4-0 out of 5 stars Peter Lorre is indeed one of a kind!!
A superb and atmospheric early horror film with fine acting, super effects, tight script and haunting soundtrack. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the fantastic horror score by the great Max Steiner.Lorre is in top form and the severed hand effects(in most cases)easily stand up against 1991's Addams Family 'Thing' effects.
3-0 out of 5 stars Kind of silly, but entertaining
If not for Peter Lorre, this movie might be too silly to sit through. But Lorre turns in a grand performance, along with G. Carroll Nash as the detective.3-0 out of 5 stars Give Peter Lorre A Hand!!
This is a well-titled, but bizarre horror film from Warner Bros, a studio not known for producing horror films.Victor Francen stars as a renowned pianist living in one of those dark creepy movie mansions/castles.One hand is useless, so he uses his other hand to play.He relies heavily on his nurse, Andrea King, shuns his secretary, Peter Lorre, and sometimes seeks the company of Robert Alda who helped adapt the music for one-handed playing. When Francen dies (violently) and leaves his estate to his nurse, this sets off a series of strange events as everyone is terrorized by his disembodied hand!!Read more

Editorial Review

MacLachlan, author of Unclaimed Treasures, has written an affecting tale for children. In the late 19th century a widowed midwestern farmer with two children--Anna and Caleb--advertises for a wife. When Sarah arrives she is homesick for Maine, especially for the ocean which she misses greatly. The children fear that she will not stay, and when she goes off to town alone, young Caleb--whose mother died during childbirth--is stricken with the fear that she has gone for good. But she returns with colored pencils to illustrate for them the beauty of Maine, and to explain that, though she misses her home, "the truth of it is I would miss you more." The tale gently explores themes of abandonment, loss and love. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Sarah, Plain and Tall
Sarah, Plain and Tall is a heartfelt story about a family who lost a mother and wife. Jacob, Caleb and Anna's father, must make the decision to place an ad for a wife and mother for the best for all of them.Sarah, a young lady from Maine, returns letters back and forth to the whole family getting to know them better. She decides to come down to the prairies of Kansas from the sea for a month to see if this is a life she could become accustomed to.When the children see the yellow bonnet coming down the road, excitement was in the air along with anticipation.Would she decide to stay and marry Jacob, or would this place be too small and too far away from the sea for Sarah.
5-0 out of 5 stars great great GREAT!
The book is about the Ann and Caleb's mom dies in her sleep after having Caleb. After a few years Jacob (the dad) writes an ad asking for a new wife. And Sarah answered back, and she answered all the questions.

Kermit the Frog as Santa Claus narrates this delightful holiday tale.Rugbythe Tiger is Jaime's favorite Christmas toy from last year.Rugby is convincedthat he will be wrapped up and placed under the tree again this year. When it's Christmas Eve and all the other toys try to explain to him that that is not going to happen, Rugby decides to take matters into his own paws and placehimself under the tree.He makes the dangerous trip from the playroom to theliving room trying not to be seen, for if a toy's secret of being ableto move when humans aren't around is discovered, it becomes frozen forever. Now all his friends from the toy room must get him back before it's too late. 4-0 out of 5 stars Great movie wheres the DVD?
Love the movie But where is the DVD?It is a very very good classic move that I really enjoyed alot.

4-0 out of 5 stars It Has Re-do All Over It.
This mid-50's melodrama probably inspired a lot of arbitrage specialists out there, if not, Hugh Hefners. If you liked the "Hotel" series by Arthur Hailey, read the book before enjoying Hollywood's botching of a fine story.(heard Travolta was interested in the project)The business intrigue was stripped lean to accomodate an all=star cast. Natalie Wood, at her lovely, though wooden best dwarfed by James Garner.Add Nina Foch, Ed Platt,Dean Jagger and E.G. Marshall and things stir up a bit. Garner and Wood do create sparks after much nonsense. We all forgive them, if we can just see a rags-to-riches story with its Shang-Ri-La settings and a converted B-26 with built-in bar. Pretty Rich Man meets Pretty Woman. Fascinates even today.

