Editorial Review

The Academy Award winner for Best Picture, Best Director Robert Zemeckis, and Best Actor Tom Hanks, this unlikely story of a slow-witted but good-hearted man somehow at the center of the pivotal events of the 20th century is a funny and heartwarming epic. Hanks plays the title character, a shy Southern boy in love with his childhood best friend (Robin Wright) who finds that his ability to run fast takes him places. As an All-Star football player he meets John F. Kennedy; as a soldier in Vietnam he's a war hero; and as a world champion Ping-Pong player he's hailed by Richard Nixon. Becoming a successful shrimp-boat captain, he still yearns for the love of his life, who takes a quite different and much sadder path in life. The visual effects incorporating Hanks into existing newsreel footage is both funny and impressive, but the heart of the film lies in its sweet love story and in the triumphant performance of Hanks as an unassuming soul who savors the most from his life and times. 2-0 out of 5 stars Sorry Tom......
I'm giving this movie two stars because of the supporting actors, and, the book from which the movie is taken.I believe those are what the rest of the reviews are truely applauding without realizing it.
1-0 out of 5 stars Deja Vu All Over Again
The fuss over Forrest Gump still amazes me. This movie basically rips off better movies in almost every scene. Still somehow it managed to win Best Picture over Pulp Fiction And The Shawshank Redemption in 1994. Out of all of the movies that were released 1n 94 this one wouldnt even make my top 20. Nobodys Fool, Quiz Show, The Lion King, and the list goes on. The only reason that I would give it props is for(at the time) was the special effects, which now are dated. After Gump Zemekis directed a episode of Tales From The Crypt where he used the same Technology and was easiest the worst episode of that year. I used to be a HUGE Zemekis fan. Used Cars, Romancing the Stone, Back to the Furture movies and Death Becomes Her were I thought were strong movies. But arounf Back to the Future 2I thought Zemekis started to rely to much on special effects and it shows on this film. To the objective viewer re-watch this film and think about every scene and try to remember where you have seen that scene before. I guarantee you after you do that you will see this movie in a totally different light.

5-0 out of 5 stars The "It's A Wonderful Life" of the 60's generation
Forrest Gump is an absolutely brilliant film that captures the 60's and the early 70's in the same way that Frank Capra's wonderful film did for the WWII generation.

5-0 out of 5 stars My first and favorite Otello
First things first, I love Katia Ricciarelli and Placido Domingo. They are my two favorite opera singers ever. That being said, I can't say anything bad about them!!
2-0 out of 5 stars A good film totally ruined by the Director.
This film is not for Opera funs especially for connoisseurs of Verdi's Otello. Franco Zeffirelli simply presents his own version of the Opera and NOT VERDI'S. The film starts brilliantly with Otello's ship in the high seas in a most spectacular storm. Problems begin as soon as Otello lands in Cyprus. (Cyprus by the way and not Venice! as mentioned at the back of the DVD by some inexcusably ignorant person). Music from a ballet score that Verdi had written for Paris emerges instead of the expected chorus. The rest of the act is fine except for the fact that Otello points to the stars (the Pleiades) at Desdemona inside his bedroom (where she can see no stars) and two minutes later he takes Desdemona on the harbour for a walk (where she could see the stars) but it is later on the score, so the point is missed. The problems really start from act 2. After Iago's credo, which by the way is very well done, Zeffirelli cuts the famous duet between Otello and Iago (I like that not!) and then alters the sequence of the music in a most indescribable way. From there on we are watching a version of the Opera by Zeffirelli and not Verdi. I bought the Opera for Verdi, thank you very much. No wonder that the great conductor Carlos Kleiber who led the same principals at La Scala, Covent Garden and the Metropolitan Opera, refused to be associated with this film.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Period....And It's A Movie After All.......
Here's the bottom line: Zefferelli made the lengthy Verdi opera into a 2 hour mainstream movie. It will always be more a movie than a traditional opera. A stage version can run up to 3 hours and in the case of Wagner's Gotterdammerung 6 hrs. A movie is limited in time. Zefferelli' intentions are noble. He wishes to get audiences turned on to opera, through the seductive medium of visual cinematography and powerful Oscar-worthy drama. The omissions in this film do not minimize the plot and the spirit of the work is never sacrificed. Even Shakespeare himself would be proud of this version. Think of it as a highlights of Verdi's opera, too. Do we really need Desdemona's pretty little "Willow Song" ? Its omission does not take away from the power of the drama. And so what if there is new additional dance music. It's appropriate for the feast scenes. And the Overture during the closing credits is nothing to fear. From the opening scene of the sea storm, to the doubts of seeds planted by interludes between Cassio and Desdemona, to the lower levels of the castle where Iago plots and rages against God, to the sumptuous feasts, to the grim finale, this is the best Otello ever made.

