5-0 out of 5 stars THIS MOVIE KICKS!!
Well, i figured it would be much eaiser to use the kids reviw-less time spent, more wrighting! A message to everyone who has not seen this movie - Your missing out on a classic. The move is about a girl named carly beth ( Wich in itself is creepy) who is allways getting picked on. Chuck and Steve, two classmates, are allways playing jokes on her, trying to scare her. Which by the way allways works. Carly Beth Wants to get eternal revenge on them for thier crule tricks, so, she goes out to find a scary mask. One day she stumbles into a novelty shop and basicly steals a mask. By the way, allthough this movie was made from smaller childeren, I found the mask scary. The artsits did a great job. It really looks real! Im a teenager and i was scared! Well, slightly anyhow. The rest of the plot developes into a halloween night of revenge and the creepy thruth about the mask at the end.

I realized something today, this one was better than The Haunted Mask II! I've always liked The Haunted Mask II more than the first. But now, I like the first movie better. It's so cool how the mask becomes one with you. Buy the movie! I can't see why anyone wouldn't like this movie (Except for my brother). ... Read more

This big, fat theatrical bomb has a lot going for it. There's the three leads, Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker, playing three resurrected witches who wreak havoc on Salem, Massachusetts, 300 hundred years after they were hung. There's music, special effects, and magic. There's a surprisingly horror-filled plot. Whoops, hold up on that last one. It's probably the extremes that this film goes to (displaying a Disney label), such as the witches sucking the life out of a little girl in the first five minutes, that put the brakes on any success for Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun filled witchy romp!
I have loved this movie ever since my mom took me to see it in the theater when I was 6 years old. Ever since (even after I was allowed to watch actual scary halloween movies) this has been my very favorite movie to put in the DVD player, pop some popcorn and have fun.
5-0 out of 5 stars Favorite Holloween Movie
I absolutely love the movie Hocus Pocus! It was the first Holloween movie I was ever allowed to see and remains my favorite Holloween movie ever!! I always have it in the Dvd player and always have it playing. I love the whole Salem story line. I even have a black cat I named Binx!

When you are in the mood for a pleasant little romance, this should fit the bill. Amy Irving and Richard Dreyfuss are young pianists vying for the same prize. Surprise, surprise, they fall in love. We then must wait, with (nearly) breathless anticipation, to see if she will throw the contest to ensure his love. It is all a bit starry-eyed, but not overly gooey. The concert footage is handled with class, and there are some fine supporting performances from Sam Wanamaker and Lee Remick. It is also a lot of fun to see Dreyfuss and Irving as such fresh-faced innocents. Read more

A very enjoyable film for all, but particulary if you are a musician. My VHS copy is fading fast.Would buy it on DVD in a heartbeat.PLEASE re-release on DVD soon.

This is one of Dreyfus' best.
5-0 out of 5 stars Time for DVD Please !!!
Just a short review of amovie I would immediately buy if released on DVD.I saw this movie with a group of piano students about 25 years ago, and it seemed to embody much of the angst, joys, and politics of this type of competition.Although somewhat trite, the movie provided a themefor a group of college aged music students to identify with.I check about once a year to see if this movie is available on DVD, and alas---not yet. I will keep checking in hopes that the studios will see this little gem for what it is! ... Read more

I only saw like two shows, but theese are nothing compared to the awsome books! I wish they copied the books axactly and got better acters, then i'd be worth it!

2-0 out of 5 stars Animorphs The Invasion Series pt. 1, The Incasion Begins!
I am a really big Animorphs fan, and to tell you the truth, this show sucked compared to the book series.A lot of the books' story's were meshed into one, making an akward episode. Also they left us at a cliffhanger point!
4-0 out of 5 stars Not as good as the books, but it's still good.
This three episode vhs contains some of the best episodes of the t.v show. "The first three." The show is no where near as good as the books. I only wished that they had made a CGI animorphs show or something. The lack of fighting is the only thing lacking in this. Other than that the caracters are portrayed farly well and the differences from the book are tollerated. I own every one of the books and have read them all. I've seen all of the episodes in the series as well. And I own all four of the VHS tapes. I've also taped nearly every episode in ther series, but I am missing 3. I wish they would realese the full season one and season two onto DVD. I would buy it the day it came out. With all of the other DVD sets coming out I'm hoping that this one will be released soon.