5-0 out of 5 stars This classic should be reissued in DVD!
This film, currently only available in VHS, has become a classic on which other classics are based! As has been pointed out by others, the plot of "Pretty Woman" (ASIN 6305696071) borrows heavily from this earlier film.Natalie Wood shines as much in her role in this film as the poor little rich girl as Julia Roberts does in hers in the other as the lady of the evening with the heart of gold. Both convince the heroes (played respectively by James Garner and Richard Gere) that its better to build up the companies they buy than to tare them apart. Thus both are an affirmation of what can be best about capitalism. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great for Teachers and other educators
Okay yes they do talk fast, but this particular video has a great learning addition: both Wakko's America and Yakko's world is on this tape. Even if they kids don't get all of it, they'll pick up on some of it, and before you know it, maybe they'll recite the state capitals without much trouble.5-0 out of 5 stars Animaniacs Rocks!
Animaniacs is the best show with the best music! This is my review of every song: "I'm Cute" is a very cute and funny song thanks to Yakko and Wakko getting bored. "Snitchelbank" is very funny when you are seeing the cartoon, the same thing with "Make a Gookie", a parody of "Fealing Grovy". I like how they combinded 2 cartoons to do "Our first day of School" and "Wakko's America". H.M.S. Yakko has a funny story and the songs get better and better near the end. Can you sing "Yakko's World" without the words? I can! "I'm Mad" is a great song to sing along with my sister Nina. The theame song is great and very energetic. All in all, this is great!

5-0 out of 5 stars Why not release this in DVD???
I have seen the DVD release for region 4 dvd players... why in the world didnt they release it for all regions? That was very stupid marketing.Fortunately I got very lucky and bought a VHS original that I found in the sale bin from a Rental video store as a prev rental. This movie is powerful and everytime I watch it gets an emotional response from me.The cast is wonderful and the horse... very well trained and just a magnificent animal! If you have an opportunity to see this I highly recommend it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Phar Lap ~ An Olympian Tragedy
Throw together the modern real life drama's of Smarty Jones and Barbaro, then add Seabiscuit to the mix along with a measure of life-threatening intrigue, and you have something close to the tale of the magnificent Phar Lap, a real-life equine Olympian.
4-0 out of 5 stars Another Amazing Racehorse - Is DVD Coming Soon?
A good horse racing story - especially if it's based on real life - usually gets my attention and this is no exception. Phar Lap was a famous Australian race horse. This was another Seabiscuit-type horse who overcame big odds to achieve greatness. He just never got much press outside of Australia, I guess.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Real Fan
I don't know how many times I have watched my video of this film, but I enjoy watching every time!!!It is the one video I Treasure.I love all the songs. When will it be put on DVD????

5-0 out of 5 stars Like a fairytale
I'd had this video for years and can't tell you how many times I watched. It's like watching a beautiful fairytale. The setting, the costumes, the music are all beautiful. The entire cast superb. The only disappointing thing about this movie is that Mario Lanza did not get to perform the part of the prince even though he had recorded all the songs for the movie--it's his voice you hear--and the screenplay was written especially for him.But because he had a problem controlling his weight, the studio replaced him with Edmund Purdom, whom I think did a superb job overall--you can not tell he's not the one really singing.I love Ann Blyth as the leading lady--so lovely and so is her voice. All the songs are beautiful, and Mario's voice is out of this world.I gave my video to Anthony Kearns(one of the Irish Tenors) at one of his concerts and told him they should do a remake of this movie using him as the prince (of course they would have to deal with the Irish accent). As it turns out, Anthony now sings two of the songs from this movie.I recently got another video of this movie from Amazon.com and can once again watch it over and over.
5-0 out of 5 stars ABeautiful Musical but Sad Love Story !!
I finally got the opportunity to purchase this movie, and it is the singing of Mario Lanza that blows me away . My favorites are "Beloved" , "Serenade" and "Summertime in Heidelberg", and "Deep in My Hear, Dear" , everytime I hear Mario sang those songs to Kathie , my heart just melts.Edmund Purdom does make a very handsome prince and very good lip synching too. Must of been a very tough job for him.Ann Blyth was perfect in her role as the barmaid, and what a lovely soprano voice she has!! Edmund and Ann make a great couple and they had very good chemistry working together, no wonder they did a movie together again the following year "The King's Thief" .A must watch for musical lover's fan.5 stars for singing and acting !!!! ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Save your Money!!!
If you're one of those who likes to see 'artsy' films for the sake of conversation, by all means check this oddball out.If, however, you want to watch a movie to be entertained or to appreciate Tango, be advised: This movie absolutely sucked.Potter was uninspiring and passionless, her love interest was self-centered and whiny, and what was up with the legless midget shooting horrific looking models in the color shots???In a word, the whole thing was terrible.Even the Tango wasn't very good in this one (primarily as it was usually Potter dancing, and she obviously needs some more practice!)...the one redeeming factor was the music, which was outstanding.Particularly moving was Yo-Yo Ma's Libertango.Do yourself a favor...buy the CD, skip the movie.

