Faithful to the original!
Our 7th grade literature book has Kipling's original story "Rikki-tikki-tavi" in it. The students enjoy the story and I like showing the video after they have studied it. We discuss portrayal of Rikki (pics in the text don't show mongooses as quite so adorable as the animated Rikki), as well as of Nag and Nagaina. This video is so particularly useful because it is faithful to the original story, not changing endings or characters or events in any significant way. Well worth having!

A Great Teaching tool
This movie has everlasting usefulness as a teaching tool for kids AND adults. It should be put on DVD and marketed vigorously. It teaches values, work ethic, appreciation and much much more
We Love It
I've never read the book but we love the movie. I've always wanted to read the book but never found time, not much of a reader. I still intend to read it someday but until then this really is an enjoyable movie. I find unrealistic bloopers in movies about how people would really act in any give situation and I have always felt comfortable with the realisticness of this movie. Love it.

How Green Is Your Grinch?
I was quite disheartened when I purchased the previous DVD release of How the Grinch Stole Christmas to find a yellowish grinch in the video transfer. It is most certainly my intention to purchase the upcoming release in the hopes that this problem has been corrected but what exactly is the story on the contents of this release. Are we supposed to believe that this is a 26 minute running time release with no other contents on 2 DVDs? What exactly are we getting here and what is the growing problem among manufacturers who remain tight-lipped about product content prior to the release date?
THE Grinch movie you want to see
This is the original animated film. Awesome. Loved every minute of it as if I were 8 again.

NOT A CLASSIC BUT GOOD
Street salesman Daffy Duck inherits a million dollars from the estate of J.B. Cubish, then sets up a ghost-busting service with pals Bugs Bunny and Porky Pig for the purposes of destroying Cubish's ghost.This is basically some new animation which frames several other older Warner Brothers shorts:
Interesting Movie
In case anyone didnt know, this is an animated film made in the late 80s.Daffy Duck inherets money from his rich uncle and starts a ghost hunting company with Bugs and Porky.Although Daffy is the star, all the classic WB characters apear in this film.This is a pretty good movie, as it combines a bunch of classic Warner Bros cartoons together into one story with new animation.The new footage is nicely animated, although the difference between it and the old cartoons are quite noticable.However, the writers do a good job of making tons of old cartoons flow together as one story. This is not only the best Loony Toons film, but quite possibly the best animated film of all time!!! Witch Hazel is no match for Bugs Bunny!
"Bugs Bunny's Howl-Oween Special" is one hilarious cartoon telvision program. Great treat for young and old alike who love Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety, and that hair pin-losing witch Witch Hazel. I own it, and must have watched it over 40 times in the last 3 years. Hilarious when Witch Hazel turns into a vampire and Bugs says "Abra Cadabra" and the vampire becomes a bat, and Bugs doesn't realize it. Bugs is sitting up in bed, and sees the bat flying across close by. He says, "Golly! What big mosquitoes they have around here. Hold still, you little devil." He smashes it on the floor. The bat manages to get up and fly out of the window. Bugs, reading the book on magic words and phrases, says "Hocus Pocus". The bat transforms back into the vampire and falls into the water below. This is just a sample of the hilarity in this video. Sounds good? Why not? You'll be spooked up in far amounts...in hilarity, that is. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Who hacked up the cartoons??
I really want to know what happened to the ORIGINAL version I saw when I was child, on television???? This has SOME of the bits and pieces, but in my opinion, has been poorly 'sewn' together into a mockery of the first TV Special. Am I the only one who can tell where the cartoon has been pieced together due to poor colour matching and voices? Chariots of Fur in DVD, pleeeeease!!!
HeyMr. WARNER, what's about a 2-DVD-set with ALL the "Modern Looney Tunes Shorts" from 1987 to 2004???:
Good collection.
This is a great collection of Looney Tunes made by The Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote. It includes the brand new cartoon, CHARIOTS OF FUR (1994) which suprisingly turned out to be a great cartoon, unlike CARROTBLANCA. This collection also includes 5 more cartoons. This includes OPERATION RABBIT (1951), one of five cartoons made with Bugs Bunny and Wile E. Coyote. Interestingly, this was made before BEEP, BEEP (1952), the second Road Runner cartoon ever. It basically uses the Coyote from FAST AND FURRY-OUS (1949). READY, WOOLEN, AND ABLE (1960) is the best cartoon starring Ralph Wolf and Sam Sheep Dog. I guess this is on this tape because Ralph Wolf is a form of Wile E. BEEP BEEP & HOOK, LINE, AND STINKER (1958) are also great cartoons. ZIP 'N' SNORT (1961) is the second best Road Runner cartoon ever, next to TO BEEP OR NOT TO BEEP (1963) of course. The only complaint I have is that other than the brand new cartoon, the other five are on ROAD RUNNER VS. WILE E. COYOTE: THE CLASSIC CHASE. But if you want ... better quality, buy this!