5-0 out of 5 stars I Can Watch This Over and Over and ......
Bob Wiley arrives at Dr. Marvin's office. Little does this psychologist on the verge of national recognition realize that this new patient is like human crazy glue. Bob follows Dr. Marvin and his family to their vacation home in Lake Winnepesaukee, New Hampshire, where he endears himself to the doctor's family and simultaneously drives the doctor bananas, literally.
4-0 out of 5 stars No one plays low key and laid back like Bill
And he does it well in this quiet side spliting comedy.Richard is the uptight, overly sure of his psychological abilities, kind of pompus shrink who just wrote a best seller (which is what psychologist's live for).Bill is the seriously afflicted nerotic Richard inherits from another doctor trying to dump him off on an unsuspecting collegue.Richard goes away with his family for a month of vacation and Bill totally freaks out, trying every way he knows how to find out were Richard went. Bill finally finds out were they are, and shows up on Richards front step.Much to Richards chagrin, Bill's childlike quirkiness endears him to Richards family, so much so, that they practically invite him to move in.This movie is not slapstick, but very low key hilarious.Enjoy!

5-0 out of 5 stars A FUNNY AND ENJOYABLE BILL MURRAY COMEDY
Bob Wiley (Bill Murray) is an insufferable neurotic with a bad case of agoraphobia. His latest psychiatrist is the equally insufferable novelist-shrink, Dr. Leo Marvin (Richard Dreyfuss). The two hit it off in this hilarious film of Doctor-Patient meltdown. When Bob is told that his newest psychiatrist is going on a one month vacation--no problem, Right? Wrong! Bob goes through every means at his disposal to find out just where his Doctor has gone.

3-0 out of 5 stars Well.....................................
It could have been more realistic, but the special effects were good, the andalite ship looked cool, the music fit the movie, & it was darmatic ( I know, I spelled it wrong! sorry.) Over all it was okay, but they should have followed the books better. Read the books first, but the movie is worth watching. It has really good graficis. Howenver, they need to make everything ( espeillay the andalites) more realistic. And they seriously need to take out thatpart where Visser 3 pretends to be an adalite and goes, "Andalite cousin....." That is annoying & stupid. This was a good movie, though. Don't buy it, but get it from a libaray. It's worth watching.

3-0 out of 5 stars Well, it's okay.......................
I really like the books, but the movie twisted things around WHAY to much. To start:A)Where's Marco's sense of humor? B)Why does Visser 3 spend so much time in human morph? C)Ax is found in the ocean, NOT the construction site! D) Andilites DO NOT have manes! Where'ed they get that idea? E) After the first setence, Ax speaks perfectly- where's the stuttering? F) Why is Ax always in human morph? G)Why can't we ever see an ENTIRE andalite? H) THERE IS NO DISK! I)Andalite have 7 NOT 5 fingers J)Rachel is an ELEPHANT, not a lion, and Marco is a grorrila K)Where are the morphing outfits? L) Ax is supposed to be a technaligical genius M) Where's Cassie's morphing talent?