4-0 out of 5 stars Want to learn Argntinian Tango? Watch this over & over.
Plot weak. No Matter. WATCH THE DANCERS!!!!over and over. Here you wont see snaps of the head from R-----L & back like in the dance competitions on PBS. Watch older people do it. My dancing has become more fluid (IM75 ) Thisis ARGENTINIAN TANGODANCED FOR FUN not for an award!

1-0 out of 5 stars Nice tango...bad story
This film was so disappointing. I love tango. And Buenos Aires. If it wasn't for both of these elements in the film...it would get no stars. Sally Potter is so self indulgent. The story is so discredible....that we are supposed to believe this young guy has a romantic attachment to her?! Perhaps if she had cast a younger female for the lead role this may have been more believeable. The actual 'plot' was so weak...nothing happens in the whole film except she learns tango and wrecks my head. ... Read more

Editorial Review

No film better utilizes Audrey Hepburn's flighty charm and svelte beauty than this romantic adaptation of Truman Capote's novella. Hepburn's urban sophisticate Holly Golightly, an enchanting neurotic living off the gifts of gentlemen, is a bewitching figure in designer dresses and costume jewelry. George Peppard is her upstairs neighbor, a struggling writer and "kept" man financed by a steely older woman (Patricia Neal). His growing friendship with the lonely Holly soon turns to love and threatens the delicate balance of both of their compromised lives. Taking liberties with Capote's bittersweet story, director Blake Edwards and screenwriter George Axelrod turn New York into a city of lovers and create a poignant portrait of Holly, a frustrated romantic with a secret past and a hidden vulnerability. Composer Henry Mancini earned Oscars for the hit song "Moon River" and his tastefully romantic score. The only sour note in the whole film is Mickey Rooney's demeaning performance as the apartment's Japanese manager, an offensively overdone stereotype even in 1961. The rest of the film has weathered the decades well. Edwards's elegant yet light touch, Axelrod's generous screenplay, and Hepburn's mix of knowing experience and naiveté combine to create one of the great screen romances and a refined slice of high society bohemian chic. 5-0 out of 5 stars As Charming as A Classic Can get!
Breakfast at Tiffany's... If you haven't seen it, then you must have heard of it in some way. You have heard the title somewhere, you read about it at someplace or maybe you have heard the famous musical theme by Henry Mancini? Yes, it's hard not to have heard of this classic masterpiece in some sort of way.
5-0 out of 5 stars delicious
Blake Edward's masterpiece isbright, funny, intelligent, and thoroughly winning, thanks to his deft direction and the singular presence of its stars.Stunningly gowned by Givenchy, Audrey Hepburn makes the part of Holly Golightly completely her own, and is so captivating, one couldn't care less how greatly the film differs from Truman Capote's much darker novella.George Peppard is her praiseworthy partner in his most memorable role.To better complement his spirited co-star, he plays Paul Varjak quietly, radiating a natural humor, pride, warmth, and grace. With astonishing blue eyes, perfect hair, cardigans, tweed jackets, and penny loafers, Paul is achingly handsome and infinitely desirable.
5-0 out of 5 stars An amazingly beautiful, sad film
The sight of Audrey Hepburn, dressed immaculately in a black dress, wearing large black goggles, holding a danish pastry in one of her hands and a coffee in the other, looking wishfully, enchantedly into the window of Tiffany, joins forces with the extremely beautiful yet melancholy background score by Henri Mancini to set the tone of the movie. Quirky, witty, modern, fashionable, yet flowing over an undercurrent of unexplainable sadness.

