.
5-0 out of 5 stars FUNNY AND DELIGHTFUL COMEDY
"Office Space" is a very funny comedy. Many parts of the film were a delight. In the beginning, when everyone is stalled in traffic, I knew the feeling. Working at Initech Corporation as a computer programmer makes for one dull job in the life of Peter Gibbons (Ron Livingston). Besides having a job he hates, he is enclosed in a cubicle as everyone else is. Then there is his boss Lumbergh--an arrogant jerk. Life for Peter Gibbons is just one boring day after another. That is until he decides to go see a counselor at the suggestion [and demands] of his then girlfriend.

4-0 out of 5 stars This tape is a collector's item.
This tape is more of a "must have" for Jerry Seinfeld fans or diehard SNL fans. For others, you may want to think twice before spending good money on this one. That is only because of the length, a mere 32 minutes (and that includes the video company's opening credits). The comedic skits and comedy bits are very good. I believe this originally aired in 1992, a couple of years BEFORE the TV show "Seinfeld" hit its prime. Jerry's fans will like this tape a lot. Especially the "Superman" sketch and the "game show" sketch (where the contestants answer questions, using Jerry's trademark delivery style). Again, if you're a fan of anything "Seinfeld," grab it while you can. It already seems like a collector's item to me. If you're an SNL fan, be aware that the only skits on this tape (except for the opening bit, before the monologue) are the ones in which Jerry appear. The episode's other skits are not included. For fans of both Seinfeld and SNL, definitely purchase it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Highly enjoyable. Jerry at his Jerry-best.
This is a very enjoyable video if you are a Jerry Seinfeld fan. It starts with a sketch (4.10 minutes) with Phil Hartman playing Clinton and Dana Carvey playing Brown. They are talking about a political debate they are about to have. 4-0 out of 5 stars A real classic - collector's item
If you can still get your hands on this one, do it.This features Jerry at his younger comedian days along with the talented crews at Saturday Night Live.See how his nothingness evolved into His Royal Nothingness. ... Read more

I found this along with a couple more "Best of" tapes at a local Wal-Mart for only $3.88 each. This tape is great well worth the price.I loved the Clinton sketches.

5-0 out of 5 stars Boy, all of history should be this funny!
Darrell Hammond's "Bill Clinton" and John Goodman's "Linda Tripp" have to stand as two of the funniest comic performances even done on the long-running television show.4-0 out of 5 stars It was alright.

3-0 out of 5 stars Well it wasn't bad
Overall it was just an average video. The title is somewhat deceiving since not all the skits were game shows. What was disappointing was in some sections they didn't show all of the game shows they were parodying.

3-0 out of 5 stars Varies wildly from hysterically funny to downright awful.
As you might expect, this "Saturday Night Live" tape is a lot like the show. Some of the skits are fantastic while others fall flat on their face.4-0 out of 5 stars Great Collectoin of SNL sketches
I definately recommend you buying this collectoin of SNL Game Show Parodies. It features some of the greatest SNL sketches ever. One is Dysfunctional Family Feud, which features Chris Farley at his greatest. Also, you'll enjoy Jackie Roger Jr.'s $100,000 Jackpot Wad, which features Billy Crystal as Sammy Davis, Jr. Pay attention to Rajeevs face when Saammy gives the clue for asparagus. And David Spade gives a great performance in Geek, Dweeb, or Spazz. The only thing that I think hould've been included is the rest of the Stand Up and Win sketch. Overall, this really is a great video. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Old politics still funny today
The SNL Presidential Bash is the funniest collection of skits based on a theme (e.g. Halloween, Christmas, specific cast members).Even though all of the Clinton skits are missing(the anthology was produced during the 1992 election), the video contains skits that are funny even if you have superficial knowlege of politics. The video spans from the early years to the golden years (Carvey, Hartman, Farlye, et al.).In the early years, Chevy Chase interprets the bungly President Ford and Dan Akroyd plays a President Carter who knows exact details of every insignificant thing.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Hillarious Video - also to clear up a few things...
Not ALL of the sketches on this video were from Saturday Night Live. In fact, if I remember this correctly, this was actually a prime-time special which aired sometime in the early 90s. I can at least remember watching it on TV back then. These are all sketches by Jack Handy, and its actually mostly original material; maybe a couple or more of the Toonces sketches were actually from Saturday Night Live. So basically this video is a showcase of Jack Handy's humor.
5-0 out of 5 stars Best of Toonces & Friends
Toonces & friends was so funny! It's a must own!!! Needs to be re-released and in DVD format. I would certainly buy it for myself and for friends. It would make a great stocking stuffer.