As if alien invasion isn't enough to deal with, Rachel finds out herdivorced dad is moving 1,000 miles away and wants her to leave her friends, mother, and sister behind and join him in "The Stranger," the first of three 24-minute episodes based on the Scholastic book series by K.A. Applegate. While she is mulling over Dad's offer, Rachel and the rest of the band ofmorphing teenagers face a tempting offer: stay on earth and fight whatappears to be a losing battle to the invading Yeerks, or take refuge on a safeplanet with their families. In "The Leader," parts 1 and 2, Jake and Marcoare caught morphing into animals and launched into space to face a powerful new Yeerk leader, Visser One, who turns out to be the mother Marco thoughthad been dead for two years. The three episodes from Nickelodeon's prime-time series are sandwiched by extra footage of Marco first making his case to quit theteens' quest to save the earth and then, after discovering his mother's fate, vowing to fight until she is free. This well-produced adventure seriescombines domestic tales with science fiction geared toward ages6-12. Read more

    3-0 out of 5 stars concerned reader/watcher
The show is okay, but has no comparison to the book series. The books are more graphic, and funnier. Also, They twist the story around.Like in the reaction.Rachel is the one who has the allergec reaction, not cassie. The actors can't act either. The people who played Jake, Tobias, and Cassie are the only people that I have seen on other T.V. shows.

1-0 out of 5 stars Read the books
Read the books. They are awsome one of the best book series ever made. This show is [is bad]. Morphing is only showed half the time. In the books there are intenes battles and an awsome story. In this show there are no battles just sneaking around. There are no Taxxons. The andalites look like weird mupputs and you never see there whole body at once. Ax and Visser three are always in human morph. The hork bajar look right but they don't move anywhere. They just stand there. Remember the witty and smart dialoge of the books replaced with stupid and unrehersed acting of the show. The charactors don't look like the book charactors at all. Read the books don't watch this [show].

5-0 out of 5 stars The Enemy Among Us
This movie is great. The 4th one is the best but this one is right behind it.In the Stranger Rachel is offered by her dad to move 1,000 miles away with him. Then Jake, Rachel, Marco, and Cassie are warned by Tobias that Ax is in trouble. They attempt to save him but are caught in a net. Then the net vanishes.Tobias is in human form much to everyone's suprise. They are greeted by a being called the Ellimist. He offers them a chance to leave Earth with their families including a human Tobias, Tom, and possibly Marco's mom.He shows them what happens in the future after they are caught.Rachel is Visser Three's (now Visser One) best warrior and Tobias was roasted and eaten with barbaque sauce.Rachel takes a knife from her older self. The Animorphs refuse his offer. They are caught in the net.Rachel cuts it with the knife.Marco and Rachel save Ax and Rachel doesn't go with her father. In The leader Part 1 Jake discovers there is a second Kandrona at the EGS tower. They set out to destroy it. JAke and Marco are captured and taken to the Mother Ship where MArco discovers a suprising secret. In Part 2 Jake and Marco steal a Blade SHip and with Ax's help they get back to Earth.Marco now has a new reason to fight the Yeerks. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars For shame
These books are great and the movie made a joke out of them. Visser 3 looks like a blue hair ball and theirs NO ACTION!