3-0 out of 5 stars Jaded
Endless Love was an everyday love story about teenage love. Yet it was here that both lead actors got their big break. Well, we all know what happened to Brooke Shields. She now stars in her own sitcom, Suddenly Susan. As for David, who went on to pursue smaller roles, such as portraying a reverend-turned-werewolf in Steven King's Silver Bullet, you could say that things did not turn out to be quite as well for him. Overall, although both actors intended to shoot for the stars, their performance can best be described as, well,...jaded. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Billy Blanks is very physical - don't like his haircuts
Back in Action is a lot of physical action - which is great if you are looking for that kind of film. Billy and Roddy look good beating people up - and they make a good duo.Always hoping for something more emotional -like - Billy risks life to fight international martial arts expert to savemom from cancer...Billy is very talented in a pow - martial arts way - Ijust can't get into his haircuts - but having said that - the guy can jumphigher in the air than most anybody -

4-0 out of 5 stars Light Tracy-Hepburn-Style Romp Takes Well-Aimed Jabs at Greedy Doctors
I remember seeing this 1978 comedy at one of the bargain matinees I took in when I was looking for a study break from my college courses. Walter Matthau and Glenda Jackson do some effective Tracy-Hepburn-style thrusting-and-parrying in this featherweight romp directed by the reliable Howard Zieff (he did "Private Benjamin") about a newly widowed doctor's aggressive re-entry into the dating game. It all breezes by quickly primarily thanks to the clever script by veteran screenwriter Julius J. Epstein ("Casablanca") along with Alan Mandel, Max Shulman and future director Charles Shyer.
4-0 out of 5 stars Lighter Than Air, and What's Wrong With That?
In a career that featured a wealth of great comic performances, Walter Matthau gave few that were more delightful and relaxed than this one. In contrast to the wonderfully over-the-top style he displayed while winning an Oscar for "The Fortune Cookie" and being nominated for another in "The Sunshine Boys," Matthau employed a lighter but equally effective comic touch for this 1978 romantic comedy. He plays a widowed doctor who is over his grief and ready to sow some wild oats, only to find that he's fallen for a woman who wants nothing to do with his playboy ways. Glenda Jackson, who later left acting to join the British parliament, is a perfect match for Matthau's game, and the two trade barbs beautifully in a film that plays so leisurely that it's over before you know it. Look for superb supporting performances from Richard Benjamin as well as Art Carney as the dottering and caustic hospital administrator. He hams it up wonderfully in a part far removed from the nice guy he played in "The Honeymooners." This is one of those movies that looks like it was fun to make. It's definitely fun to watch.

5-0 out of 5 stars House Calls
Delightful romantic comedy benefits from a top-notch script (by Max Shulman and Julius Epstein-co-writer of "Casablanca"!), and the unexpected chemistry between lovable schlump Matthau and starchy Jackson, who are both fabulous. Affirming once again that true love will triumph over casual sex, "Calls" is a charming, clever romance, with plenty of laughs and heart. Matthau fans should flock to this.

5-0 out of 5 stars 45 Times and Counting
It is not a mistake: I have seen this movie so many times that I can only estimate the number of times I have seen it. One may ask if it has even started to lose some of its charm. Short answer: no. It is still a great and moving story now, even after 45-odd viewings.
4-0 out of 5 stars Moving performances
Neither Mr. Broderick nor Mr. Washington have been favorites of mine in the past but I must give them their due in their performances in Glory. Both gave stunning and moving performances. The visuals that made you feel like you were there were astounding as well.Mr. Broderick does a wonderful job of portraying a character who is sometimes self-righteous and self-seeking and at other times inspiring and self-abasing. Mr. Washington provides the angry man to bring out the more sedate and clear-thinking Morgan Freeman character. All come together in common bond that builds in fighting together for a common cause. It is a somewhat one-sided and shallow portrayal of the war's causes that may not go over well with the lovers of history. But, the coming-of-age band-of-brothers mood of the film is moving and enjoyable all the same. No matter which side you may favor in that conflict (if either), you will still find yourself cheering with the rest, "Give-em Hell 54th!"