5-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely classic...
Remember when Saturday Night Live was funny? Well, if you don't remember Toonces, then you missed out on some pretty hilarious skits. This particular video is entitled "Toonces and Friends," which kind of urks me because I wanted more of Toonces and less of his friends. However, most of the skits are funny, such as Coach Dobbs, Scruffy the Rat and Abe Lincoln and His Time Machine. The only one I didn't find funny at all was that bizarre Fugitive Couple skit. It was dumb.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars "Jerry Steve Dave - The Magic Man"
Like alot of you, I think this collection is good but there was better Tim Meadows stuff. Does anyone remember the skit where Jeff Goldblum was interviewing him for a job and he was wearing the "Hawaii 88" shirt. I was in tears laughing at that one.

5-0 out of 5 stars PUT IT ON DVD!
He's certainly deserving of a dvd for his best material...

4-0 out of 5 stars A good tribute that could have been just a little better.
My thoughts on the 'Best of Tim Meadows' are a bit mixed.First of all, it's great to see that this best of set was made.Meadows was a cast member of SNL at least as long as anyone since the show's inception (perhaps the longest). He is very deserving of this recognition. During that time he played all kinds of characters, from tough to sensitive, from goofy to dead serious. He also had a very wide range.Therein lies a big flaw with this tape. While it contains many skits that are very funny in general, it also leaves out many that showed Meadow's true talent.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars EDDIE MURPHY'S GREATEST COMEDY PERFORMANCES ON SNL!
Eddie Murphy's best character skecthes performed on Saturday Night Live television history in the eighties was his "Mister Robinson's Neighbourhood", "James Brown", "Stevie Wonder","Buckwheat" and serial killer assassin "John DavidStubbs". Are simply the best over it's top to a funny comedian likeMurphy himself!

5-0 out of 5 stars Eddie Murphy at his most memorable best.
That Dutch person must not understand American comedy. This video is a must for anybody whom Eddie Murphy ever made laugh. This is a wonderful set of Saturday Night Live sketches by one of the greatest comedic geniusesever to grace SNLs stage.I wish they had more of the Buckwheat sketches, but they do have my favorite of all time: Mr. White. This makes the wholevideo worth buying.

Editorial Review

Mike Judge, the creator and voice of MTV's insouciant Beavis and Butt-head characters, made his feature film directorial debut with this full-length B&B misadventure, which finds the boys going on a cross-country adventure after their all-important television set is stolen. Fans of the now-defunct TV show will obviously enjoy this film the most, though almost anyone with a passing awareness of the characters will find something to chuckle about. (The funniest recurring gag finds beleaguered B&B neighbor Tom Anderson constantly sabotaged by the guys while on vacation.) Celebrity voices are fun to pick out, particularly that of David Letterman, who rather appropriately plays Butt-head's long-lost father. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars It's quite surprising how much it holds up
Before South Park came on the air and offended practically everybody with cripple fights to cooking parents in chili to saying the S word a record 162 times, there was Beavis and Butthead. Found on MTV, the pair were crude and just plain moronic who laughed at even the mention of dirty words bringing out the popular catchphrase "uh-huh, you said ". After the show ended, the pair got their own movie and became a surprise hit so who would've guessed that it's actually still funny?
3-0 out of 5 stars There's lots of 'slots' in Vegas
The hit MTV cartoon Beavis & Butthead from creator Mike Judge truly was at its peak when they released this movie 10 years ago. In fact, I remember rushing out to see it in the movie theater. Twice. This is a great movie when you just need to veg out, or if you feel stupid and worthless and are desperate to see someone more stupid and worthless than you feel. If you ever enjoyed watching Beavis & Butthead on MTV and you never saw this movie, then you must live in a cave. Beavis & Butthead wind up traveling all across America as they try to hunt down who stole their most prized possession...their TV. As they wander around town looking for a TV to watch, they happen upon a seedy motel where they meet Muddy, an alcoholic who just happens to be waiting for 2 guys to meet him about "doing" his wife. Muddy is too drunk to notice or care that Beavis & Butthead are a little young for the job, all the while they think "doing" Muddy's wife implies sex not murdering her. Muddy sends them to Vegas to off his wife, but when they get there, she finds out their plan and plays on their naiveity (or should I say stupidity) to get them to head across country on a bus to Washington, DC. But unknown to Beavis & Butthead, she has sewn a unit containing a dangerous virus inside it into Beavis' shorts, and now the whole country is on the lookout for the 2 "most dangerous" criminals in America. It's great fun from beginning to end and certainly something you'll enjoy over and over again, that is, if you were a fan in the first place. Enjoy!

