Worst Theme Song Ever!
This movie had a lot of potential. It could have been a fun adventure, but someone really blew it! The most obvious and glaring problem with this movie is the ridiculously poor theme song. I've heard a lot of annoying theme songs, but this one is so bad that I just can't fathom how anyone could have allowed it in the movie. The other main flaw has to do with casting. The actors playing the kids do a good job and the actors playing the Japanese soldiers do a good job, but the two leads just don't cut it. It may be poor acting, bad script writing, or bad directing, but something just doesn't click when the two lead actors engage in any kind of dialogue. Every word they say comes across as awkward and unnatural. All that being said, the kids and the actors playing the Japanese soldiers do come through with strong performances, it's just too bad that the two leads couldn't support their efforts a little more. Actually, the director should have just focused more on the kids and left the adults in the background. This movie really deserves to be remade (or if there is enough extra footage, re-edited!). It was a great idea that just wasn't executed to its full potential!

Great Family Movie
There are a number of new movies that are great for a family - but this is an old and timeless classic! Great movie!

Good, but not great
The Last Flight of Noah's Ark is about two strangers, two young children,and animals on a plane that crashes. They all end up on a remote island. The movie is good for family fun, but is a little unrealistic and is very predictable. It is unrealistic in the shark scene because the shark was moving too slowly and the water was too shallow. Also, the storm scene did not show the damage that it should have shown. Noah's Ark was predictable by the "boy - meets - girl - falls - in - love - and - marries" scene. Excellent British murder mystery
I first saw this program about 15 years ago, have seen it several times since, and still regard it as one of my favorite mysteries.I believe this movie was made for British TV and it has the flavor of the PBS "Mystery" series offerings.It features a young Anthony Hopkins playing a upper middle class London barrister who is just approaching middle age, beginning to tire of his career -- and his wife.The wife is equally dissatisfied with her own life.The mystery proceeds from there.Very highly recommended for fans of British mysteries and detective programs (Prime Suspect, Touching Evil, Second Sight, Forgotten, etc.) ... Considering Andrea is Lou's daughter she is giving a biased opinion. Considering who appeared in the movie, it was still lousy.

Not just another gangland film
This is not just another gangland film.Writer Lou Eppolito's experience with both law enforcement and the mafia provides this film with realistic, true to life dialogue often missed by others of the same genre.The acting and editing, while tense at time, still allow for surprises and climactic build up as the reality of the players comes to conclusion....
BOOM BOOM
Former boxer Ray Mancini not only stars in this "Sopranos" like drama, but he also produced it, making sure I guess he got the starring role.At any rate, TURN OF FAITH solidifies the sad state our society has evolved to, in that we want to glamorizeand sanitize gangsters.Read more

Pretty cute!
Now I've watched four Harlequins Romance (Broken Lullaby, Diamond Girl, Hard to Forget) I thought At the Midnight Hour had a very cute story and solid acting from everyone. Richard sorta wasn't my type (he looked like a mix of Jeff Bridges, Kurt Russell and Nick Nolte) I guess Ilike dark haired guys, but we was still good. Liz was definitely good looking. I believed the chemistry between them. The story was pretty cute, and that whole mystery. All in all very enjoyable and cute!

My Favorite Of The Harlequin Movies!
At the Midnight Hour is a wonderful made for television movie that is based on a Harlequin romance novel and personally this is my favorite of the Harlequin movie adaptations. The movie stars Patsy Kensit as a young woman who takes a job as a nanny to take care of a wealthy older man's young son and so has to move into their spooky old castle like mansion and she finds herself falling for her boss who is played by Simon McCorkindale and the character he plays is a man who has alot of painful secrets from his past but she also finds herself catching the attention of his con artist brother and there is also the snobby creepy and bitchy female family friend who is jealous of the growing attraction of Simon McCorkindale and Patsy Kensit's characters. The acting by both Simon and Patsy is good and there is a lot of chemistry between the too that makes the romance believable and Simon McCorkindale is handsome and I could definitely see him as the romantic hero!

Mary Poppins With Sex
Charles Jarrott, who helmed the nearly forgotten studio fiasco THE OTHER SIDE OF MIDNIGHT, followed up years later with another "Midnight Movie," AT THE MIDNIGHT HOUR, this one a different kettle of fish entirely but one marked with the good taste and understatement that have long been a hallmark of Jarrott's films but which deserted him on THE OTHER SIDE OF MIDNIGHT.This movie was produced by Harlequin-the romance company, trying to break into the profitable Lifetime For Women oligarchy with some productions of their own.It's a shame the Harlequin movie studio didn't last longer than a year or two, but during that time they made some interesting productions, including the unforgettable CHANGE OF PLANS in which twin sisters tried to bamboozle the eternally sexy Rick Springfield of "Jessie's Girl" fame.