4-0 out of 5 stars The Good Account
The film is adaptation of the C.S. Foresters first novel in the Hornblower series "The Happy Return", in the USA this was titled "Beat To Quarters" with a little added plot from a "Ship of The Line" (not three novels as other reviewers have stated). The Happy Return was originally written as a stand alone book and C.S. forester conceived the idea whilst on a voyage home after a stint writing a film scripts in Hollywood. Although a very British subject Gregory Peck portrays the part of the stiff Hornblower very well. Forester himself wrote he was very happy with the results and in many ways this version is closer to the original idea than the later TV versions. Gregory Peck plays the man alone in charge of vessels a long way from home. Forester conceived the story not so much a story of ships, heroes and battles but of class barriers and the loneliness of command. The story is about throwing together of Hornblower a Captain of middle class background and Lady Barbara, sister of Duke of Wellington, well played by Virginia Mayo, I regret however that her accent does not bear up to scrutiny very well.He is already married so is not free and in any event he is too low a social class to jump the great social divide. In he close fines of a small vessel a long way form home passions and temptations are strong. The story does depart from the original novel in one important aspect by making Lady Barbara ill on the voyage home so Captain Hornblower can care for sick lady in the already confined circumstance. Apart from that I have very little to argue with. Forester went on to write ten Hornblower novels with this film sitting in the middle of the completed sequence. If you fond of the character then this is very good starting point and to my mind gets to the heart of what the writer originally conceived. I only hope that a good DVD version is put out soon.
5-0 out of 5 stars Peck is Perfect...
Peck is the perfect Hornblower, when you read the books this is who you will see after watching this wonderful film,(I have seen it on TCM).C.S. Forester, the author of the books wrote the screenplay and it shows, very true to the character and he did a wonderful job in working in the best from the first three books, which I feel are the best ones he wrote.(If you have a teenage son, do him a favor and buy him the complete set, they are much better than anything on TV and are great reads for adults also.)The current TV movies on HH should do the same and put some teeth into the writing and stick closer to the books. This film should really be put on dvd and they should add a lot of extras concerning the author, how popular the books were around the world and also include a doc. about the time period of "iron men and wooden ships"...

A scout in the old Southwest (Gregory Peck) undertakes to protect a white woman (Eva Marie Saint) and her half-breed son from the Apache warrior--the woman's captor-husband of 10 years--who wants them back. The scout is a man of estimable courage and resources (again, Gregory Peck), but the mostly unseen Apache is a veritable monster of determination, cunning, and bloodthirstiness: Peck and his two charges doom entire communities to extermination just by passing through the neighborhood. This fierce amalgam of Western and horror movie was the last of seven collaborations between director Robert Mulligan and producer Alan J. Pakula, of which Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Real Apache With Feedback
I was born and raised on the Apache Reservation. The child in the movie was from Whiteriver, AZ, my grandfather's hometown.I have seen the movie. It does have some historical accuracy in the sense that the real Apache language was used and that "mixed-blood" families are very common among Native Americans. As a matter of fact, "mixed-blood" Indians outnumber "full-blooded" Indians by far.The Cherokees are a perfect example (who include Burt Reynolds as a member) along with the Lumbees (who include Heather Locklear).
5-0 out of 5 stars Even fools found it entertaining
All the comments on here by people concerning how "you don't see the Indian until the end" are indicative of the ignorance of most Americans when it comes to the early frontier history of their own country.

5-0 out of 5 stars This Movie Is So Wonderful.
This Movie Is So Wonderful. I Used To Watch It. And It Was So Cool. The Movie Starts Off As Fozzie Bear And The Gang Are In The Truck. They Were Going To Fozzie Bear's Mother's House that's on a Farm. Kermit, His (kermit) Nephew Robin, And Fozzie Are Inside The Truck. And Fozzie Is Driving The Truck. While The Others Are In The Back Of The Truck. Next We See Fozzie Bear's Mother Getting Ready To Go On A Vaction When An Old Man And His Dog Came to the house. The Old Man And His Dog Were Going To Spen Christmas At The House While Fozzie Bear's Mother Goes On Her Vaction. Until Fozzie Bear And The Gang Arrive At The House Before They Came Into The House They Slipped On A Frozen Ice Patch. Once They Were All Inside The Old Man Didn't Like To Have Anyone Else Spending Christmas With Him And His Dog. Next We See Gonzo And Kermit In The Kitchen Talking To Eachother When Robin Came Into The Kitchen. Gonzo Left While Robin And Kermit Were Talking To Eachother. Until The Muppet Band Called The Electric Mayhem Were Performing In The House. After They Were Dune. The Whole Muppet Gang Heard Some Carolers. And They Were Suprised To See The Sesame Street Gang Outside. They Let Them Into The House. And Kermit Was Waiting For Miss Piggy (who i think is the diva of all divas even through she's a pig) to come home for christmas. So If You Want To Know What Happens Next. You Should Buy This Movie. It's A Wonderful Christmas Present For Your Little Boy Or Girl Who Likes The Muppets.