1-0 out of 5 stars A shame to the name Animorph
This like its predeseres is an insult to the magical books. The books were great this wasn't. Gone is the intense action and fights the book described. Now we get garbage sneaking around. The andalites are very fake and are never showen all at once. No taxxons at all. The hork bajar just stand there. Gone is the witty smart acting of the books replaced by total garbage. Read the books and stay away from this.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Legacy Survives
This is the best of the 4 movies! The 3 episodes are The Capture Parts 1 and 2 and Not My Problem. In the Capture Part 1 The animorphs discover the yeerks are in charge of a health clinic where the governor will receive a treatment and if the Yeerk's plan is successful he will be a human-controller.He is also running for president! Jake falls into the Yeerk Pool and becomes a controller. In the Capture Part 2 Ax figures out that Jake is a human-controller.Jake keeps reassuring the animorphs that he is not and they figure they must lock him up for 3 days to be sure.On the thrid day Jake waits for Rachel (who is guarding him) to fall asleep. He then morphs to dog and escapes the barn undetected (or so he thinks). He leads the animorphs to a new entrance to the Yeerk Pool.He finds out that his friends knew he escaped since Rachel had only been pretending. The Yeerk dies and the Animorphs meet at the mall where Jake calls tom disgusing his voice telling him not to give up.In Not My Problem Jake has had enough between fighting Yeerks and keeping up with his schoolwork. He wishes he never met the Elfangor and the Ellimist grants his wish. Then durind their new lives Tobias (who is the only animorph) tells Rachel about the Yeerk threat. At 1st she thinks he's nuts.Later they all go to a Sharing meeting where Tobias is caught sneeking around. It is then revealed that Jake is a controller. After school Tobias calls Rachel and asks her to meet him at the Spider Club (the place where the Sharing meeting was held).Jake follows her and a lion saves her from Jake. The lion turns out to be Tobias. He and Rachel tie Jake up and then Jake askshim about the "andalite" that attacks him.It turns out that Rachel has been a controller since the previous night and then she tells Jake everything.Tobias tries to escape but Tom, Cassie, Marco, and 2 punks cut off his escape. He is captured and Visser 3 comes in and promotes Jake to Visser 10.Jake tries to infest Tobias but fails when the real Jake fights back.Jake is then in his room back in a world where Tobias is still a hawk, the animorphs exist and none of them are controllers. Was it a dream or real? All in all this is a great movie. ... This movie is very good, but if you repeat watching it, you'll notice it's boring. Yes, this movie has a horrible novelty factor -- it gets old. It's mildly scarry.

It must be Indiana Jones! German East Africa, 1916:
5-0 out of 5 stars We did kidnap my father! It's a nightmare!
All right, I'm biased. When I watched the whole series on TV I was only about 7, so my memories of most of the episodes are all but nonexistent."Phantom Train" is one of the exceptions, and the most vivid in my mind.So naturally I enjoyed watching it again, even more than the others. It's great as a breather between "Trenches of Hell" and "Oganga", which are very thoughtful and serious. It is a tad hokey, but in that respect most like the Harrison Ford movies.Indy undergoes character developement, however, which is good. The first half has plenty of action, but Indy learns his lesson of the day, and this lesson actually sticks with him and is seen in the movies. That is, that the ability to improvise is a quality.5-0 out of 5 stars VERY, VERY GOOD VIDEO
I've been an Indiana Jones fan for over six years and this was one of the first young Indy videos I watched.I have seen about half of the episodes available on video and so far this is still my favorite. It had a good story with good acting and great special effects. It is a classic tale of adventure in Africa. In the first part of the video Indy accidently goes on a mission to blow up a mysterious train with a flat-bed mounted cannon that has been shelling allied troops but cannot be found. In the second part of the video, Indy and his army buddy Remmy try to survive the wilds of Africa with an important german military prisoner. They run into hostile bush-men, lions, and are being pursued by the entire German army the whole time.Action-packed and full of surprises along with nice bits of humor in appropriate places this video should delight anyone intereseted in Indiana Jones. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars RIP OFF
IF you have eyes, youll notice that everything else goosebumps is under $5, or close to. Yea, no way is that smart to price it that high. Ive never even heard of that one, and I used to collect them!

3-0 out of 5 stars ...You gotta remember it's Goosebumps.
The acting is terrible the story of Slappy makes not a lick of sence(mainly because Slappy gets killed in Night of the Living Dummy II and III) And the ending to "An Old Story" is (REAL) cheesey. But like I said: "...You gotta remember it's Goosebumps."
1-0 out of 5 stars Only Watch If You're Looking For A Good Laugh...
Unless you're a toddler that scares REALLY easily, this is pathetic. The acting, especially in "Bride of the Living Dummy," is terrible and annoying. An embarrassment to the usually great Goosebumps series. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Biollante!
This is the sequel to Godzilla 1985. The movie is entertaining even if Godzilla is fighting a giant rose monster. It turns into a Godzilla like plant later in the movie and really gives Godzilla a beating! Overall the movie is good, not boring; the only thing wrong with it is that sometimes they call Godzilla "Godziller" which is a little annoying