Chuck Jones continues to entertain new audiences with the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote. Chariots of fur is an blend of his final cartoon with the duo. I found it to be very exciting. If you have Road Runner vs. Wile E. Coyote The Classic Chase from Warner Bros. Golden Jubiliee 24 Karat collection, this video might not be for you. The other five cartoons actually appear on that video; Zip N' Snort, Operation: Rabbit, Hook, Line and Stinker, Beep Beep, and Ready, Woolen and Able. Perhaps that is why WB never re-released it on DVD. As it is, it is a prized member of my VHS collection, but I'd really like a newer one.Read more

Good; notice caution
I ordered this to use with my 1st grade music class after we did a unit on "Carnival of the Animals".Even though much of the humor was over their heads, they really enjoyed Bugs and Daffy's shenanigans and recognized the individual pieces as they were played by the orchestra.My only note of caution is that because in today's language, some formerly innocuous words now have derogatory meanings, I deemed it necessary to skip over the introductory and closing remarks to "Wild Jackass".

Great For Grandchildren

Please release on DVD!
I used to love watching this as a child.Even though it's mostly made of repurposed looney tunes shorts that you can probably get elsewhere, the daffy-wants-gold-from-wishing-well plot is brilliant.I hope to see this out on DVD soon to share with my kids.

The Greatest Looney Tunes Movie In the Entire World!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Obviously, I still like Daffy Duck's Quackbusters better. But this one was the super-best. I'm telling you, if you don't get this movie you might as well hang a sign on you that says geek. Meanwhile, until you get the VHS or DVD, enjoy Quackbusters

It's a great movie with a great finale!
I used to rent this movie and used to pretend the fake wishing well at the water store was the well in this movie. So Adorable
I had completely forgotten that this movie existed!I loved it as a small child.My mother let me watch it over and over when I was little because it was so short.It's so precious, and looks so classic and old-fashioned on-screen.I must admit, though, that the animation definitely looks old and today's kids may want to watch Finding Nemo instead.

my dad read me the book from Rudyard Kippling "the white seal" almost every night till I was 13.It has always been a favorite story of mine.The movie stays true to the book, and actualy quotes it in the begining. My dad baught me the movie on VHS a long time ago, but it wore out after continuous viewing.It is a great movie, I would recomend it to anyone.

Gems in an adequate setting
This was a television special broadcast in 1991. It melds two of my all-time favorite cartoons, "The Rabbit of Seville" and "What's Opera, Doc?", along with "Baton Bunny" and some framing sequences including Granny, Sylvester, the three bears, and Yosemite Sam. There's also an original bit with Daffy, Porky, and the William Tell Overture.
The best of Bugs ever!
I bought this video (well, actually, I had to order it, it was so popular at the time!) in 1993 while working at a Warner Bros. store because I loved the cartoons (especially the Wagner-piece) and said I wanted it in case I ever had kids.Well, almost ten years later, my kids (now seven and five) LOVE this video!(So do I!)For any Bugs fan and/or classical music buff, this is a MUST!

"What's Opera, Doc?"
I think this video contains the classic "What's Opera, Doc?" Bugs dressed in the disguise of a young maiden and Elmer Fudd with his magic helmet on to help him "kill the rabbit," sing "Return My Love." Elmer falls for the maiden until she looses her golden locks. But it doesn't end there. It stays true to Opera and sort of has a tragic ending. Road Runner is a hero
Road runner is a hero of the great american highway because he does something that we all do, bot don't always get away with.. He speeds. He gets away from the symbolic highway patrol (Coyote) every time... In a sense, the Road Runner and the Coyote chase is played out every day on the American Road. It will be a sad day if the Coyote ever gets the ultimate victory over the Road Runner. The fun will be over for all of us who have enjoyed these great cartoons and driving the american road over the years.

This is a good cartoon collection for all ages. WHOA, BE GONE and GUIDED MUSCLE are both pretty good cartoons. RABBIT'S FEAT includes Wile E. Coyote with Bugs Bunny instead of the Road Runner. He has no better luck with the rabbit than the bird. STOP! LOOK! AND HASTEN! is the first great Road Runner cartoon. HOPALONG CASUALTY is very good. It includes the classic earthquake pills gag. LOL funny
This collection of Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote is a classic collection of what everyone remembers from his/her childhood, except that I didn't remember these cartoons as been quite as funny as they actually are. From a grown up perspective, these cartoon are hysterical, and I found myself laughing during the whole video (which was unfortunately too short). My only complaint? - that the video was a bit too short at 37 minutes. I wish that there were more videos of this duo (WB - hint, hint). This video is just plain fun, especially after a hard day. Oh yeah, good for kids, too! :)

Taste For The Desert
Chuck Jones creations, Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote, still is one of the longest running pair of cartoon chasers in animation history. The Stars From Space Jam collection, still shows that without any acceptions. The tape I've been looking for!