5-0 out of 5 stars INSPIRATIONAL MASTERPIECE
Flawless movie making at its best! Patriotic and powerful telling of the true beginning-of-the-end for the Confederacy. Ex-slaves and free blacks alike, finally aloud to defend their dignity, were the final blow to the Southern bondage of an entire race of human beings history tells us. The Truth based story of the Massachusetts 54th. Only the beginning of black heroics during the Civil War.

3-0 out of 5 stars GINA AS A HOT, HOT COP
Good cop\ba d cop is a hollywood staple, the only thing that raises this film, even a little bit, is the performance by the always wonderful and sexy GINA GERSHON.GINA, in this one MAY be a BAD cop and a KILLER. If this film had a better script, direction, and secondary cast it might come close to a film noir classic. But once again THE GREAT GINA is saddled with second rate back-up.GINA I love you,but the film is only so,so.

5-0 out of 5 stars Gina Gershon is Hotter Than EVER!!
If you enjoy a movie with a basic plot, but with plenty of Gina Gershon then this IS it.Gershon does a good job acting wise, but my God, there isn't one frame in this film where she isn't breath takingly HOT!For all Gershon fans, check it out, and buy it for keeps.

5-0 out of 5 stars SEX AND SURPRISE;WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT?
This is how all of my reviews will start out..I bought this movie because of Rory.I was pleasantly surprised by what a great movie this turned out to be.It was not only interesting, but you weren't sure you had it figured out within the first 30 minutes. (I HATE those movies.)Everyone did a really good job, and the story made sense..instead of those..how in the h**l did you come up with that c**p to get to the ending? And if you've been waiting for Rory to show some skin, (that really nice body with wonderful hair..men, please quit shaving your body hair!) then this is the perfect movie for you!Oh yeah, and for the men, Gina gives you a peek also. And even though we all know he's not, Rory always does an excellent job of playing the innocent, shy, and reserved man waiting for you to crack the shell...you know..the eyes and the smile. It's a good story, with a little bit of the usual cop scenario, but winding enough to keep you wanting to see what's going to happen next. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars THE best movie, ever!!
WHY ISN'T THIS OUT ON DVD????? Uncle Meat is a work of genius that has stood the test of time - a brilliant dissection of the commercial music industry and art in general. The film offers great comedy, surreal footage and awesome avant garde musical performances. Frank Zappa is a genius! The best part is you can watch this again and again and never get bored, every time you discover something new. This has to be my favorite movie of all time. Highly recommended. Apple-O

2-0 out of 5 stars For hardcore Zappa fans ONLY
Man, I'm a pretty big Zappa fan, but this isn't the easiest movie to sit through. If you've seen 200 Motels, you have a basic idea of what to expect from Zappa the film-maker.However, while 200 Motels was bizarre, Uncle Meat is just plain inane. The movie follows no direction at all.Scenes of people talking about unrelated things are just stitched together to make the movie. The one thing that makes the movie worth seeing is the performance of the concert that appears on the "Ahead Of Their Time" CD.Even that isn't really enough to encourage anyone to pay anything over [dollar amount] for the movie.[...] ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Carl Sagan's Vision Comes Alive
This movie is based on Carl Sagan's novel of the same name.Carl is no longer with us, but he was a key component in the production of this film.Starring Jodie Foster, Matthew McConaughey, and William Fichtner, this fine film will capture your interest from the start, and even more so if you are into Science Fiction. You really get caught up in Ellie Arroway's heartfelt desire to make contact with another world. She gets her chance, and what follows is nothing short of miraculous.I cried during this movie. It tugs at your heartstrings in a big way at times. This is a truly great movie.

5-0 out of 5 stars No words...
This film always brings me to tears. No matter how much I know my emotionalstrings are being tugged, when Jodie Foster's face morphs into herself as a child and she whispers "No words"... well, I'm crying now.
5-0 out of 5 stars Carl Sagan would be proud
Somebody once said that good science fiction puts an ordinary situation into a futuristic or scientific backdrop. Contact is a prime example of how to make a good drama in a setting of science and exploration. It's as true an adaptation to Carl Sagan's novel as you can get considering what you have to do to make the events of the book fit into a feature film. They certainly don't skimp on the special effects either. The opening scene alone is beautiful in it's expansiveness. 'The Machine' hey build to do the space exploration thing is awesome to behold. They do a great job portraying the massive scale of it.