5-0 out of 5 stars This is just great!
I already own this movie, its great! But now were getting commentary, and special features. I think this is gonna be a great part of the Beavis and Butt-Head collection! 4-0 out of 5 stars And now Church Chat with the Church Lady
I almost gave this one 3 stars instead of 4, but I love Church Chat too much to not give it 4. This tape doesn't really hold that many sketches on it. The sketches that are on here, though, are the first of there kind. Dana Carvey's Church Lady takes no prisoners. Kevin Nealon makes the people around him obey his every comand as Mr. Subliminle, and who could forget Phil Hartman's genius parody of Donahue. This one also has Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, and Martin Short all doing the monolouge together which is spectacular. The thing is though that neither Martin, Chase, or Short apear in any sketches. But you could find Steve Martin in Toonces the Driving Cat on the best of Mr.Bill & Toonces. I would definetly recomend this video but I would also recomend getting best of Mr. Bill & Toonces to acompany it.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not a true Best of Eddie Murphy video
The first thing one needs to know about this tape is that it is not a Best of Eddie Murphy collection by any means. This video contains the bulk of two SNL episodes hosted by Eddie Murphy: one when he, still a cast member, filled in for an ailing Nick Nolte, and one marking his return as host to the show he had recently left (oddly, they are shown in reverse chronological order).SNL just wasn't a very good show in those years; Eddie Murphy had basically been carrying the show on his own shoulders.Since all of the skits on this tape don't actually include Eddie Murphy, you get some pretty bad segments to go along with the good ones.Murphy even warned the audience in his first monologue that some things on the show would not be very funny, and he wasn't lying.5-0 out of 5 stars Best compilation of Eddie Murphy material
This video is probably the funniest compilation of SNL skits with Eddie Murphy.A college friend of mine had a copy and we spent many a night watching it over and over. Then we'd hit the bars and perform skits in ourdrunken stupor. I have been looking to purchase this video for the pastcouple of years, and would like to find it!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars This video is HILARIOUS

This movie has some very hilarious skits...GOULET! Of course not all the skits are funny, but for the most part, if you like Will Farrell, you'll get your $$$'s worth...GOULET!

1-0 out of 5 stars What a joke...
This may be the worst collection of Farrell clips they could've put together. I loved The best of Chris Farley, but this was a mess. The skits we're weak and nothing we haven't seen before in their many compilation shows.. How many times has he played Trebek? Do we really need to see the same one with Sean Connery, Burt Reynolds, and French Stewart again? And not even the whole skit on top of it all.. What a waste of money this was! What a shame......

2-0 out of 5 stars TOTALLY DISAPPOINTING
I'd prefer to have this tape custome, if possible. But since that's a pipe dream, you have to take what they dish out, and this DVD isn't something I'd want to buy if I had known it was so lame. I didn't appreciate or find amusing the Wayne and Garth commentary, and I can't believe they left out Richard Pryor's classic skit in which he spoofs The Exorcist, with Loraine Newman as the possessed girl. Classic SNL from its first seaon, and it was completely left out. Bogus, man!

5-0 out of 5 stars Murphy Leaves, Emergence of Joe Piscopo
Someone watching these yearly tapes in order might assume that this was just another great Eddie Murphy-era year in SNL history. In fact, it was the end of its era. By the end of the 83-84 season, Murphy, Joe Piscopo, and most of the rest of that cast had departed, making way for Billy Crystal and Martin Short. However, this tape is one of the most well-aged of the yearly tapes from the early 80's, since it mostly sticks to the show's original characters, with a few notable exceptions.
4-0 out of 5 stars Welcometo Mr.Robinson's neighborhood
The magic of Eddie Murphey's final season on SNL is captured on this best of 1983 tape... and when I say magic I mean Murphy truly went all out before departing from the show. You would have to see it to actually experience the magic that is Eddie Murphy on SNL. I don't want to give away any surprises, and believe me, if you've never seen it before then there are plenty of surprises. But obviously there's Mr. Robinson's neigborhood and Buckweet. No Gumbi on this one, but there is a really good sketch with James Belushi and Joe Piscapo. The star though is Murphy, doing an impersination of Michael Jackson that will have you laughing all night. The only reason I didn't give this one 5 stars is because they rolled the credits right in the middle of James Brown's Celebrity Hot Tub. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars "Definitive Collection" Is a MUCH Better Value
All the material on this disk plus more is contained in the three-disk Definitive Collection which is in print, available on Amazon, and very inexpensive (especially through 3rd-party sellers). What the D.C. lacks is any printed material that might be included with this Anchor Bay release.
4-0 out of 5 stars Put This on My Guilty Pleasure List
When they started out, the Mr. Bill shorts were a clever satire of bad childrens animation (that is, until they started taking themselves too seriously and became bad animation. See: "Mr. Bill Does Vegas.") More to the point, those two minute segments of poor, play-dough Mr. Bill getting slaughtered by Mr. Hands and Sluggo were pretty dang funny.5-0 out of 5 stars so what

3-0 out of 5 stars Needs Music Videos
I just got the 3 pack DVD's from TimeLife.com.I was disapointed not to see the music videos. The music videos are one of the best parts of the series.Their comments on the videos is like MST3K.I feel that I did not get a complete product.Just like everything on TV, it was not the way the creator intended it. Also, since MTV doesn't play music videos anymore, it is good to see some old vids.

5-0 out of 5 stars this is some funny stuff