2-0 out of 5 stars The edited version - explained
Like many of the other reviews, this version is extremely frustrating. Some of the best scenes and songs are edited out.For those who have seen the unedited version as it was broadcast on television, you probably won't like this.If you haven't seen the edited version, you may like this. However, there are scenes that may have you thinking - "What happened?" "That was short.""Did they cut something out?"
3-0 out of 5 stars I would like a copy as well
Anybody that has a copy that can be burned on DVD I would be interested in buying as well..the full version of course...let me know ...email me at dudaluvs@hotmail.com ... Read more

Editorial Review

This classic 1964 television special featuring Rudolph and his misfit buddies set the standard for stop-motion animation for an entire generation before Tim Burton darkly reinvented it in the early 1990s. Burl Ives narrates as Sam the Snowman, telling and singing the story of a rejected reindeer who overcomes prejudice and saves Christmas one particularly blustery year. Along the way, he meets an abundance of unforgettable characters: his dentallyobsessed elf pal Hermey; the affable miner Yukon Cornelius and his motley crew of puppies; the scary/adorable Abominable Snow Monster; a legion of abandoned, but still chatty, toys; and a rather grouchy Santa. In addition to the title song that inspired it, this 53-minute tape is crammed with catchy tunes such as"Silver and Gold" and "Holly Jolly Christmas." 5-0 out of 5 stars Glorious, Wondrous, theGreatest Rudolph of Them All!
Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer is indeed the most marvelous Christmas film ever! It is one of many superb animated films written by a great man named Romeo Muller. Rudolph is doubtless his best-loved work. I remember watching the film as a child, delighted and enraptured by the story that it told. Do you remember? Sam the Snowman as narrator (voiced and sung in the performance of a lifetime by Burl Ives); Rudolph the misfit and rejected reindeer; Rudolph's friend, Hermy the Elf, also a misfit because he doesn't like to make toys but wants to be a dentist; Yukon Cornelius, the prospector who befriends them both; the Abominable Snowmonster of the North (whom Yukon, in prospector slang, invariably calls a "bumble"); the Island of Misfit Toys, and its winged lion ruler, King Moonracer; and many other characters and story threads. The presentation, interweaving, and resolution of all of these elements is positively Shakespearean in deftness, wit, poetic beauty and brevity of expression, depth, pathos, joy, moral instruction, and the sense that all ends as indeed it should. Grounded in a deep and sparkling love of all creation, these qualities characterize all of Romeo Muller's films. If you will see it devotedly--indeed, if you will see any and all of Romeo's films--you will become a finer, more compassionate, and a more truly loving human being.