Editorial Review

A box-office hit when released in 1994, this sprawling, frequently overwrought familial melodrama may get sillier as its plot progresses, but it's the kind of lusty, character-based epic that Hollywood should attempt more often. It's also an unabashedly flattering star vehicle for Brad Pitt as Tristan--the rebellious middle son of a fiercely independent Montana rancher and military veteran (Anthony Hopkins)--who is routinely at odds with his more responsible older brother, Alfred (Aidan Quinn), and younger brother, Samuel (Henry Thomas). From the battlefields of World War I to his adventures as an oceangoing sailor, Tristan's life is full of personal torment, especially when he returns to Montana and finds himself competing with Alfred over Samuel's beautiful widow (Julia Ormond), whose passion for Tristan disrupts the already turbulent Ludlow clan. Under the wide-open canopy of Big Sky country, this operatic tale unfolds with all the bloodlust, tragedy, and scenery-chewing performances you'd expect to find in a hokey bestselling novel (in fact, it's based on the acclaimed novella by Jim Harrison), but it's a potent mix that's highly entertaining. Not surprisingly, John Toll won an Academy Award for his breathtaking outdoor cinematography. Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Legends Of The Dull
More predictable than an old TV Land episode of Bonanza and much less entertaining, this story of an anti-government rancher and his three sons, one the upstanding sort who seeks to work for good within the system, one an idealist, and the middle son, Tristan, played by Brad Pitt, a tormented man who seeks to find peace within nature's anger. At least that's what I think he was doing. The fact is I never was a fan of this movie, not back in the 1990's when my best friend loved it (and predicted Julia Ormond would be a superstar--sorry, Gina, if you ever read this, I just couldn't resist working that in there, ha-ha) and not upon the occasion of a recent second viewing. I don't think there's anything to really recommend this movie to anyone. It's not spectacular in its setting, it's not revolutionary in its by-the-numbers story, and I found then and still find now that it is highly melodramatic and boring. To each his own, I know some love this movie, but from where I sit, this film is a would-be epic that never rises above fluff.

3-0 out of 5 stars So bad it's funny??? I think so.....
I saw this when MST3K did it on the Sci-Fi Channel and it ranks right up there with MANOS-THE HANDS OF FATE.I couldn't believe the mistakes and the inept filmmaking going on...This is one werewolf movie you can't take seriously,so either you'll laugh at it or hate it....I rented the movie after I saw MST3K do it just to see what it was like without the riffs and believe me,you need the riffs! Not unless you make some of your own...Do I recommend it??Well,if you love bad movies, yes! But,if not, rent it and see for yourself!!

1-0 out of 5 stars No no NO!
There are only two ways in which to view this "movie".
4-0 out of 5 stars Did You Know???????????????
Did you know that Jorge Rivera costarred with John Wayne and many other famous actors? Did you know that Richard Lynch was a classically trained actor? Did you know that Joe Estevez is a "B" movie king? The lead in this film had never acted before. The female lead was being groomed by Tony Zarindast to be the next Marylyn Monroe yet she could hardly speak english. The script was being written daily while shooting. Billy went on to Co-Star in the T.V. Series "WILDWEST SHOWDOWN" as Dogbreath and Star in a Dentyne commercial. As well as the WILD WILD WEST STUNT SHOW at Universal Studios. Did you know that? Did you know that the film was shot mostly in Nevada and never in Arizona and that it was originally titled ARIZONA WEREWOLF? Keep an open mind about this film. Put yourself in front of or behind the camera if you can. Imagine how much fun this was and how much pleasure the end result has given so many people. Everyone should be so lucky to be a part of film history, and have a legacy, oscar potential or not, that will live longer than any of you.

3-0 out of 5 stars falls short of the first in every way
The first Shootfighter was one of the best original American made martial art movies ever in my opinion.Unfortunately, part 2 got lazy. This time the action takes place in Miami. The story is nothing more than a sting operation to discover who is behind the illegal Shootfighting ring, which ends up going bad.William Zakba, Michael Bernardo and Bolo Yeung are the only 3 to return from the first film.Sorry to say, but their roles in this film were pretty bland. As for the other characters in the film, it pretty much goes the same way.The villain and leader of the Shootfighter ring plays Shingo's (Bolo Yeung) brother in this film, but his character too is unimpressive and not convincing.
1-0 out of 5 stars Not good movie
I like the First movie, Shootfighters better than Second movie. It is not really interesting.