5-0 out of 5 stars Plant vs. Lizard!!!!!! Who will win?
The answer to the title question is Biollante (plant). A dr. creates a giant plant using Godzilla's cells. Like every other Godzilla movie, Godzilla battles Biollante. Biollante battles Godzilla in his Rose form. Godzilla beats Biollante and Biollante seems to die (yeah right). Godzilla does some damage and about thirty minutes later Godzilla battles Biollante final form. They have a pretty good fight, but in the end, Biollante forces Godzilla to retreat from battle. Biollante then turns into cells and they go up into space. It is a direct sequel from Godzilla 1985. I like this movie alot. I wish it were out on DVD.

4-0 out of 5 stars A GOOD FAMILY HORROR
Welcome to Dead House is a pretty good family horror edition of Goose Bumps with some genuine, but not too intense scares for young one.A family of four moves into an old house in a town called Dark Falls. The name Dark Falls is appropriate as it always seems to be dark in the town.Even when the sun is out, the large, overgrown trees seem to always block it out.Josh and Amanda are the two kids that immediately have bad feelings about the town. They meet up with some other kids in town who act very strange and are very pale.
3-0 out of 5 stars Welcome to dead house
The movie was okay, but the pacing was a little slow. I was actually waiting for the movie to be over. At the end when all of the dead people were in the house, they sound really stupid. But, otherwise, it was a good movie.

    Editorial Review

The off-Broadway comedy-horror-musical hit that ran for years makes a successful transfer to film with a bevy of big-name cameos and two perfectly cast leads. Rick Moranis is the nebbish Seymour, who pines for flower-girl Audrey (Ellen Greene) while living in the basement of florist Mr. Mushnik (Vincent Gardenia). Things start turning around for Seymour, though, after he buys a little plant during a solar eclipse, christens it Audrey II, and discovers that it likes to drink blood. Soon enough, though, Seymour finds out that Audrey II, now grown to epic proportions, is in actuality a "mean green mother from outer space" that is hell-bent on world domination. Based on the 1960 Roger Corman cheapie that featured a young Jack Nicholson, Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome
I knew nothing of Little Shop of Horrors before I bought the DVD, except that it was a musical. I'm very happy that I bought it. It's one of my favorite musicals now. The hit off-broadway musical was a success in its transition to film. The special effects of Audrey II were also amazing and very life-like (especially for the 80s). And of course the acting and the music was amazing. Rick Moranis did a great job, and seems to have been made for this role.

5-0 out of 5 stars "I'm a mean, green mutha from outer space!"
This movie is freakin' WEIRD! Thankfully, I like weird. For the uninitiated, this is a musical about a man-eating plant (voiced by Levi Stubbs of The Four Tops). It must be seen to be believed. Our hero, Seymour, discovers a never-before-seen plant, naming it Audrey II (after his coworker and love interest, Audrey). Turns out, the plant eats humans, as he learns when it drinks his blood. At first, Seymour befriends the plant, who helps him get around Audrey's boy friend, a sadistic dentist (the song about him and pseudo-S&M scene that result are freakin' hilarious!) Eventually, things get out of hand - the plant's uniqueness earns Seymour much fame, even though nobody is aware of the plant's dangers. When the plant eats Seymour's boss, things get out-of-hand, and the final battle between the two is hilarious also - Levi Stubbs offers his amazing pipes, declaring "I'm a mean, green mutha from outer space!" - one of my favorite movie quotes. This movie is a real side-splitter, and must be seen!

5-0 out of 5 stars just great fun
Rick Moranis is adoreable, Steve Martin is appropriately sleazy, and Ellen Greene is a most unlikely heroine.Taken as a whole, this movie is wonderful...charming even.A definite must have for anyone who enjoys all things quirky but sweet. ... Read more