5-0 out of 5 stars Immortal Christmas Classic FeaturingThe Most Famous Reindeer Of All
A "true treasure", is really the only way to describe this legendary Christmas television special that originally premiered in 1964. Arthur Rankin's totally captivating stop motion animation was a bench mark for everything that has come since and even with all of our modern computer technology nothing could come close to the beauty of the creations here. The story of that most famous of reindeers, the one and only Rudolph who's initial drawback of having a shiny nose eventually becomes his chief asset, is beautifully told in a music filled special narrated by Burl Ives in a perfect piece of casting as Sam the snowman. This special has quite rightly become a Christmas instituation every year since its initial release and appeals equally to both children and adults with its timeless message of tolerance and acceptance of all who are different. It has happily now been given a deserving release onto DVD back in its original form complete with deleted songs and a superb restoration.
5-0 out of 5 stars Love this movie
This has been a must-see every christmas in my family. I love the plot of this movie (much more than just a stupid song), and the coolio animation that they used to make it. Definitely a good christmas movie. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars An Exceptional Film Adaptation of the Classic Novel
This 1945 film adaptation of Oscar Wilde's classic novella is more that likely the best adaptation one will ever see. This may seem to be a big statement, but Albert Lewin's direction along with Harry Stradling Sr.'s Oscar winning Cinematography for 1946, appears almost flawless when comparing the classic novel with the film.
5-0 out of 5 stars "5" for the movie, "1" for no DVD
This is one the best films of all time.
5-0 out of 5 stars The Lost Meaning of Evil and Terror.
With the exception of the fact that Sybil Vane is reduced from a stage actress to a club singer, this movie actually holds to the book quite well. In an age where horror movies revolve around the absurd overuse of blood and effects, and evil is portrayed as someone who just carries the label and dresses in black, this movie carries the true meaning of evil and terror. (Notably lost in modern times!) As in the book, we meet Lord Henry (played most convincingly by George Sanders). While he does have some redeeming points, he basically represents the devil. He is more of an observer, and he considers the common behavior of people beneath him. And as comically vicious as he gets, like the devil he never really tells outright falsehoods. One perfect example is when he expresses that women represent morality over mind and men represent mind over morals. Well, we then meet the young Dorian who is having his portrait painted. Lord Henry plays the devil and tells Dorian youth is only temporary and even if unintentionally tempts and leads Dorian into making a pact with evil. (He'll remain young while the picture ages.) Dorian then falls in love with Sybil Vane. And they plan to marry. But Lord Henry again plays the devil and gives Dorian advice that SOUNDS good, but will lead to Sybil's death when carried through. (Like the devil, Lord Henry can tempt, but NOT FORCE Dorian to do anything!) After Sybil's death, Lord Henry shows a redeeming moment when he is concerned over Dorian. But the harm is done. Dorian is now on his way to degeneration. It is not the pact itself that leads to Dorian's degeneration, but his vanity that leads him to a cold indifference to the needs of others. (While this behavior was comical in Lord Henry, it appears quite disturbing in Dorian.) Without blood or effects, this movie is really scarey as we gradually see Dorian degenerate into evil. Despite what action movies tell us, the true meaning of evil is when we become a prisoner of our own vanity and we desire to satisfy ourselves no matter what the cost to others. Dorian makes this clear when he says: "I enjoy scandals about others, but scandals about me do not interest me. I find them boring." In a moment of disturbing terror, Dorian murders the uncle of the Gladys (whom he now loves). And in his arguably most evil moment, he becomes the tempter. While he asks for Alan Campbell's help in disposing of the body, he tempts but again doesn't force. (And this will lead to Campbell's suicide. The tempted has become the tempter!) But Sybil's brother is still out there and he wants revenge for the death of his sister. We heard of Adrian Singleton earlier when Basil expressed his fear over the degeneration of Dorian's friends, and we see him as a disturbing eccentric who interestingly carries reason. Jim's death is creepily ambiguous. Did Dorian set up the hunting party in hopes that Jim would walk into a bullet, or did Jim's desire for revenge lead to his downfall? We don't know, but we DO know that for this evil to have fallen on Jim, Jim had to consent at least in part to it when he persued the evils of revenge. (Something the utterly stupid 'Time to Kill' couldn't figure out.) Moving on, Dorian has defeated all his enemies, but he just can't live with himself anymore. (An ending above and beyond action movies that have a hero kill his enemies, fall in love, and live happily ever after!) Well, Dorian breaks his pact with evil and pays a HIGH price. Not only is this movie a phenomenal remake of the book itself, but it also reminds us of the REAL meaning of evil and terror. And as a bonus, it shows the shortcomings of modern movies that just don't get it. If you liked the book, you'll love the movie! ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars ummmm
I only saw like two shows, but theese are nothing compared to the awsome books! I wish they copied the books axactly and got better acters, then i'd be worth it!

2-0 out of 5 stars Animorphs The Invasion Series pt. 1, The Incasion Begins!
I am a really big Animorphs fan, and to tell you the truth, this show sucked compared to the book series.A lot of the books' story's were meshed into one, making an akward episode. Also they left us at a cliffhanger point!
4-0 out of 5 stars Not as good as the books, but it's still good.
This three episode vhs contains some of the best episodes of the t.v show. "The first three." The show is no where near as good as the books. I only wished that they had made a CGI animorphs show or something. The lack of fighting is the only thing lacking in this. Other than that the caracters are portrayed farly well and the differences from the book are tollerated. I own every one of the books and have read them all. I've seen all of the episodes in the series as well. And I own all four of the VHS tapes. I've also taped nearly every episode in ther series, but I am missing 3. I wish they would realese the full season one and season two onto DVD. I would buy it the day it came out. With all of the other DVD sets coming out I'm hoping that this one will be released soon.