1-0 out of 5 stars Fascinating Like a Train Wreck
With the variety of entertainment available on today's market, it is rare to find an action film that can actually hold a is even rarer to find one that does so simply due to the poor quality of the film. This movie is so utterly repulsive that one can't help but stare on, fascinated by the sheer lack of imagination, befuddled by the few snippets of dialogue that string together into a "plot" (and I use the term VERY loosley), and generally curious to see just how much worse the movie can get. This movie could be used as a form of capital punishment (as it seems repeated viewing could cause brain atrophy), except that such a punishment would most assuredly fall into the category of "Cruel and Uusual". Actually spending money on movies such as "Shootfighter 2" only encourages studios to produce more of its ilk. In short, not only would I recommend never watching this movie, but I would also recommend that any existing copies be destroyed. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Sharp improvement over part "III"
Like the third film, part "IV" has no story connection to any of the other films in the series and this trend would continue throughout the rest of the films. Even though it has no connection, it actually turnes out to be one of the best in the series. The major difference here is that there is an actual plotto the story with twists, not just no brain action like in the first two films. Don "The Dragon" Wilson this time is a Repo Man that repossesses a car that contains nuclear triggers. Of course this is very bad and the owner in turn kidnapes his daugher. Dumb move on his part. The action is tremendous and Wilson's acting is starting to improve. Again, this is one of if not the best making it a sharp improvement over the cliche prision picture that called itself "Bloodfist III". This gets a 5 star rating on the B-Action chart.

5-0 out of 5 stars He ain't called "The Dragon" for nothin'
I just sort of stumbled onto the low-budgeted, popular kung-fu action series, BLOODFIST. Mind you, after Bloodfist II, these movies bare no connection to each other, so after Bloodfist II, it really doesn't matter what order you watch them in. 4-0 out of 5 stars C-grade storyScript, A-grade M.A. fighting& Culty villainess
Yes, very much the Martial-arts movie, but fights/fighting is perhaps even above-average, I wouldn't particularly choose Don Wilson or any of his opponents like Daniels or the rest seen here even if I was looking for a fight, based on this, are brutal, dirty, brawlish and relatively believable, except perhaps how much punishment Wilson and Daniels heap on each other before there is a winner. The fight in the restaurant towards the end, between Wilson and the two thugs, was pretty real, you could almost believe that might happen with 3 good street-fighters or something..its no messing around direct sort of fighting compared to some movie martial-arts.

1-0 out of 5 stars 20th Century Ripoff!!!
I specifically waited to buy this on DVD hoping to get a Todd-AO version and not just the Cinemascope version. The freaking Laserdisc looks better than this!I, for one, will not be buying any more "special editions" without reading the reviews in Amazon or elsewhere when it comes to 20th Century ripoff. This release reminds me of all the 20Th Laserdiscs that were first released when laser was just starting out and how poorly the transfers were treated...now it seems we're right back to the good old bad transfer days of yore.Yuk, I recommend that no one buy ANY of their discs (especially the upcoming crappy versions of STAR WARS non-anamorphic, non-5.1 sound original movies). These people suck big time!
5-0 out of 5 stars great
A true musical theater classic.Wonderful melodies that will last for years to come.
1-0 out of 5 stars Visual diappointment for a great format
Like several others, I agree that the Cinemascope version was well presented, but what a disappointment as far as the Todd-ao digital transfer! The original release I bought in 1999 gives a much clearer and brighter Todd-ao version that gives you a much better idea of what the original may have looked like. I enjoyed seeing "The Miracle of Todd-ao" again, but similarly the realism that was present in the original was lost, either due to poor quality of stock or inabilty to be able to digitally correct and sharpen the image. (I find it hard to imagine that Fox couldn't resore it better). There was an apology printed on our Region 4 version.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun, And a Very Serious Look at Family
Zahedi claims he is trying to prove the existance of God through the making of this film.God is to guide the film and make it good through His presence. This sensibility connects to Zahedi's interest in family togetherness (with his father and half-brother).Zahedi's ineptness makes the film better; whatever deserves credit for making this a 'good' film, it made sure to portray the real divisions between family members and how those divisions are present even in very ordinary situations.Zahedi's brother is so obviously a teenager of his time (complete with a Colorado University hat) that it really adds to the fun as well.

5-0 out of 5 stars I Don't Hate Las Vegas Anymore
This film is so entertaining and true to life. It takes you through the winding roads of family life as it changes from one generation to another. Most of all it magnifies the gap that often exists between immigrantparents and thier American children. A must see for those who like a doseof how funny family reality can be.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is Brilliant, Hilarious Filmmaking!!!!!!
Caveh Zahedi's "mocumentary" is about tkaing a trip to Vegas with his father, a first-generation Iranian immirgant, and his little brother. He has always felt alienated from his family so he decides tobring a film crew from UCLA film school to film the trip. He wants to feellove with his father and brother, so he asks them to take ecstacy with himso that they can have a pure, loving trip together. The father has a heartcomdition and the little brother cites the mantra he's been taught atschool: "just say no". Caveh's angst-ridden musing is amazing...the film is maddening and sad and funny and you should see it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Kick ASS
Colin Firth is of course, awesome in the film, and if you're like me and enjoy low budget, and somewhat twisted thrillers, you will enjoy this. Mr. Firth's character alone makes the movie worth it. Excellent acting, as always, and the character is just... yummy, in a way. Great movie, but I admit, only because of Colin Firth.

1-0 out of 5 stars Turn off the sound
This video is soley for those who enjoy looking at the very handsome Colin Firth. The story is unlikely, confusing and2-0 out of 5 stars Not even Colin can save this one.
OK, here's the plot. A struggling actress hears from her friendly neighborhood bartender that there is this acting coach who helped some well-known movie star to the big time. So, she drives to his sprawling mansion in the Hollywood Hills, and undergoes some rather bizarre exercises to discover her inner talent...or something like that. Colin Firth plays the coach, who moves through rapid mood swings, keeps a mysterious room (complete with red light over the door), and looks great in various stages of undress. The plot gets a little murky after this, but, eventually she is led to believe that he is killing off the young actresses he is supposed to be helping, tries to escape, returns, kills him (she thinks), and is traumatized by the whole experience. Lest you think I am giving too much away, let me assure you, I am not. The problem is, after this, there are more questions than answers, pieces of the puzzle don't ever fit together, and I got the distinct impression that the writer/director simply gave up. Colin Firth does a credible job with characters not quite complete, while the female lead (whose name is not even listed on the video cover) rates a C- in acting ability. Granted, her role is also a bit vague. It is implied that she is an alchoholic, yet she quits drinking cold turkey with no problems whatsoever. At times she is a scared little girl, and others, a seductress. Then there is the confusion of whether the actor, who pretends to be the acting coach, is a sympathetic person or not, and if the acting coach is actually killed and, if so, by who?Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars What more can I say?
What more can I say about this comedic masterpiece. Is there anything that Trey Parker and Matt Stone can't do? They have looked into the face of adversity and farted right back at them Terrance and Philip style. This movie is a gem from start to finish.Trey keeps the slapstick going the whole time, something Family Guy likes to rip off of the comic duo often (as we have seen in a recent episode of South Park entitled "Cartoon Wars").The best thing about this movie is Kenny AKA "Little Bitch."When I thought i could't laugh anymore, his character always took it too the next level (much like in Orgazmo as well).
5-0 out of 5 stars Matt and Trey: Media Masterminds!
Basketball is one of my favorite movies. I'm a guy that has very limited shelf space when it comes to movies, but with Basketball there was no question. I put off seeing this movie for years, but when I finally did I couldn't get enough! The story, plot, jokes, and some original songs, are genious!!! I now own several other feature length films by this comic duo, and I am looking forward to more. If your a skeptic like I was, just give it a try, you might be pleasantly supprised.

5-0 out of 5 stars Genius....pure genius
Baseketball is about a group of friends who form a winning team and experiences the trials and tribu.....ah who care! This is a Parker and Stone moive! It's crude. Its childish. It's disgusting. It's Homophobic. It's awesome! This movie will make you pee your pants laughing. But it's not for anyone looking for any kind of clean comedy. It's raunchy just like verything else that Trey and Matt do.A must have for any Southpark fan. ...
